They only made two albums. Apparently they're not officially broken up yet.

Also, Some Nights is the best mainstream pop song of the 2010s.

I'd argue to say that aim and ignite is better, I've been listening to all the songs on there for hours now and I can't find one song that isn't good

Literally, they stopped making music.

>argue

it's not an argument at all. aim and ignite is objectively better in every single metric.

some nights sounds like processed deli meats taste. I hate it and I hate how they made it. the only two redeemable songs on the entire album that are even similar to the band who made aim and ignite are all alone and stars

the rest of the album was crafted to just play on the radio and mtv pop to get money

I agree with you but you still sound like an asshole

>people are unironically answering OP's question

nothing ever went right

fun isn't allowed in mainstream pop anymore
only dreary shit and whatever Bruno Mars is doing

The best song on that album was a bonus track.

Also this was the last song they wrote before they ended the project, Nate released in his solo project

youtube.com/watch?v=eMRRdk8xHr4

The song Nate did with Emile (The king of modern baroque pop) is amazing

The project is that they don't view fun as their main thing. They were like "We're all musicians and we get together to collaborate as Fun." but that's bullshit becuase they were The Format years prior, and if it was wasn't for Fun. none of them would have solo careers.

I remeber when fun. was being presented as some indie band and people on mu actually kind of liked them, it was stuff like this.

But then they sort of sold out and went ultra mainstream, and i guess they are one his wonderS?

I dont know, i turned on the radio once, and i was like wow, when did queen get rid of bryan may

I wasn't exactly saying Some Nights is a better album, just that the title track is the best hit song of the decade so far. Aim and Ignite is infinitely better, but I still have a soft spot for Some Nights.

lena dunham

Fun are great, but I'd argue that The Format were better than Fun

They decided to be musicians

one of them dates lena "the queen of lard" dunham so theres that

(the one with the glasses)

>people are actually trying to having a discussion
>this is a bad thing

the obvious answer is that they were complicit in Fueled By Ramen changing their sound, hiring hip-hop producers, etc.

99.9% of bands that sign to that label immediately sound different.

it is because this band sucks massive pitos

Aim & Ignite was Sup Forums's favorite pop album until Some Nights came out

They had 3 or 4 massive hits off of Some Nights, but yeah they were definitely a one album wonder at least

terrible band with some of the worst "top hits" of all time. During 2012 I was working at a place where I couldn't turn off the radio (other people wanted it on) and I'm still traumatized.

>he doesn't roast soft meats in the oven and slurp them out of Lena Dunha's crevass every night
Pathetic

But remember

Grimes says selling out doesn't exist and the concept itself is merely a tool of the patriarchy.

they thought it would be a good idea to copy Kanye

Grimes is the least self-aware human being ever if she said that.

yeah but that doesn't mean people shouldn't discuss why they suck
