Any soberfags out there? what was withdrawal like for you?

any soberfags out there? what was withdrawal like for you?

not a drinkfag, but i understand the pain of endorphin withdrawal, which is what alcoholism is based on. you are undertaking a huge task, and i wish there was a way we could demonstrate our support. you shouldn't have to do this alone.

Rough for the first few weeks. Just gotta grit your teeth and push through. Try and find physical activity to do.

Was sober for 49 days, bought a pint of vodka and chugged it last week then yesterday I bought a stack and did the same...

Sobirety has been a bitch but still without alcohol I'd say I am less depressed so it's kinda worth it

What exactly are alcohol withdrawals like? I drink to get drunk every now and then, but also enjoy the average 2-3 drinks quite often. I don't feel any different than normal when not drinking, and there is quite the history of alcoholism on both sides of my family. Though, when I drink to get drunk, I drink A LOT.

>24 yr old here

The first 2 days really suck but after that it's not bad at all. Just take two days off, lay around in bed, get some snacks, maybe down a beer or two before bed. I was sweating in my sleep and kept waking up but it felt so incredibly restful surprisingly. You just gotta get that first sober sleep out of the way basically, after that it's way easier.

drinking fag here
exeteme anxiety
literally cant answer questions in class
get chocked up
im 22
what is this
kill my self
2 bottles of wine and 200ml of gin down
cant wait till i drink so much one night i die
i am so pathetic
someone help me live or die

Not so bad for me, but I used Xanax. That and other benzos have a similar mechanism of action on the nervous system to alcohol and therefore can cut the worst out of the withdrawal symptoms. Be careful if you try this, though, because of course they're also addictive drugs themselves. Godspeed, user. You can do this.

just stop now then
i was like you when i was in my teens
now im fucked
just chill brah
alcohol sucks

It will continue going downhill from there.

drugs are for bitches
grow up a be a man
fight it
go to the gym

Thats fine as long as i die
closing in on 375ml
also got half a bottle of wine left after

You probably won't die, but you'll continue wishing you would.

You're 22, what the fuck do you have to drink about?

>fight it all day
>go to gym
>pretend to be alpha
why do i still feel like drinking till i stop breathing

you're not lifting hard enough
use more weight
do more reps

alcohol is a depressant, dipshit

kek
ill get there eventually
maybe not tonight
but one night ill buy the two bottles of liqueur it might take and down every pill in my apartment.
shits gonna be lit
i should live stream that shit

>this solves what exactly?

get bigger
get better
get confident
get good pussy

That's a really dumb way to off yourself. It's almost guaranteed to fail with your tolerance and you'll wake up in a hell worse than what you feel right now.

ikr
its not even viable shit
its all petty bullshit that i cant get over
i lift to extenuation
i lift hungover or whatever state im in
it wont save me
I am growing tho
looks sexy tbh
but i still want to die
wew lad

You don't need a reason to drink, you can just drink to drink.

you are probably right famalam
how much u reckon tho
dont people do it with just a bottle of pills
if i had both we'd be set

>be me
>be thin

>DRINK

well you just tried to prove yourself to me lol

I have a good life
Wife is supportive
Career is stable
Used to not drink at all
Starter to get a bottle of whiskey every once in a while
Now I need a drink every night
Same amount has less and less effect
Don't want to be an alcoholic but need to medicate the physical pain away
Tf do I do?

shit dog
you got a family?
id get professional help

Professional help over a glass of whiskey a day) is it that bad?
I am drunk now

This is how it begins. I don't think you necessarily need professional help yet but you've started down the path. I would unironically urge you to quit drinking.

>get help?
Entirely your discretion. If you think you're doing fine, things under control, then probably not.
I will say to be very careful. Alcoholism often starts with a beer or glass of liquor or wine each night or so. Then it's more more more. Overnight? nah. Habits take a while to evolve. Just be careful and don't lie to yourself.
