I pity you more than anything
dude expand your taste and listen to something completely different. Also where the fuck is madvillain
I don't like them,
Judge mine!
why the fuck is shitty fun. on there, what is wrong with you
How come?
the most similar taste to mine I've ever seen
Well, I dunno, I just like it, it's... fun... to listen to.
I was tryin to think of another word, I didn't want a pun, but I really can't.
Sue me.
>rock music
I'm actually vomiting right now
I'm not that adventurous when it comes to music if it wasn't obvious idk who madvillain is
you forgot to put anything good on there
Oh no. I'll bring you a plastic bag so you can cover your face!
Idk I think they're all good. 3 of the top 4 I didn't even like that much on my first listen
This is the most KTT looking chart I have ever seen
do yourself a favor
listen to the all the original songs they sampled for all those albums and come back in a year
Don't listen to this fucking fedora
this has to be bait right? no ones this closed minded.
Do the original songs have the same lyrics bc if not what's the point?
You'd be surprised
Recognise a few of the names but couldn't name any songs from any of those albums from memory. Ngl you sound old af
What? How do I sound old?
I literally have Post-Grunge and Fun. in my chart.
Is it the Pink Floyd albums?
Yeah kinda
I keep putting off telefone it's meant to be good
some good stuff
never liked grimes much desu though
I dont think it makes him look old desu
How old are you?
I am convinced I know you, OP, just by looking at your music taste.
You're 18, you drive. Your brother is an architect
the point is exploring new music and getting out of your comfort zone.
>Pink Floyd
>Nine Inch Nails
>Red Hot Chili Peppers
>Smashing Pumpkins
>Foo Fighters
It's good.
I like Art Angels, mostly. I enjoy her other albums, but not as much.
I think Sup Forums's Grimes Fanboys ruin her even for me though, they're incredibly annoying.
>Culdesac
>Because the Internet
>I Decided.
>The Incredible True Story
>Camp
>Kauai
>STN MTN
>Stoney
>Watch the Throne
>2014 Forest Hills Drive
>Major Key
>Royalty
get out you literal meme
Just realized how bad I need to edit my chart.
The Cranberries' album is incomplete and That last Pet Shop Boys album is "Yes" not "Very"
>idk who madvillain is
how the fuck can you be such a backpacker and not know the ultimate backpack rap album
Except it's not. it's the ultimate shitty lo-fi rap album. Quasimoto is far better for if you want to listen to anything Madlib
18 if you haven't guessed by the amount of Logic on the list lol
I'm still exploring within the 2/3 genres on the chart I only really started listening to music a year and a half ago. It's called a comfort zone for a reason
Yes, failed my test, and no I don't think so
Not a Gambino fan then
I'm shit at formatting, was going to say to give Telefone a listen it's like 45 minutes and such a good album.
Are your initials either HS, OG, DM or CHC?
Just say yes if it's one of them
Or DG or TD
well get out of it :)
Let me guess. You're white middle-upper class and a liberal, aren't you?
have you tried eno and cale
Divine Styler - Spiral Walls Containing Autumns Of Light
so is this a chart thread now?
hip hop is better in non english languages
www - neurobeat
lolazo
doble lolazo
tabula rasa overrated
Vijay Iver - A Cosmic Rhythm for Each Stroke
only reccing because near identical album cover
Not me specifically but this applies to about 4 of my friends with similar music tastes so fair play. I'm black, working class and more liberal than conservative but I was raised to not get involved w/ politics so I haven't really sat down and decided what my views are
Atleast put the shameless GKMC ripoff Under Pressure before GKMC
No sorry none of those are me
Not pictured: my favourite song of all time- Fortune by Lost Triibe
youtu.be
Wasn't a fan of the rest of the EP so it's not on the chart
man stop giving us black ppl bad names
shit taste dawg
Nah that's effort
I listen to a lot more than this but I think this shows what I listen to pretty well. I need metal and hardcore recs
Was there any artist in particular that me liking gives black people a bad name?
> Drake
> The Weeknd
> A lot of fucking people I don't feel like mention all of them
Damn, you really need to look up for more music.
> Le Wall
Other than that it's ok guess... wait, what the fuck, is that Stain?... well, some good stuff.
Mom!
> A Thousand Suns
What
I like this chart, pretty good.
This is a nice chart.
> I need metal and hardcore recs
Well, I have what you're looking for, listen to Until Your Heart Stops.
>Late Registration
Finally for a second I was beginnin to think I was the only one
Nah
try giles corey if you havent
uhh,...julien baker maybe. Im lost
springsteen - nebraska
its all too same man. gain an identity
>springsteen - nebraska
I already listened to it. Nice chart.
Fair enough it's a bit samey but if this thread is any indication my tastes aren't that mainstream in the slightest
that cover is shit tho, like you can hardly read what it says
this heat - health and efficiency
>This is a nice chart.
thanks
your chart is ok
ever given andy stott a try?
que
>I need metal
what kind man thats too broad
listening to the music you love > identity
i learned this far too late
tabula rasa? doesnt amtter if you cant read what it says it looks nice
>Until Your Heart Stops
Good shit ty :^]
>listening to the music you love > identity
if you have explored around thats fine.
but if you haven't how do you really know you love what you do?
ya but it doesn't look very good either so it's like a lose-lose situation
>ever given andy stott a try?
Yeah, I listened to Too Many Voices last year, nothing impressive but I liked it.
You're welcome.
>but if you haven't how do you really know you love what you do?
Because I listened to it and enjoyed it? That's like saying how do you know you love pizza if you've never eaten Ethiopian food
fucking shit taste dude
>That's like saying how do you know you love pizza if you've never eaten Ethiopian food
no its not lol. you would be better off saying italian cuisine vs ethiopian cuisine.
>Because I listened to it and enjoyed it?
yeah for now! but in time will you still enjoy it? i'm not telling you to listen to fucking stockhausen . just explore more. i really doubt you still enjoy the same things you liked as an 12 yr old to your current age.
>but if you haven't how do you really know you love what you do?
well if they enjoyed it, then they know they love it. of course the more music you listen to the more albums you find that you love, but that doesn't mean you don't really love the ones you currently have.
i havent heard that one, luxury problems is where it's at. do you like basic channel? if so, check out Maurizio.
>yeah for now! but in time will you still enjoy it?
some of them, of course they won't. we've all had records we've dearly loved that turned out to just be passive affections. the problem is, we can't go into the future to see what albums we'll like months or years from now.
>the downward spiral
Fair play, user
>do you like basic channel? if so, check out Maurizio.
Yeah, I like them. I think I listened to one of their tracks once, but I completely forgot about them, so thanks for the reminder, I'll pay a listen.
You put fucking Coloring Book and BIG SEAN over Blonde. The fuck wrong with you.
>try giles corey if you havent
I have, though I should re-listen desu, I don't remember much from the album.
>implying sampling isn't art
yeah I will do, thanks
I tried cale's fear but haven't tried his other stuff or anything with eno yet
yes, hi :)
she's been on my backlog for ages, i kept forgetting her
I meant their collaboration, Wrong Way Up. It's real good
If it's in the "other favourites" category i stopped ordering them just realised I didn't mention that. I couldn't be assed
Here's my hip-hop chart
Can you explain the appeal of Yeezus to someone who's only listened to it twice? I'm not shitting on you for liking it but I honestly wanna know why it's a lot of people's favourite Kanye album
It's hard to explain, but I find it great because of the way every element of the album is masterfully blended together. Songs like Hold My Liquor, Guilt Trip, and I'm In It are almost completely new sounds to hip-hop and I love them.
>Drake
>Logic
>Watch the Throne
>All those fucking Kanye albums and not even Yeezus
Never thought I would live up to see somebody's music taste worse than mine, but hey, anything blows.
Nice chart, I love most of the albums there I recognize. Should I start with B.I.G with Ready to Die?
Fantastic Planet! Man, I thought I was the only one. Great chart.
What's wrong with Logic? Under Pressure is a great album man
Good chart user, though I'm not a fan of 70's Pink Floyd at all. Fantastic Planet is awesome, I wish more people listened to it.
where did you make this chart?
Topsters.
...
thanks my man
yes!
let us all judge each other
Oh! You reformatted. This looks nice. Do you like Woody Guthrie?
essendon airport palimpsest
Red headed stranger willie nelson
Fiddler on the roof
Jesus christ superstar
Little shop of horrors
Would you believe that I could never get into les mis?
Prince Paul Prince among thieves
Fuck do I know about hip hop
not much anymore thats the honest answer
Dying for recs, please excite me
Would prefer less japanese noise, don't get me wrong I like the japs and their noises but I need something new
I am searching for that new sound
Just recommend me something that is both familiar to my tastes, attention grabbing so I don't need to research it but also groundbreaking and innovative
Or any old trash will do
I quite like trash
>Would you believe that I could never get into les mis?
i don't know i haven't ever come in contact with whatever les mis is
i really don't like andeersonpaaaak.
try black up
That makes a lot of sense since I actually quoted you by accident Brian. I looked at your chart, said come up with a rec for this guy, and couldn't do it. Then I went on to:
this guy here and tried to give him recs instead because it was much easier.
Les mis a shortening of Les Miserables
I never got into it brian
except this one time in high school where I was also into dark cabaret and plotting my suicide post high school
As far as music you specifically would like, in light of my mistake, I'm willing to throw these out there:
>Stravinski the fire bird
>Laurie Anderson big science
and this one is kind of a long shot but I feel rotten about the misquote:
>R. Crumb & His Cheap Suit Serenaders
take it easy!
hey don't sweat it thanks for the recs! Have you tried My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts
No but you better believe I will
expand your taste senpai
drive like jehu - yank crime
