Was Game of Thrones' Battle of the Bastards better than Breaking Bad's Ozymandias? Both of these episodes are the highest rated of their respective shows, with 10s on IMDB
GoT versus Breaking Bad

cant believe "Ozymandias" remains with 10. it's not even the best episode of the series. not even of that fucking season
I literally can't choose. The two greatest achievements in the history of television, hell probably all of visual media.
I'm not sure, but the episodes definitely helped their respective shows cement their place in "Golden Trilogy" of Television Series.
These two series along with Sherlock represent the true capabilities of television as a medium.
Art has never been more beautiful. Probably shouldn't even make tv anymore after GoT. What an achievement.
Damn. What episode did you like better then?
I think I can. While BotB was very visually pleasing to watch, it didn't leave me trembling like Ozymandias did. Watching the culmination of everything Walt worked for was more thrilling than a raw, medieval siege. And it was a lot better written.
golden trilogy? got, bb and sopranos?
Should I re watch breaking bad? I really like the start but the memes ruined the ending for me.
I should never have visited reddit.
GoT, BrBa and Fargo
Oh, hey, another Game of Thrones thread.
Mine just got deleted but this one is still up for some reason.
>battle of bastards
>highest rated got episode
just shows the level of pleb shit that watch and rate this show now. it's not even the best large battle of the series... that's hardhome.
Sopranos, TD S1, Fargo
Battle of the bastards wasn't even a top 5 got episode
I don't care enough to check if it's true, but everything this season other than Hodor origin story was just disappointing. I don't know why they think doing big Braveheart type battles for episode 9 is what people want.
>I don't know why they think doing big Braveheart type battles for episode 9 is what people want.
Because that's what people want. Their 2nd highest rated episode is last season's equivalent at Hardhome
Typical GoT normie fag hyperbole.
There are so many episodes of television that are better than BoB. Especially when you actually break it down
>Mereen battle was shit
>Yara/Dany scene was shit
>The whole series has been building up to the Mereen battle. It was shit
>Deus ex Salsa
>John Snu's ability to dodge thousands of arrows (doesn't bother me desu)
The battle setpiece was the only thing that hit, for me.
I can name so many hallmark episodes of television that required no CGI setpieces, just penomenal writing
>Long Term Parking
>Ozymandias
>The Suitcase
>Homerooms
>International Assassin
etc. Hardhome was better than BoB.
That's so boring though. It's just 20 minutes of people swinging swords around in a crowd when we're supposed to get actually important moments like Ned's execution or the Red Wedding. Even Blackwater, which was the first thing they showed to a big battle scene, was more about the individuals making big choices during the siege rather than senseless action.
>implying imdb ratings mean anything
Yes. But BB is the better show overall.
*tip*
I legitimately can't tell if you guys are memeing or just plain retarded.
>'le popular = equals bad XDD' mindset
grow up
>not even the best large battle of the series... that's hardhome
you misspelled blackwater
How does it feel being a contrarian piece of shit? They're the two highest rated episodes ever on IMDB.
Game of Thrones is legit dog shit.
The Walking Dead of fantasy.
That shot is pure capeshit. The episode was great though, the scenes with Sansa and Cersei, Sansa and The Hound, wew lad. I miss when the show had good writing.
>on IMDB
Why are memers the worst posters?
Battle of the Bastard was so predictable.
So yeah. Ozymandias > Hardhome >>>>> BOTB
I thought this episode was even worse than the last one.
agreed, its one of the most overrated episodes in existence
>Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad are 2 of the top 3 TV series' of all time
Here's your (You)
Both were objective 4/10 and subjective 8/10 at best.
>2 of the top 3
There is no 3rd series. GoT and BB are in a class of their own.
Both shows are epic as fuck it cannot be denied
breaking bad is fucking shit
the real GOAT episode
BB got a bit silly but at least it was entertaining.
>Run
The one where Trinity shows up in Dexter's office fucking blew me away at the time, have to say I haven't seen it since it aired though
Ozymandias is clearly a much better episode. You can make a fantastic battle scene but if it's poorly written and has little weight in terms of overall plot it's missing something.
