millennials: the twilight zone

The Self-Improvement of Salvadore Ross

to serve man could also be a critique of millenials.
people believe the aliens will give them free shit without a catch

Walking Distance

"The Midnight Sun"

Not particularly for the plot, but because of the sweaty barefoot QT protagonist running around in her underwear.

Obsolete Man

Monster of Maple St

Changing of the Guard always makes me cry. I watch it every Christmas.

Old lady with tiny earth/aliens.

"He's alive" (S4E4) where dennis hopper stars as a neo-nazi

To Serve Man is the true answer. My colleges Ethical Hacking class watches it every semester when talking about crypto. Just all around fantastic.

"Where Is Everybody?"

Hocus Pocus and Frisby for the comedy involved watching it with my uncle who is exactly like Frisby yet it all went right over his head.

the one where the martians are eating humans
the one where the guy is in a martian zoo
the one were the guy breaks his glasses
the one where they're on earth the entire time
the one where they're actually toys in a bin
the one with the martian who's from venus
the one where the guy cuts his vocal cords

Is it a Twilight Zone or an Outer Limits where the braggart is abducted by aliens who are killed by his harmonica and nobody believes him when he gets back?

...

Oh shit, I'm sorry.

The one where a helicopter decapitates 2 kids

This was Twilight Zone, although I don't remember what episode it was. The joke with that episode was that he always told tall tails that no one believed, but the aliens didn't understand the concept of lying so they abducted him because they thought he was the most important human who ever lived.

The Obsolete Man might be the most well written one. The one where the devil is captured at the monastery is a really good underrated one. I also really like whenever they do Adam-and-Eve style plots. When it comes to the Twilight Zone though you can basically pick one at random and it will be amazing.

>but the aliens didn't understand the concept of lying so they abducted him because they thought he was the most important human who ever lived.

I gotta watch everything from the start

At least, before season 5

A Game of Pool

it was twilight zone, specifically the episode mentijoned here

Not the best, but I like Number 12 Looks Just Like You.

Are there any currently airing shows like Twilight Zone? I know there's Black Mirror but it's so sporadic.

Nah.

This is the only correct answer.

It's a Good Life, followed by the Twilight zone episode It's Still a Good Life they did when the kid was grown up. They even had the old cast brought back. Wasn't as good but I loved it.

It's way too obvious. You can figure out the "twist" in the first few minutes.

It's still a classic. Kino Twilight Zone.

It's one that's now a cliche. Time Enough at last, Monsters are due on Maple Streets, 5 Characters in Search of an Exit, etc.

My favorite one that's not a cliche is the one that has the Devil trapped in the monastary and then he gets caught again but released. Much better cinematography than the average TWZ ep.

They're cliche because of how fucking good they are. No shame in that.

I've never watched or heard a single episode, but I've spent hours reading the plots of many episodes on Wikipedia and I absolutely love them.

Exactly. That's what I meant.

The Twilight Zone movie was fun

Favorite bit was the revamped "It's a Good Life" with Nancy Cartwright

>The Twilight Zone movie was fun

Not for vic morrow , RIP.

This scared the shit out of me.

youtube.com/watch?v=T5pQfOMkhmQ

>th-th-th, that's all

Five Characters in Search of an Exit

I think "And When the Sky Was Opened" is super underrated.

Something about the concept of being completely erased just scares the fucking shit out of me.

>Monsters are due on Maple Street
I'd say this

The one where Martians or venutians fuck with some guy giving him powers like super atrength

Yeah I dig that episode a lot too.

Classic episodes I also dig...

4 O'Clock, The Shelter, The Four of us are Dying Tonight, Where is Everybody?, Time Enough at Last, Monsters are Due on Maple Street, Next stop Willowby, I Shot an arrow into the Air.

We almost had another Tales from the Darkside, unfortunately nobody picked it up. Maybe for the best since acording to Joe Hill it would have had some continuity between episodes.

I can't remember the name but that one episode where the german u-boat captain is forced to relive the night where he fired on a civilian ship.

The ones not written by GRRM.

That one is crazy. I love the ominous transitions.

>not mentioning the Nightmare at 20,000 Feet remake directed by George Miller

An Occurrence at Owl Creek Ridge.

Yes it counts as an episode shut up.

Also, here's a making of thing with Miller interviewed.

Pretty much all of these.

Man I got pretty disheartened towards the middle of season 2 because the quality of each episode changes really drastically. Should i keep going? Almost every episode in season 1 was spectacular

The one aith the devil playing cards. Morgan freeman is it. Maximum comfy
