Will he take Brady's job?
Will he take Brady's job?
If he keeps it up, maybe.
When you watch that game, he looks just like Brady, from the time of his release, to his throwing motions, to the way he commands the offense, it's like he's a Brady mini me, except he can actually run.
No disrespect to the GOAT, but he better watch out
If by "take Brady's job" you mean "sit on the bench when Brady comes back week 5". Then yes.
Right and he hasn't even peaked yet, he could be something special once he develops fully.
Brady is a system babby
the more you say it, the less it means
hes going to take jay cutler, blaine gabbert, or whoever replaces rg3's job
in exchange for multiple draft picks
They didn't take him in the second round so they could trade him for a first round pick 3 years later.
The Patriots now have an answer to the once daunting question "What the fuck do we do when Brady retires?"
There is ZERO chance they trade Jimmy for anything. If his first game is any indication, he's got the potential to be an elite franchise quarterback, or at least a very very good one, which is essentially priceless in the NFL.
So what if Jimmy doesn't want to stay? He's going to have to sit under Brady for s couple more years.
For you
Garop is only under contract for 1 more year, Brady could easily play longer than that.
If he doesn't sign an extension to sit on the bench than they'll definitely trade him
Ideally we trade him, he signs a 4 year deal with a qb needy team. Brady wins 2 more in his last years, rides off into the sunset, then we pick up jimmy in FA and win 3 Super Bowls with him
Cap this
Why would he want to leave? *Most* teams that are successful have already secured at least decent quarterbacks, if Jimmy G left for the purpose of wanting to play immediately, he'd likely go to a team like the
>Browns
>Rams
>Broncos
And pretty much any other shit franchise you can think of. Maybe the Broncos aren't shit, but they have no cap space so if he had the intention of going franchise for a team Denver would likely not be able to work. That'd leave him to a bad team, which I don't think anyone wants to play for no matter how much money gets thrown at them.
This will all come down to Belichick and when he retires. If Brady starts to regress while Bill is still the coach, he'll get traded. No telling how or when Brady will regress though, he is 39 and still playing like he is young.
He'd leave for two big reason. A lot of money, and he gets to play every week.
You think he likes studying his ass off with Brady every week and then sitting on the bench being a glorified cheerleader? Having your own starting job is the dream of any self respecting QB.
He is pretty well liked in New England and Brady is 39 years old, I really think you're over stressing how much he is wanting to leave. Like I said, once Brady regresses Bill is going to pull him. This will be another Walsh/Montana tier controversy where fans will want Brady no matter how much he regresses until he wants to retire on his own will, and Bill will want the guy who can do the best job.
Ultimately Brady will be traded, Jimmy will come in, and then everything will work out fine.
He's learned the system already and has the best chance to win a Super Bowl with the patriots and make a name for himself. Otherwise he could be like a tony romo type guy with no rings.
except romo gets starting QB money
he wont stay to be a backup
the other user was right. every QB dreams of being a starter. rings be damned. they want to start AND win. if he isn't traded, he'll walk
Well if that's the case I hope he decides to come back once his contract expires and Brady retires. I dunno if that's wishful thinking though but I could see it happening
I fuckin' hope so
He's handsome enough to do it.
no but he will get the pats a few first rounders
I wouldn't mind it if they kept him, I don't really know if Brady can go for another 5 years
but I am pretty sure they will flip for premium draft picks
relax guys he only played one game. lets see him some more before we talk
Arizona was the toughest team he is going to play
Solid performance but he missed a few plays that Brady would have made so for now no.
i want to talk to you now
Retards in this thread saying they should trade Jimmy G need to fuck off.
I am SICK AND TIRED of people acting like Brady is immortal and ageless. HE'S NOT. We need to be thinking about the future - Period.
Isn't brady in his mid-late 30's anyways?
The guy is getting old, I think it would be smart to start getting the younger guys some reps
Fuck off with your "We". We are sitting back and speculating and we'll take whatever happens. WE are not on the pats. Eat a cum.
He's 38 lmao
