Both QBs played far better than I expected but it brought some attention to the stupidest rule in the league that hands to the fact is an automatic first down on that 4th and 27 or whatever it was. Should be 5 yards + repeat of downs not automatic first down. Hands to the fact is simply not something that can be justified as a game changing penalty like an automatic first down gives
I did think Newton getting hit in the head being offset by the intentional grounding is ridiculous. Basically if he had held on to the ball and taken that same hit he would have got a 15 yard penalty but because he tried to throw it away and got fucked up It's nullified.
