IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY
Helpless Child by Swans
This is literally the only post in the whole thread that actually understands what "a band's Creep" means
I understood it as a band's most known song is their worst song.
i think it would be moreso a technical one hit wonder
a band with a ton of critical acclaim and fan recognition, but only one hit in the mainstream scope
more like the band's best known song is hated by the band and they regret making it. creep is by no means radiohead's worst song
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
Plant hates that song and refuses to sing it
Beastie Boys - (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right to Party
Was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek but it was taken at face value
Elephant by Tame Impala
Tubthumping-chumbawamba
Dead Man's Party- Oingo Boingo
Smoke on the water- Deep Purple
Where the wild roses grow/stagger lee- Nick Cave (debatable but i feel lik ethese always outshadow his better songs by normies)
...
Black Hole Sun
Float On
Yellow - Coldplay
Parachutes had so many gems in it like Shiver and Sparks and the normalfags went crazy over one of the most boring songs.

Porcupine Tree - Trains
I meant it more in the sense that Townshend despises the song because it's way too simple and poppy of a composition and that he didn't expect it to be their break-out hit.
Inverse would be I Can See for Miles, which is excellent but didn't sell as much as Townshend expected, to his chagrin.

The Beatles - Yesterday
ring-a-ding, baby
That's because MGMT and their label have spent years trying to convince music fans that their big singles were their "Creep", and that their later albums were their Kid A/Amnesiac. They're not,
