90s Chart Update

Here is the new, improved, beautiful 1990s Hip Hop chart. Now in chronological order so everyone can get the true 'evolving' hip hop experience when listening through.

Thoughts on the chart? Any suggestions/swapouts?

the chronic is the only good album on there lets be honest

very nice chart, would love this for other decades too

Thank you.
I have one for 00s and 10s as well. I'm re organizing the 00s as we speak.

If you want to see them in their current state let me know.

yes i'd love to ^__^

Here's the 2000s one currently.
I'm re organizing it now. Thoughts?

no nujabes?

Nobody suggested him when I made the charts the first time.

Most of the choices were from other Sup Forums users.

Fuck me forgot the 10s chart.

Substantial is on there and his album was produced by nujabes

>posting the bad version

It's the most recent version. What's wrong with it?

(aside from the YT)

>Injury reserve
>albums in wrong places
>albums that aren't even from that decade

Which albums aren't from the 10s?
I probably got the wrong album from the artist in there.

Also there was no 'wrong places'. They never had an order in the first place, I didn't start re organizing them till now.

wrong places as in wrong year

I would personally swap out Doing Thangs for It's Dark and Hell is Hot, Niggaz4Life/Apocalypse 91 for Death Certificate, 6 Feet Deep for Dare iz a Darkside.

Swap Graduation/Renaissance Child for The Cool.

>swap graduation Kanye West's Best album for some dumb album no one has heard

>Swap Graduation/Renaissance Child for The Cool.
That can be arranged.

Be more specific which ones, please. (It happened a few times with the 90s one too)

1991:

Ed OG and Da Bulldogs - No Life Of A Kid In The Ghetto
Del The Funky Homosapien - I Wish My Brother George Was Here

Oh hey I remember you.

I think I might be able to add one of those. What should I replace?

Nigger you best be baiting.

I'm making updates to the 2000s chart and am considering for 90s if he tells me what to replace.

Any swap outs wanted for 00s speak soon.

Not sure, maybe Naughty By Nature and Scarface.

Hard to choose as that was a classic year for Hip-Hop.

It's a damn tough call, that's for sure.

is 91' the best year? What's your favorite?

Probably 1988, the year Straight Outta Compton and Nation of Millions came out.

I say swap Already Platinum for Tha Carter II.

I can do that!

I didn't do the 80s chart, some other guy did. Props to him for doing it. He doesn't have to reorganize if he doesn't want, of course.

Replace 90059 with King Push – Darkest Before Dawn

96 is a tough year, I feel like Westside Connection's Bow Down should be on there.

Shit and Muddy Waters.

whoa there

We have a problem, boys.

Circled album is in the wrong year.

I need an album for 2003 asap.

if we're talking about updating charts, does anyone have any suggestions for this chart?

Nujabes - Metaphorical Music

Orko The Sycotik Alien - Atoms of Eden

Thank you!

was meant for but I got beat by 5 seconds

I'm thinking which one to include...

Wait, nevermind, sorry man. Can't include it.

It was released in 04.

Damn it what's the release date for this thing? It looks cool....

that album is in the correct position what are you retarded

it's 2003, you could just put this if you're really unsure

No. It isn't. It's in the 03 row. It's suppose to be in 02.

Learn to google.

I'm using Orko.

On both of these, I would replace Lil Boat with Blank Face Lp, swap out The Life of Pablo for And the Anonymous Nobody, take out 90059 for Every Hero Needs a Villain, Oxymoron for Prhyme, Yeezus for My Name Is My Name, Carter IV for Elmatic/Follow Me Home/Soundtrack to the Struggle.

Also on the top list Mr. Wonderful came out in 2015 not 2012.

I respectfully disagree with Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty in '98, but am unable to suggest a replacement. Also, for '97 could Camp Lo's Uptown Saturday Night be a single? Its certainly a great song, but the rest ot the album is average to crud.

My suggestions are in no way intended as disdain for your efforts.

>Mr. Wonderful came out in 2015 not 2012.
Fuck my life.

Thanks for the heads up, friend. Will be considering a few of the swaps when I get to the 10s.

Here's an update on the 00s.

Steal This Album > Genocide & Juice
Where's Kool Keith?
Where's Organized Konfusion?
The only Cypress Hill album that mattered was Black Sunday
Return of the Boom Bap > KRS-One
Too Much Nas

>My suggestions are in no way intended as disdain for your efforts.
No problem, bud. i don't take the criticsms that way. :)

The second you can find a replacement for Nasty I'll happily do so.

The 90s-10s charts are albums only, no singles. 80s only has singles due to the little hip hop releases at the time. Sorry.

I appreciate the criticisms but I can't exactly make any changes if you don't tell me what to replace.

I.E. "Replace X with Y" on the charts for each year.

It's Dark and Hell is Hot and Shut em' Down both came out in 98.

Swap I Am... for No Limit Top Dogg.

I'll put on Shut it Down.
I need a moment to update it if that's alright.

Bumping from new location.

Gonna post update for 90s chart soon.

Update.

Where's Player 1 and Bloody Bones?
Where's Main Source?
Where's Big Moe?

Main Source is in the 91 row.
Big Moe is on the 2000s chart.

How the hell did you not see it?

my bad, i thought moe was 90s and main source was 93

We got another album in the wrong spot.

Someone name a good 04 rap album.

Bump gosh darn it I need help with this.

Needs some DJ Krush, my man.

Ok. Where. And what do I replace?

A Grand Don't Come for Free.

>A Grand Don't Come for Free
Thank you. Will be added.

The 90's are pretty stacked desu so either:

youtube.com/watch?v=gIvDq6rtSeE
"Meiso" in '95 over On Top Of The World

OR

youtube.com/watch?v=HnkSP3tGFe4
Stepping Stones' trilogy in 2006 over Hip Hop is Dead.

Gives more variety to the chart IMO:

>Gives more variety to the chart IMO
Well that IS the goal of the charts.

I'll try to add it where I can. Still doing some organizing for 00s. When I get done with the next row I'll try to see where/if I can fit him.

I'm really liking the demo you sent (even though I'm only a minute in.)

So The Flies Don't Come is 2015, not 2016

That's fixed in the updated version. I also put the wrong Bronson album. So that'll be patched at some point.

>now in chronological order so everyone can get the true 'evolving' hip hop experience
>not a single turntablism album

Erm, why is Mecca and the Soul Brother on here under '04........

roll

It was suppose to be a Pete Rock solo album.
Clicked the wrong one on Topsters.

My fault. I'm posting another update soon.

Fuck it, Topsters crashed on me again so update's gonna be delayed.

It was suppose to be Soul Survivor II.
