ITT

This one (About Time) basically almost took me out of suicide

Not a movie but True Detective season 1. Only movie/tv for me that captured the "Man is the most dangerous animal" feeling

Same, but with Pacific Rim. After watching it I started enjoying life more and watching films more

Yeah, it was nice to see something show the pessimism of "doesn't matter what you do, bad shit will persist", while still having the optimism of "do your best, even if you have fucked up"

Patrician Test:

Did you like True Detective S2?

The whole point of about time was to make you look at life differently
It doesn't really count if that was the whole purpose of the movie
It's more effective if it comes from a movie that doesn't have it's entire plot revolving around how you look at life

It was better on the second viewing. 8/10

woman detected

We're all traveling through time, user, together, everyday of our lives.

hey, richard curtis makes great stuff

watching a romantic comedy doesn't make you a woman

That is the correct answer.

They picked the right guy to play the mayors son, 11-dimensional chess, huh?

>woman
>movie about Father-Son Relationship

Okay then.

Also About Time really wasn't the romantic comedy I thought it would be, it was a lot deeper.

It's a romance movie, that isn't even about romance.

...

Yea it's more about time ;) and all of life's relationships

>almost took me out of suicide

So, you did it after all?

This

Typical romantic movies have the whole

>Cheese guy and girl fall in love with each other
>Their relationship is dragged on throughout the whole movie, with a falling in love - start of relationship - breakup/falling apart - makeup/coming back together - end movie with them getting married/living happily ever after

Whereas this one had only the first quarter of the movie about them falling in love, them getting married halfway through the movie, time skips to them having kids, then the second half of the movie is all about fixing his sister's life, and the father-son relationship, and father's advice to his son about how to be happy in life (had nothing to do with love)

...

Didn't anyone else think him and his sister were a little TOO close?

Are Euros really like this?

If time-travel fucks up the sperm and shit like that, why did his dad taking him running across the beach 10 years back?

Why does McAdams keep dating time travelers?

Started lifting straight after I saw this film at age 13.

One of the best decisions of my life.

...

All of the characters.

12 Years a Slave made me realize that white people are awful human beings and should feel guilty for the crimes against the homo-superior negro race.

kek

Hm, interesting.

Hot Chick
Made me realize
1. Lesbianism is hot
2. Anna Faris is hot

it's About Time Sup Forums core?

So are you fucking ugly ginger wimp and you needed to see a movie about a fucking ugly ginger wimp getting a woman by cheating with time travel, manipulating and lying to her because he would never ever be able to get any girl otherwise?

How exactly did it help you with suicidal thoughts?

I know how you feel. it happened to me too.
I was having an existential crisis. After i saw this movie i felt an amazing satisfaction.
I enjoy more life everyday and watching our species evolving.

Almost? So you did suicide?

Jokes and memes aside, this movie basically changed my life.

i'm with you

Why?

This movie legitimately made me change my career

No contest, makes you surprisingly humble.

How to not give any fucks - the movie

my nigga

>even if you know the tiger wasn't real just pretend it was real
lol, epic deep philsophy

Catch 22

I feel sad for you.

Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London

Pretty fucking cliché and pleb but I can't deny the impact this film has had on my life

This was such a meek movie, the conflict was almost non-existant and the characters were perfect goody-two shoes. I kinda felt offended by it

I downloaded this movie because the time travel component intrigued me. I wasn't ready for the scene where he has one last day to spend with his dad before he can never see him again and spends it with him on the beach in his childhood. I guess that was also the last time he would be able to experience his childhood ever again, if I remember right. That cut deep, this movie had tremendous feels hidden in it.

C-L-A-S-S-I-C.

>That cut deep, this movie had tremendous feels hidden in it.

>can travel in time
>can go back to see his dead father, pretty much nullyfying his death
>has hot and literally perfect personality-wise wife
>could only go back in time to past to experience his childhood one last time after certain point
>could fuck the hot chick with no problems and go back in time to not fuck her or something

>boo, my feels, such tragic movie

There was more conflict in Dora the Explorer than this

Went for a mortgage. Took them 3 months to finally conclude.
Everything was fine, every paper was legit, I have the money.
But they fucked in every step of the process.

Jesus, I'm not a leftist hippie, but it's true. Bankers don't manipulate anything real, money is an illusion we give it importance but's it's not.

Pls no bully

...

Damn good movie

How good is it?

The Coens' most human movie.

>Hot Chick

If you're still here user:

I had tickets to go see this at a movie festival with a girl, I just chose the movie with the most OK looking trailer from garbage looking film-festival film trailers.

Got stood up, never went to see it and never got the girl.

What did I miss?

AKA whiny hipster garbage

>This movie legitimately made me change my career

If you're still here senpai

What did you mean exactly by this?

Dude, what? Llewyn did anything but sit around and feel bad for himself.

I don't know why I quoted Hot Chick I'm high af right now.

Here, no memes. For the better.

Made me realize how objectively better practical effects are.

Hey you guys pls respond I'm getting tired and will go to sleep soon ty
