Ask a girl in tech anything

Ask a girl in tech anything.

Picture marginally related.

What do you do in tech?

What makes you interesting?

You know the rules.

Videa games? Yey or neigh?

What's your stance on the old adage "tits or gtfo"?

>forever a virgin

Web backend coding, with a keen interest in data science and big data analytics.

The few women I've worked with in tech so far were either ditzy or just plain incompetent and unwilling to better themselves, meaning I had to cover their work as well as mine.

Please tell me you're different.

How many characters or words per minute?
What's your git scorecard look like?

What do you think of feel when browsing Sup Forums and seeing all those women degrading or exposing threads?

tell me moar. I work in HR and my boss's been breathing down my neck when it comes down to hiring, she wants more females because of #inclusivity.

Anything against that is apparently a blatant attack on women.

You must be the most boring person on this planet...

Oh my god she's really in tech because she knows what's shes talking about.

Now show us your tits or get the fuck out OP.

I really don't mind having women around on the team, we've got some great accountants and project managers who are totally worth their salt. But in tech (especially the tech consulting business), no luck so far.

I'm willing to believe that there may be some hardcore programmer chicks, but I expect them to be like all those lesbians who really don't hold up to the glitter lesbian stereotype perpetuated by porn these days... they hardly even qualify as female anymore.

What kind of ditzy behaviours should I keep an eye out for when it comes to hiring?
>inb4 not your personal consultant

OP either left already or she's the slowest typer there ever was.

or she just chose not to answer the usual dickish questions.

We're in the same field. Good place to start a chat if you want 121.

its Sup Forums, what do you expect? Some of us can take a joke.

I'm lucky that for my kind of tech consulting niche, we can just harass potential employees with a looooong technical questionaire. Any woman getting through that without talking herself into the embarassement corner of incompetence can expect to be hired, since she won't be facing much harder things from our customers anyhow.

For any other tech business, I honestly don't know. I rarely can tell from a simple interview alone if someone's got what it takes... the ditziness diagnoses usually presents itself rather quickly after having to work with them for a while though.

Then why Sup Forums in the first place?

cry me a river. no one's spared of harassment here, male or female.

for teh lulz

This conversation is so interesting and i care so much about what you're saying but where are those titties at?

alright, thanks a lot user! I don't suppose in your industry you need to meet a certain 'diversity quota' per se?

MODS --->>

Nah, we're a comparatively small company with large consulting profit margins. Our structure isn't too riddled with processes and bureaucracy yet, so we can simply decide what and who is best for us and go with that. No need to justify every decision for a worker's council or anything like that.

Interesting indeed! But to see the breasts of the OP of this thread would be great.

Do you know any cool languages like Ada95?

roll

>tfw no tits
>tfw not proceeding to gtfo
I didn't know it was Summer already

I think she left a while ago, so the gtfo part may be there.
