I listened to this album for about 2 minutes the other day and then I stopped listening to it because it feels like the same kind of thing I've listened to before from other artists.

Isn't that a great thing? Means it is exactly what you usually listen to...

Yeah and Hadyn was shit because his music sounds like Bach. If it's a style you like, it doesn't matter who makes it, I don't get why I'm not allowed to like King Gizzard if the only good reason is "it's just garage psych lmao". Would they be more acceptable if they were a harsh noise + disco band?

And rock is stagnant because the genre is pretty exhausted at this point. All the people who actually give a shit about pushing the genre forward at this point are either moving on to greener pastures or finding out that the makeup and timbre of a rock setup doesn't really lend itself to finding new sounds now. What's there left to do? Play with effects? Cross with another genre? I enjoy this kind of music, but it hasn't been on the cutting edge of experimentation since like the 90's dude.

I've listened to the entirety of this album twice and it hasn't grabbed me at all. I don't get what I'm missing. I love psychedelic rock and garage rock, but every song on this sounds boring and exactly the same to me.
