Yeah but I still like it personally. The ending or season 2 was great so it redeemed the not so good episodes imho

Windham Earl was a great idea on paper but the execution was incredibly flawed, right? I think if Lynch was directing the episodes he was featured in he would've been as terrifying as BOB but instead he just came off as really silly in a Saturday morning cartoon villain way.

I think the reputation is worse than it actually is. It does lose its footing for a couple of episodes but towards the end of the season they start to get it back.

David Lynch didn't even want Laura's murderer to be revealed or caught over the course of the series. ABC execs pretty much forced Lynch to solve the murder because ratings were starting to drop.
Hopefully the new season will fix a lot of the problems from the second half of season 2.

The show could have been a masterpiece from front to back if Lynch had had full control and involvement. Still one of the best and most important shows ever.

I've always wanted to see where he would've gone with Mulholland Drive if it had been picked up.
I'll always be slightly disappointed in the end result because of this, cute-ass lesbian scenes and all.

Frankly I don't think it'll be too out there all the time. Mark Frost is with him every step of the way, and you've got characters played by Jim Belushi and Michael Cera. It'll still mix the surreal with the comfy. That I'm sure of.

I know that this is the internet and you can only perceive this as a lie but I'll tell it anyway. my wife is a vet has a number of vet school friends in seattle. One of them treated Sheryl lee's dog a few weeks ago since she's talked about being in town to film the new twin peaks which is exciting.

My wife's stupid friend hasn't seen the series and didn't get any good information. She wouldn't even know that she's an actress if Sheryl didn't bring it up.

I'm actually with you there to an extent. I feel it'll go completely nuts late in the season, near the end. I'm expecting 3 or 4 episodes being incredibly dark and bizarre. Like the convenience store apartment scene that Phillip Jeffries saw, but on a much larger scale.

My nigguh. Catherine was great especially when it came to her relationship with Pete.

It gets a bit worse but it still isn't that bad (besides James and Super Nadine) and it gets really good in the Las 4 or 5 episodes. I enjoyed almost every Twin Peaks episode probably because I loved almost every character and the atmosphere is amazing.

Everything after Leland dies is pretty much filler but it gets good again once they show the cave and shit IMO

If anything Twin Peaks is very good at handling sexes and could be argued as a perfect marriage of Patrician and Tumblrian tastes. The show even unironically had a trans woman in the early 90s.

Because it's basically a good version of campy and bad soap opera like the Young and the restless or the bold and the beautiful.

Not really true. Sure I found the first 5 episodes after the reveal to be boring but then it picked itself up and came entertaining such as I loved all of Leo's bits and Cooper investigating with the help of his tranny friend that was fun.
