wasn't Fant4stic tracking similarly last year?
they are overly optimistic that it will make this much.
realistic prediction would be in $30M.
>One of summer's most anticipated
who, just who anticipates this movie? No one of my leftist friends wants to see it, none of my right wing friends wants to see it, fuck I know a few feminists who doesnt want to see it.
Are they just lying at this point?
Maybe it would be tracking higher if they didn't spit bile at the "nerds" who are the ones who spread word of mouth and go out in droves to see shit like this at every possible turn.
More like in denial.
I anticipate shitposting about this film
If this flops, sexism wins.
that's a good thing.
If this film succeeds: Drumming up artificial controversy and using pandering as shield for creative bankruptcy will become common place and the jews will win.
It being a failure will be a
40m tops.
it'd be a good family flic, i guess
The best thing is it wont fail because its a shitty movie, itll fail because of the crusade against it.
No, the best thing is that if it fails, it will be entirely because of how Feig, the cast and Sony have been acting. Poetic justice.
No, youre wrong. The movie did everything perfectly. Its the misogynistic Internet hate crew that sabotaged the movie.
Fembusters will probably choke and make 50 million domestically.
Don't believe me, check my 5.
I am anticipating this movie. I don't buy the anti-hype. Ghostbusters is awesome.
Pretty hilarious that they have no statistics of pre-sale tickets like every other blockbuster that comes out.
Wonder why.
Post your predictions. I'll start.
>People will walk out of the movie during the dance number
Will we stream this once a decent cam comes out?
Good news, you got dubs! Bad news, no 5. Guess your post is as meaningless as your!
>$0.08 has been deposited into your account
>Bad news, no 5
I stole them from him.
WE WON GUYS XDD
Still no 5 Mr. Trips
actually Sup Forumseddit did
real Sup Forums posters are very excited to see this flick
wew
Patrician Sup Forums posters only care for the original.
>Its the misogynistic Internet hate crew that promoted the movie.
fixed that for you. I mean, it's not like anyone would care if it wern't for this bullshit 'controversy'
Patrician Sup Forums knows the original are pleb trash for low cineIQ children of imdb.
>t. Bill "there's-no-gun-to-my-head-making-me-say-this" Murray
guys we got a nerd here
HOW DARE YOU
Get out.
HEY MYSOGYNIST SEXIST PIG MEN!!!
Why won't you give us your money to come see our movie?
This isn't Ghostbusters faggot
That's pretty much the jist of the Ghostbusters advertising campaign...
Triggered feminist man haters begging men to come see their movie. lol
Why is it all videogame playing cancer against this movie?
At this point, it's just a bunch of feminists triggering each other now.
None of my friends even talk about his movie much less care to go see it.
I don't think there is much interest from men or women.
Non stop feminist cryng & whining has turned off 90% of the general audience to this movie.
I'm kind of with this guy. I don't expect it to be as good as the originals or good at all, but I expect it will entertain me due to a number of factors. I'm not one of those guys that gives a shit about 'fun' too. The movie just doesn't seem that terrible aside from the giant ape.
In Bruges is a "fun" movie
This movie couldn't even be saved with the rose tinted glasses of a double perc bong rip.
Thats if it does well.
"We won! We used their hate as free primotion and came out on top!"
>In Bruges is a "fun" movie
Sure if you're a mouth breathing pleb
c-can't wait to watch it with my Sup Forums bros.
Yep, F4 projections were around $46 million, it made $25M instead.
>Sony's Ghostbusters popped up on tracking Thursday, with early estimates suggesting a North American debut in the $40 million to $50 million range over the July 15-17 weekend. The studio, which has yet to wage its biggest and final marketing push, is no doubt hoping for the higher end, considering the movie cost a hefty $154 million to make.
its already a flop
The budget isn't even taking into account the marketing it's been needing. It's gonna cost the studio's waaaay more than that.
Then you have a shitty sense of humor if you think anything they've shown is humorous at all.
did they spend more money trying to push this than anyone did trying to push hillary?
Sony, when a product is failing so bad you dont double down in the spending. Thats gambling logic
What, you think it's le deep? It's a fun little dark comedy.
Cg isn't "fun" and if you think it is you're a fucking mongoloid.
same but a shitty cam rip will do
I think they are being overly optimistic.
The ship has sailed on remakes, and this is garbage even by shitty remake standards.
The movie will have no family audience. It opens between Secret Life of Pets and Ice Age 5. Finding Dory will still be going strong.
Normie adults have no interest in this, it doesn't look like a major must-see blockbuster like Star Wars or Marvel.
Melissa McCarthy's audience feels alienated by this. The core Ghostbusters audience feels alienated by this.
This movie is for
N O B O D Y

im anticipating it failing and endigs some of the most awful producers careers
>you're a fucking mongoloid.
>>>>>>In Bruges is a "fun" movie
Fucking mouth breathing pleb
Let's recast Ghostbusters 2016 with men
>Charlie Day (nerd)
>Dave Chapelle (black)
>Tom Segura (Murray replacement)
>David Koeckner
Elaborate instead of just saying words.
If you're smart enough to.
You arent

Women will save it
Who cares how many basement dwelling manchildren complain
Hey hitler
ice age 5 alone will wreck this movie to pieces. There is something hillarious about that
didn't they say last week that they expect a 150+ million opening?
Saying shit like most anticipated or number 1 movie of the summer is an old marketing scheme people want to be a part of something if they think everyone else is doing it
Probably 30 mil. Hopefully lower.
I'm guessing feminists will make up for the "sexist manchildren" by buying two tickets for their singles night. Which is sad because they could save that money for food or rent or something important.
And I'm sure there will be some ironic hipster morons wanting to see this movie for irony purposes.
>"It looks so bad. "
>"Let's go see it and help get it a just as awful sequel"
Even if all the original characters were still alive and in the movie it wouldn't be good. 35% of why it's so popular is nostalgia and gilded memories.
>Venkman like character played by Sam Rockwell
>Nerd character played by Michael Cera
>Rough around the edges character played by Danny McBride
>Black nerd played by JB Smoove
I still think it's a good kids movie.
its like a kid who expects a new computer for christmas before his mom takes him shopping foir new clothes user. 50 millions is probably what they need to justify the sequel
Bill Murray is unreplaceable
So is Tom Segura.
But that's not only a kids movie, it's got a young enough crowd that saw the first that make it feel like a nostalgic retread. And it's a date movie. And it's something you can see with your folks.
It meets a lot of demographics.
>cineIQ
everytime I come to Sup Forums there's a new term I've never heard of before.
He's djing now. and he just came out as omni-bi
$150 million in production. How much for marketing? I'm guessing a good $100 mill. Maybe a tad more.
Movie needs to hit $250 million to break even.
If it fails that, there will be no sequel.
Let's see if foreign totals can give it that.
Murray?
Actually would watch as fuck
...
The studios only get about 25% of foreign gross. And only about 60% of domestic. They have no shot, unless the toys become super popular. Are they doing toys even?
I'm really happy that mindless sequels reboots and remakes are underperforming this summer.
They are. They were clever in that you have to collect all of them to complete the evil giant ghost monster.
Too bad they look like shit
wish I could stab Molly
>seeing or not seeing a movie is now purely politics
I wonder if people like you unironically think this. I mean seriously, how out of touch can you get with the world?
>that moment when your baby man is like
this not ghostbusters, title says ghostbusters but title lie. Baby man work hard, baby man want fun and exciting movie experience
>but you have an exepnsive jo-jour, blogging degree and you just know better
I wouldn't even see this movie high if my gf promised me a blowjob during and afterwards.
thats because you dont have a gf user
>cam rip will do
That's the only acceptable quality to watch this movie.
Stop posting your shitty videos here.
no.
Why not recast it with women who are actually well-known outside of a dying sketch comedy program?
Well known AND funny. Yeah, that's it. Maybe we could cast a unicorn or two as well.
>Alludes instead of eludes
Moron.
It still blows my mind that someone was paid to write this.
literally whos
How the fuck did this movie cost $150 million to make? Sure as hell can't tell from the trailers.
50 million was used for catering for Melissa McCarthy and 25 million was used to make Leslie Jones behave like a human being or least try their hardest.
The jews pocketed 40mil, leaving 10 to make the actual movie
Yeah, because everybody wants to explain to their kids that the Ghostbuster lady was talking about all the same cracks you're supposed to make sure are clean in the bathtub.
That won't feel awkward at all.
>family flick
kek my goodnessmy god
im trying to think if i'd find that funny if i were a woman but its just so obvious and flagrant. not that thats not been done in comedy before. could it be that women are just behind in comedy?
WTF, that the ghost from the ghostbusters logo.
but it also alludes to the stay puft man in the first ghostbusters! do you see that? do you remember the stay puft man and how bizarre and funny that was?
Any idea when is the embargo being lifted?
