>the higher you get it just starts to sound out of tune Spotted the noob. Set up your guitar correctly.

Strat is the most versatile imo.
Jonathan Gutierrez
Has anyone used these? Are they any good?
Lucas Lewis
a sponge? yeah use them on my dishes, pretty good
Caleb Jones
Those fingernails are disgusting. What he's explaining is basically that tempered tuning is a meme, so basically the third of the G major scale and the second of the A major scale aren't the exact same notes. This has nothing to do with "the higher you get" but rather with you playing in a particular key. Essentially, your frets would have to have the correct alignment, and you would only be allowed to play on one string at a time depending on the key you're in (so if you're in A, you can only play on that string). If you play on the D string but your scale is in E, the notes will be that liiiittle bit off. This differs from wrong intonation however, in that the offset produced by wrong intonation will increase the higher up the fretboard you go, but the offset (measured in cents) introduced by the fact that E != E will be the same in the 2nd and 14th fret.
Jace Perry
just get one of these for two bucks and throw it in your case.
Angel Ross
Should I get a guitar ith p90s?
Jordan Jackson
anyone ever try one of these? I'm about to buy one for some experimental shit
I got one right as they came out. They sound and play great. Play one at your guitar store. My only problem with it is that there is no tremelo
Henry Murphy
Like my new telly?
Ian King
I would get an Epiphone Casino or Gibson Les Paul Special.
Andrew Brooks
I have a strat and a jazzmaster so the tremelo isn't a big deal for me. just want something higher output to push my princeton.
Carson Morgan
That looks pretty retarded. The change in timbre isn't that great and it looks much less versatile than using your fingers or a pick. Looks like it was made for newbies.
Adrian Gonzalez
It would be real easy to route a cavity in those for a strat trem.
It braces the neck because it's a poorly made, spiky sack of ugly shit
Logan Hill
is this the hidden character colour that just replaces the texture with wood
Samuel Scott
I loved the minibuckers, they were a good middle ground between singlecoils and humbuckers Generally I prefer a single coil sound, so for me the wooly overwound PRS humbuckers were the worst of the bunch
Aaron Murphy
yea
Jaxson Lewis
Does a Mex count?
Jackson Reed
Its a new product coming out from Kemper, it profiles the vibrations of the string and the tone woods.
Jaxon Martin
Turn off bass completely, middle pointing to west and treble pointing to east. Natural overdrive.
Cooper Richardson
so guys, when you're playing guitar and are in a band setting (i.e. have a drummer, bass player, keys, and singer), are you actively keeping time in your head? Because I've found that when I'm playing with others I just feel the beat and can anticipate the changes coming along so therefore I don't count. Is it a bad habit?
Zachary Ramirez
I simply must have one
Isaac Russell
how do i change scales when improvising..
how do i move around the neck?
like.. what's the theory about moving from one scale to another? is it just the chord progression? so if the chord progression was G -> A -> C i could do a C G or A scale improv? all i do is fuck around in one scale and it gets boring fast
Sebastian Ramirez
...
Noah Cook
why is that pup so sad?
Elijah Diaz
of course it doesn't you parasitic pleb

Isaiah Gonzalez
I don't like to think about it
Anthony Myers
i wish i was famous enough to put cute anime stickers on my guitar and not look like a faggot
Dylan Morris
Try to play fewer notes, but make the ones you do play count. As in, try to find simple, short licks of like 3 notes that will fit the chord change, then string them together into a melody. Start simple, add complexity as you go along. Some notes that are technically out of key might sound good in context. Being able to come up with melodies that incorporate those makes a good musician.
Cameron James
Bully me, I can take it. Mustang.
Juan Scott
instead of moving around the neck, try practicing arpeggios and scales in one position. come up with your own exercises for that, like run up an Amajor scale and then once you get to the last note that you can reach in that position, run down a B major scale or something.
it's not easy getting used to switching around like this, but you'll get there eventually. just start small and focus on chord tones
Tyler Ramirez
real musicians have the ez fret, why are you even "playing" without it?
anyone got ideas for fixing this? I still have the piece that snapped off
it's semi hollow so no access to the electronics through the back and the gap is too small for me to replace the entire pot
it's still functional but obviously the knob won't stay on like this
Sebastian Price
how the fuck did that happen?
do you still have the broken piece? maybe try super gluing it back on?
Brandon Rivera
IF IT AINT BROKEN DONT FUCKIN FIX IT
Aiden Martinez
>Buy a US strat.
Sorry, but the japs are way ahead of you in terms of quality
Logan Butler
thanks man, bit closer i need to fiddle about with my amps and pedals more often
Sebastian Cook
First (whole) song you learned. Go!
>Dammit by Blink-182
Zachary Collins
yeah I've got the broken piece. I'm not sure supergluing will hold it up but I'll try. guess I could also try soldering it but that could make things worse very easily
the knob would fall off all the time, at least now I know why it was so loose
Jack Lee
What kind of chinese piece of shit did you buy?
Tyler Martin
You can't get that sound with your finger tips dude...It's essentially like using mallets on a hammered dulcimer or something like that.
It's just another tool, like an ebow or a capo..It's not like you have to alter the guitar permanently
Lincoln Reed
soldering will probably make too much of a mess
Ian Allen
fucking ibanez
Henry Lopez
A capo doesn't change the way you play guitar and the ebow thing is just fucking stupid Why even consider playing the guitar if you're not going to actually play it, but smack some stupid shit on it instead
Easton Scott
Second hand American Stratrocaster made in 76, candy apple red, a few bumps, nicks and scratches for £749
Should I do it?

>buying a 40 year old guitar

managed to sort it out with super glue and a bit of card between the prongs
Jackson Parker
yeah good deal if it's legit.
Logan Young
Mexi Strat, Dimarzio Air Classic in the bridge, guitar was made in 2001 or 2002. 400 euros, but I can probably knock like twenty euros off the price. Cop or not?
Michael Bailey
you can do both though? pop it on when you want to make the sound the thing makes, take it off when you're done
Austin Powell
We warned you about them user
Gabriel Anderson
might as well buy a new one for 100 euros more
Bentley Kelly
New Mexistrats cost like 700-800 euros here.
Brandon Gutierrez
it's not a meme metal guitar though :(
but it's otherwise a decent cheapo guitar, I guess there could have been worse places to cut corners
Connor Edwards
>decent >parts are disintegrating >actually accepting this type of manufacturing quality
How do I get the tone of the bass in this song? I know it's an upright bass, but is it possible to get that with an electric bass?
John Bennett
I second this notion
Joshua Cruz
Changing your strings to flatwounds is the closest you're going to get without defretting your bass
Luke Parker
My band is covering Feel by Ty Segall as our encore and I've got the first solo, it's all improvised because it's an easy 3 chord jam to use as a filler. the couple times we've played it I've just been stuck soloing between the keys of B and D or on the 7th through 12th fret for you new friends. Is there any sort of techniques I can do that can help me transition to other keys? At home I have the backing track looped (bass and guitar) but whenever I switch keys they sound forced, out of place and inorganic.
Your improvisation skill is useless if you cant make a good riff
Jayden Collins

Sebastian Perry
I use the normal red XLs desu senpaitachi
Luis Bennett
Guys, recommend me the best solid state amp for a versatile musician. Multi-channel, Fx loop, reverb(optional). I am looking for an amp that can play the cleanest rock, but that has enough gain to play some ball busting metal. Budget under $1000.
Dylan Sullivan

why the fuck would anyone spend $1000 on a solid state amp?
