science has never actually seen this deep. MAYBE mapped it our with radar. Even then, at that depth and distance, it probably isnt reliable data. And since "Only about 5% of the world's seafloor has been mapped in some detail." there is no telling what is under the water. No one realizes it, but the ocean is as mysterious as space.

Yeah that is true, I'm sure any deep ocean inter dimensional being we would find wouldn't actually be Cthulhu, but it would be named so pretty quickly. Unless it keeps to the mythos, then we wouldn't have time naming it, we'd be too busy getting eaten.

Yeah, this is a load of shit. The deepest part of the ocean is the Challenger Deep, which has been explored by manned craft several times. You can even see actual footage of it. I can only assume that you didn't even bother to google this.

The scariest part is the bit with big predators. The deepest parts are boring as fuck because almost nothing lives there. It's literally just the accumulated diarrhea of every organism in the ocean, plus a few extremophile worms and shrimp and things.
