When somebody says that Wilco is "country"

>when somebody says that Wilco is "country"

home movies best show

Aren't they?

>indie folk

YHF sounds nothing like country. It's boring dadrock ""indie"" crap.

YHF is a modern classic quit posin

Whatever man.
It's not country. Wilco is NOT country.

>dadrock

>dadrock

Were you born in 2004 by chance?

No, but my dad does love shit like Wilco and Yo La Tengo along with his usual Bruce Springstein and The Grateful Dead and Poo2

Well duh. No one would even say that if Jeff Tweedy hadn't gotten his start with Uncle Tupelo. But YHF is good shit regardless of genre

Listen to their pre-Yankee Hotel Foxtrot albums you morons.

Summerteeth isn't country

They aren't country. They're experimental rock. Barely any country influence at all.

>music with a banjo = country music

Some parts of their first few were a little folksier but it was still pretty much alt-rock/indie

Wilco has never been country in the slightest. Not alternative country or country rock or anything. Maybe a little bit of folk rock. Even the pre-Wilco band was really just folk with some country leanings.

why don't you guys want to accept the fact that they're kinda country. you probably haven't even listened to AM

Because they're not. Country is fucking garbage.

Was coach mcguirk for halloween. Felt so right

>the pre-Wilco band
Do you mean Uncle Tupelo

I would say only in their earliest releases were they country. At this point though, they merely have country cross over appeal. Like, people (at least slightly musically aware people) who enjoy country and folksier music will probably enjoy wilco.

If that's your stance on the entire genre why would you expect anyone to give a shit what you have to say on the topic?

yeah that one
they're not really worth bringing up tbqh

lmao did this guy triggered you enough to make this thread, OP?
