you don't get scared easily and handle gory stuff well

you feel a lot of regret about past mistakes and are trying to improve

you feel trapped by current life circumstances and aren't sure what the solution is

you've recently started working on something big/started studying something and you think it's going well

You just wanna be happy

Captain Beefheart
Dead Kennedys
The Prodigy
The Velvet Underground

Try Slint and Built to Spill if you haven't already

You smoke cigarettes outside of shows and make fun of the vape bros. A fun night for you is getting shitfaced and jamming with friends. I'm guessing you play guitar, may or may not be in a local band

Reccomend every beatles album if you haven't already heard them. Check out the mono mixes of their albums and compare to the stereo mix, especially revolver and srgt peppers. George Harrison had the best solo stuff of all of them. I didn't think so at first but All Things Must Pass grew on me. Which Beatles albums songs are your favorite? Maybe I can recommend other bands based on that..

thanks, i will

You're an angry person who starts bar fights and lights GI Joe toys on fire. You once punched a guy in the face for saying Cradle of Filth was true black metal.

Based on the Squarepusher mention I highly recommend Hive, pic related

chick corea

Revolver and Abbey Road are my favorites, but I enjoy everything post-Rubber Soul. Everything before Rubber Soul is pretty boring though. My favorite post-Beatles work is John Lennon/Plasic Ono Band and Band on the Run, All Things Must Pass is pleasant listening but I only find it okay

Thanks. Chick Corea and Miles Davis are great. I'll look into Freddie Hubbard

Based on GY!BE try mt. Zion, they share band members

I felt the same way when first getting into the Beatles. As a musician though their early stuff is a goldmine for studying chord substitutions and progression ideas.

If Revolver and Abbey Road are your favorites... I could recommend Janis Joplin's 'I got dem ol kozmic blues again mama'. Great album along with her album 'Cheap Thrills'. Stevie Ray Vaughn did a pretty good cover of Taxman from Revolver, so that may be a good start with him. Also Tame Impala 'Innerspeaker' gives me a Revolver kind of vibe

I'm assuming you've already listened to Neutral Milk Hotel but I figured I'd suggest it just in case

Thank you, friend!

I have, great album

I also assume you're into the rolling stones, don't want to leave it out just in case though. Can't forget the animals either, they did more than just house of the rising sun as great as that song is

Let's not forget The Byrds too user

Never really got into The Byrds (maybe an album reccommend could change my mind), but Roger McGuinn had some great solo stuff. Awesome cover of its alright ma I'm only bleeding

Hey I myself was only suggesting off reputation and a great cover of "Seasons in the Sun"
