Ex machina

Thoughts?

The cliche of having the villain explain his every move at the end felt really patronizing, that and turning the end into a thriller left it with a bad taste in my mouth. But it was made by the guy that wrote 28 Days Later so what can you expect

Dancing scene was totally superfluous, too brief to be noteworthy outside of the initial surprise and has no significance to the plot and themes.

so much potential.

fucking won awards too.

lol what?!

It was pasable until the shitty predictable twist.

If anybody has the impulse to make a "the robot is a manipulative sociopath all along" movie they should get their funding pulled.

I'm still waiting for a movie that depicts AI as so unlike humans that it's motives are so alien and unknowable that it's frightening.

Disappointed.
Caleb is a fucking idiot.

Thought it was fantastic but ending felt rushed. Can't wait for Garland's next project.

I saw the Movie Alien, so this part was predictable. at least in the 3rd act.

except alien is just a predator which is again just a reflection of ourselves.

Also turing test is done with 3 people blind.

It's been clearly documented for decades how to deal with this situation.

Smart enough to make real humans,
dumb enough to just drink beers and fuck them...

...

no the android in alien.

OH aliens you mean.

no Alien when the android kills humans.

thanks for the correction. I need to rewatch it. I completely forgot that there was an android in that movie.

It's the protgen for the modern slasher.

I think you're thinking about Predator.

I was expecting a deconstruction of the human mind what we are, and how we think and the consideration of creativity as it ties to identity.

i got a shitty romance with some sjw message.

Its not the worst thing in the world, but I really don't understand why some people rank it so highly. The movie also thinks its ways smarter than it actually is.

>never trust a woman and if said woman is a robot, then she is literally only good for sex slavery
>also never trust betas either

That is the message I got out of it, and it seems like a pretty good message to me. Actually, it seems anti-sjw.

Why cant I make my roboboipucci a sex slave?

nice buzzwords sempai

hey thanks, but it's honestly the truth. they just kinda make the guy be a dick because he's a guy, and the girl a victim because she's a victim i mean women.

The girl wasn't a victim, the "girl" was an uncaring robot who left the actual victim to die of starvation.

How the fuck did you come out of that movie thinking the robot was portrayed as the victim?

>being so absorbed in internet and 4chins that you see everything as sjw or anti sjw
damn glad i'm not there yet

Not a fan. IMO Oscar Issac's character was weakly written and also miscast.

What also hurt my enjoyment of the movie was that I hated the main character. I realize that was the point, and to that end he was well cast and written, but ick.

>deconstruction

Fuck you. I'm glad you didn't get what you wanted, because you're an idiot.

Androidino

>tfw no billionaire bro to make me a robo waifu based on porn desires

If he could create AI to the submissive level as the asian one, why did he fuck it up and try to achieve true sentience with last one. Dude had it made and fucked it all up.
