meant recent or old stuff

just listened to this, it was ok, like a 5/10

my chemical romance & fallout boy aren't even good in the first place off yourself

honestly (praying i don't get banned for saying this) if you're looking for emo recs, /r/emo is the better place. some folks on Sup Forums are hip to emo, but not enough to get many responses or good recs. just be prepared, a lot of those twinkledaddies there can be hella pretentious, but there are also a lot of decent people who genuinely want to help you out.

but that release is shit

Dude TMP fuckin rawk

Emo/punk bands I enjoy (songs I recommend)

Marietta (yeah yeah utah, are you afraid of god)
Remo Drive (yer killin me, crash test rating)
Retirement party (hall beach)
Tiny moving parts (fair trade, birdhouse)
Modern baseball (thrash particle, alpha kappa fall of troy)
PUP (DVP, guilt trip)
The Dirty Nil (no weaknesses, friends in the sky)
Joyce manor (Christmas cards, constant headache)
Tigers Jaw (I saw water)
Jank (J A N K)
Jeff Rosenstock (nausea, pash rash)

hope you enjoy

Oh yeah and American football of course.

Guilt trip by PUP is p fantastic desu, seconding that rec

most any johnny foreigner album. brits advancing midwest emo years before it was cool to just rehash it

*(not the very first one that doesn't really count)

joyce manor's s/t is vastly superior to never hungover again imo.

jeff rosenstock's latest album, worry, is seriously fucking fantastic. would've been my aoty last year were it not for danny brown releasing his magnum opus

I remember listening to Modern Baseball a long time ago, and I hated them. Recently I saw them live with the Front Bottoms and Brand New and thought they were pretty good. Is their new album much better or something?

Joyce Manor
Title Fight (pre-hyperview, unless you like cheap shoegaze ripoffs)
Brand New, especially Deja Entendu and Your Favorite Weapon for punkiness
Balance and Composure
Hostage Calm
Their / They're / There
teen suicide, if you like lofi
Tigers Jaw
Superheaven
Foxing
Algernon Cadwallader
Snowing
Empire! Empire!
American Football
Owen
Prawn
Dads

If you like screamo:
Merchant Ships
William Bonney
Code Orange [kids]

forgot to add Pet Symmetry. This is a great 2-song power pop ep. Very catchy and energetic.

and as a bonus, PWR BTTM, two gay dudes who can really rock

underrated

Pleasant living is way better i m o

Saves the Day up to Stay What You Are, after that they kind of fell off.

youtu.be/ESKw-veN7zc brings me back to 9th grade.

>Good emo albums that aren't Fall out boy or Mcr

M8

That album is aight, thought it was kind of pop-punky but it got better with time, here's a nice little collage

I fucking hate how annoying whiny pop-punk and annoying whiny indie rock is infiltrating emo, emo is about raw inarticulate passion

cmon, I spent a lot of time on that

Saetia were the whiniest band in human history.

The Brave Little Abacus
(a major stand out emo band with super dense and interesting instrumentation)

jr adelberg
(really great current band that is influenced by BLA, they're coming out with a new album soon I've seen them twice live recently and the new stuff is incredible)
