Amazing chart, lad. Once Upon A Time In America is my favourite film.

What do you think about Once Upon A Time In America?

It's gorgeous, incredible in every sense. The acting is on point, the visuals are beautiful, as is the music. Every single scene is so powerful and the story is moving in a way few films can make it. Leone's truly a genius and this is his masterpiece. It also made me fall in love with Elizabeth McGovern.

I'm on the fence really about it. Either it's an extensive recollection of a sick and twisted, rather pathetic mind or Leone is tone nead, some sort of criminal apologist. All the lushy cinematography, all the 'good times' memorizing it all comes off very weird, skewed and wrong to me. It really reads out like a pathetic mental gymnastics of a criminal to excuse himself of the fact/responsibility that he caused the death of his mates

I just don't quite know what to make of it. I don't like Leone anyway, nor Kurosawa for that matter so shoot me.

i get it, feeling a film is really important

I really don't see that. For all I know, Noodles tried to get Max and his friends out of robbing the bank, and calling the police wasn't an attempt to kill them, but to stop them. When he found out they were killed, he was devastated, and was obligated to move away to escape the consequences.

I'm thinking of replacing Casino, I have a short list...at the top are Alien and Blade Runner.

ew

theres also, fear and loathing, brazil, the science of sleep, the last samurai

Is that Brick in the top left? That was shot in the town i live in.

It is, just saw it this year. thats awesome, supposedly thats where the director grew up, nice place?

Amadeus is great, I really really need to watch Ivan's Childhood
I enjoyed Interstellar, it's probably the only Nolan film I feel above "indifferent" about

who does not enjoy nolan's thesis of how great power love is

it really is tho, a small miracle on itself when this film was made by a same person that made Inception, TDK and TDKR.

...

edgy

I know but I can't help one of my favorite movies is A Serbian Film.

Julien donkey non is nowhere to be found

;__;

Which pic is yours btw?

Did you intentionally make the chart so that the character sslowly turn and in the end watch towards the viewer

ur a fucking psychotic faggot

meanie :(

9/9 just for that rare Mishima

why didn't you save her user

Honestly, I don't even mind the fifth dimension ending. I do, however, stop watching once Coop exits the black hole. What comes after doesn't make sense tonally, and is really unnecessary optimism, for lack of a better word.
Woah, near chart

stop

This part here?

This is one of the best conclusions - summa summarum finishers to a film I've seen. It's a subtle and neat 4th wall break that serves a purpose while also portraying Nolan's understanding of love as a force something great, strong and hopeful. There's also the narrative of MAKE HUMANITY GREAT AGAIN, rage against the dying light that's just so fucking I don't even, positive?

it's just fantastic to see something so optimistic and non-jaded film in mainstream cinema

I really should rewatch it again to combine my thoughts, now it just overwhelms me (seen it thrice I believe)

>Also this is a practical effect.
>Effectively showcasing Nolan's love towards film making when is willing to go to autistic lengths for desired outcome.

Also I'm sure I will bust a nut thinking about space time, the start-journey-and end of the film and it's message. There's something neat there that I am not quite grasping yet.

My 9 favorite films.

Recent favorites.

ok stop being a faggot i'm not erp'ing with you

4/9, i really really do not like wong kar-wai fans

i wasn't rp, legit sad about her death

dumb Sup Forumsmu/ crossposting

dumb newfaggot mods

what's wrong with Sup Forums

Average Sup Forumstant is more knowledgeable within his medium in comparison to fa/tv/irgin who just knows Nolan and GOT

He is insecure about his lack of knowledge when he can't ID screenshots in these threads

People generally dont like it when you point out their inferiority.

I enjoy it. Disney actually has a good cast full of established actors. One of my favorite parts is the radio broadcast after the pirates ransack the cruise. There's little nuances that the dub incorporates that make it worthwhile.
