Satan music

they got sum nice songs

When I was literally 13, they were ok.

Some lively moments but not enough to sustain a career, luckily for them their fanbase are a cancerous bunch of fags with terrible taste.

Inspired a whole generation of pedestrian bullshit plebby bands who, it could be argued, killed rock music in the 00s.

This

That one animated music video was cool I guess.

Only if you're a daddy issues Goth girl with black nail polish.

Issues is their last good album, everything after is pretentious shit.

The band even admitted that Take a Look in the Mirror was total shit garbage.

Hence the saying that hard rock/metal groups are good for 3-4 albums on average before they turn into self-parody.

Their songs have a few good moments and I saw them live at a festival once and they were a lot better than I thought they would be.
What makes them a shitty band in my opinion is that they created the template for all shitty mainstream metal that's come out since.

Korn [Epic, 1995]

The album cover depicts a frightened little girl on a swingset cowering as the shadow of a menacing hook-handed rapist draws near. The band loves this image and flaunts it in all of their trade ads as Sony flogs their death-industrial into its second year. They also sing about child abuse--guess what? They're agin it. But if their name isn't short for kiddy porn, then the band should insist on a music video where they all get eaten by giant chickens. C+

Life Is Peachy [Epic, 1996] *bomb*

Follow The Leader [Epic, 1998]

Korn denies they're metal--that's Judas Priest, all four-four pomp and solos. But they nevertheless demonstrate that the essence of metal, an expressive mode it seems will be with us for as long as ordinary whiteboys pity themselves, fear girls, and are permitted to rage against a world they'll never beat--is self-obliterating volume and self-aggrandizing display. Calling up death metal's signature groan to prove he's authentic, poor not actually abused Jonathan Davis clicks, clacks, squawks, and groans his way through strange licks, eerie bridges, and a hyperactive rhythm section. How much his fans identify with lyrics such as "I'll kiss your lifeless skin" and "You trick-ass slut" is unclear. But I'm parent enough to hope they find a more fully-formed designate than someone whose idea of social commentary is netcasting softcore S&M to any teenager with a logon. C

Issues [Epic, 1999] *bomb*

Fans love that album though because it's heavy as fuck. It have become impossible for them to make such an album today, last one is nowhere near.

Did he refer to Korn as death metal?

their first four albums were fun af aside from a few songs like all in the family. Wish they stuck to the faith no more/mrbungle/primus/rhcp influenced sound a little more instead of letting the industry turn them into ontrickpony edgecore. I heard that head rejoined the band but im still not that inclined to listen to them, too scared honestly. funky korn was the best though

I used to be a huge fan but now that I actually listen to the lyrics it is very cringy. Korn was a bit more grounded than Limp Bizkit or even Linkin Park. With a good lyricists without a rape fetish Korn would probably have been pretty memorable and still worth a listen. Ultimately, if I feel like listening to Korn I queue up some Deftones instead.

Here to stay is their best song and no one can prove me wrong

It sucks David was pretty much out of the writing process starting with Issues.

Pic related is the only good album

that's not falling away from me

> Blind

> Shoots and Ladders

They were awesome when I was in 8th grade. The bagpipes in shoots and ladders were so cool to me then.

Jonathan Davis can make some neat sounds with his face.

They have alright songs but that's about it.

KoRn albums usually have two to three amazing tracks (if you're a fan of that kind of music) and a shitload of filler trash in between. Issues is the best example. Their lyrics have always sucked.

...

Hate the name, its fucking disgusting, every time I hear "Korn" I think of a corn on the cob like at KFC, and sweatcorn is pretty shitty. I'll never listen to them because they remind me of shit, and they probably are shit.

amazing how this guy is consinstenly wrong

I can agree with this. I was a huge fan when I was in middle school but nowadays I can only appreciate a handful from the first few albums. Follow the Leader still has some jamz
