the pilot

>it's an audrey nearly gets raped by his father episode

Just downloaded season1 and 2 actually, I cant start it because I think it'll get boring.

When does the series git gud.

>his

pilot

First, last, Bang Bang Bar/Maddy's death, and Leland's death.

stfu im a foreigner whose mother language doesn't have gender based possessive pronouns.

when you kill yourself pleb

Was that scene about Laura's friends bursting into tears because Twin Peaks was just a great little town or was it implied emphatic connection?

00:00:00

I think Donna had a pretty good idea how much shit Laura had gotten herself in and knew she was dead without being told.

mine neither senpai, that's not a valid excuse

Watched the entire first season. I'm not sure it ever got good. I did kind of enjoy the pilot.

It's always good. People who say it's not misunderstand the series - it's not about the murder mystery. It's a good catalyst for events, but it's about the town itself and its people

it's a valid excuse because i did it because of that retard. i know how to use possessive pronounce, it just gets in the wrong way sometimes.

You people are kidding right when you call this show boring?

Holy shit Season 2 had a few bad episodes but majority were great; I loved every bit to do with Leo, the Cooper investigation with his tranny friend was different but fun, the Miss Twin Peaks was fun, Civil War Ben was annoying though, I didn't mind the Nadine stuff although we hardly saw much of that.

I liked Josie.

I agree, but I can see how the amount of zany stuff in S2 turns people off it. Especially Ben's Civil War adventures and Nadine's high school drama. James' storyline is complete shit too. I like the entire series but you can feel how lost they are after Laura's killer is revealed until Earle shows up.

This.

Twin Peaks is a show with heaps of multiple genres of filmmaking smashed together.

You can't call it just a crime thriller mystery series because it's not.

Do you also not translate words from your mother language to English?

May the Giant Be with You

>confusing his and her
I have no idea how a foreigner can do this

no, i think in english.

my language uses pronounces with the following word, in that case: father.

What's everyones thoughts on the prequel film?

I saw it first time the other day and didn't mind it. I loved the end scene; all the Leland scenes were great, the Chris Isaak segment wasn't that interesting but was great to see what Cooper was doing before he came to Twin Peaks. Was fun seeing Bowie have a guest appearance.

Loved that alternative dark music in that red roomed nightclub.

Then how come you can't differentiate his and her, fammm

because famalam

I'd have been fine with cutting out everything before we meet Laura. It's like the film starts over the second the Twin Peaks theme plays and we see her riding her bike, and I wish they'd just started there.

What's a "pronounce" though?

He meant pronouns

One of my fav episodes is when Cooper has to go into the One Eyed Jack's and rescue Audrey

>Secret Agent Kino

I never said it was boring. I didn't think it was anything great either.

The one where James leaves town to live with the rich people, then sleeps with the rich guy's wife and comes back to town.

The finale.

>and I wish they'd just started there.
nah I disagree. As soon as it showed the Twin Peaks sign and the main theme kicked in, I felt a weird sense of happiness to again see the town and remember all my experiences with the show.

It was a good choice by Lynch to have an entirely different segment at the beginning of the film, keeping the audience intrigued to when we will see Laura and when we do it really pays off instead of just beginning the film right with her.

>not liking based Chet & Sam

>Lynch comes back for one episode and makes the most batshit insane hour of TV ever
>He's directing the whole of S3

So fucking hype.

Does the Missing Pieces deleted scenes make the film any better or different?

They needed more character development. We didn't get much time to get to know them.

I am sure if Lynch made another prequel film with these characters playing major parts; then I would have liked them a lot more.

masterpiece, Lynch's best after Lost Highway and Mulholland Dr

One of my faves in the episode where Bobby Briggs and his dad were having an emotional conversation in the diner.

Bobby was a 10/10 douchenozzle but he became my favorite character after watching that episode.

Was that from S2?

I can't wait, t b h

Fuck James though. I have no idea how they thought brooding james subplot was supposed to be engaging.

I like the theory that it's coops autistic/goofy and professional/badass sides separated into 2 different characters.

...

nice tits

>When does the series git gud.
Immediately. If you don't enjoy the pilot then the show probably isn't for you. If you aren't enjoying it by the end of episode 3 then it definitely isn't.

the film

>Fuck James though.
No offence but I find James to be the most bland character in the series.

Why is this?

For 1991 - that is some impressive visual effects the way they were able to make the face move like that

Because he's a soap opera parody

The Finale > Season 2 Opening = Lonely Souls > Zen or the Skill to Catch a Killer > The Pilot

This. If you're not absolutely hooked by the end of the third episode(counting the pilot as episode one), just drop it. It doesn't get any "better".

Yeah, but it aged like goatmilk.

The last

>the show isn't about its catalyst

I bet you felt smart while you wrote that

>Yeah, but it aged like goatmilk.

You're telling me you don't watch Twin Peaks on a 28" tube telly for maximum comfyness?

I watch it on a considerably smaller laptop

I always kind of liked Ben's Civil War stuff. Nadine's high school hijinks were as bad as James' story though, I fucking hated her.

It was fun seeing Ben sing

Also seeing Leland sing was gold

What did he mean by this?

Lynch has some words for you. Kind of.
youtube.com/watch?v=wKiIroiCvZ0

It was initially, but when their hand was forced to reveal the killer, there was a shift. The new season won't deal much with those at all.

CALM THE FUCK DOWN LELAND!
youtube.com/watch?v=d3sjAq021I8

Well, to be fair, that's quite incomparable.
Also, I'm poor.

>ywn hug Laura and tell her that everything will be alright
;_;

youtube.com/watch?v=WzY89785sNg

She'd probably stab you and steal your money.

>when their hand was forced to reveal the killer, there was a shift.
Yes, the shift was that Lynch(and Frost) literally left the production for a while, leaving it in the hands of incompetent imitators. You can see how important it was to the show, in Lynch's mind, in the finale, when he brings all of it back to light and downplays, or outright ignores, everything that had come in-between.
And I haven't even mentioned FWWM yet, from which many plot-lines and characters are returning to the revival.
Clearly, Lynch disagrees with you about what's essential to the show, as do I.

>You will never be stabbed by qt crazy red room Laura
why live?

Better than Sinatra

pure kino

youtube.com/watch?v=ohV3_9mgNGY

Hell yes!

>I'm gonna take Wasington and hang every nigger I find on my way there!
What did he mean by this?

Don't worry he wasn't himself.
youtube.com/watch?v=h5k2m9EOJVw

>"Come and join me. We have to stop these niggas from invading our pure land".
Jesus what were these writers thinking when Lynch left the show?

Entire first season is thoroughly enjoyable but if I had to pick an episode it'd be the pilot.

What do you think of the international pilot?

It's gonna be great.
