my favorite episodes of Trek tend to be the Ferengi episodes of DS9. my all time favorite ep is also DS9 titled "In The Pale Moonlight", it deals with Captain Siskos moral ambiguity and features Garak.

My favorite episodes of TNG are "Timescape" where the Enterprise and a Romulan warbird frozen in time. And :Genesis" where the Enterprise crew members de-evolve into prehistoric creatures.

"Commander, tell me about your sexual organs."

>Voyagerms

That translates to "Voyager Fans".

Every thread they show up spamming Janeway and Harry Kim and Tuvix and Seven and... and..

Ds9 plot in 15 seconds

This is the best episode of Star Trek and is the embodiment of ever ideal it stands for.

Okay, /trek/, you are appointed as an executive producer on Star Trek 2017.

How do (You) make it socially progressive but without alienating the coveted Sup Forums demographic?

For me, the answer is obviously .

Every aspect of a person's body is covered other than any part that could be sexualised.

Cause and Effect. Just really fun; I love the repetition but how every iteration is shot differently to keep things fresh, and I like the increasingly frequent deja vu the characters experience and how they solve the mystery. I also like how Beverly is in every scene as the POV character so it kind of makes it one of her episodes in a way.

Every part can be sexualised.

>>Every part can be sexualised.
I bet you'll love Trek2017 then.

It's tough, you have to be progressive to keep with the spirit of Trek while making sure you don't go SJW.

I can't wait for DS9 II: Electric Boogaloo.

>Fanbase Press: Do you feel like there is a previous iteration of Star Trek that really has been guiding for you?

>Bryan Fuller: I'm a big fan of Deep Space Nine. I loved all of the Star Trek series but Deep Space Nine was the series that I watched that made me want to write Star Trek. I love that it was a serialized story, I love that it was so specifically rich in character in a way that the other shows-- not that they weren't-- but they just didn't go there and continue to go there the way that Deep Space Nine did. Yeah, and there was drama organic to the story of the show. You have people coming in trying to help a broken government repair itself. And everybody was damaged. And I loved the character of Sisko, I loved the relationship between Sisko and Jake. So Deep Space Nine was probably-- Next Generation was amazing, and Deep Space Nine was the one that made me want to write Star Trek. Next Generation made me want to watch it, Deep Space Nine made me want to write it.

Doing the tranny thing with a Trill I think people could tolerate, but a human tranny would just be tumblr pandering, especially when it is canon that all mental illness is cured by that time.

Cue that faggot who cries that it isn't a mental illness.

The two best TNG episodes are Darmok and The Drumhead.

Why is Jake a rapist in the drawing?

I really hope that we get episodes that have no action like them, they are some of the best episodes purely because they are interesting ideas that are well written.

I suspect that the modern audience is too mush brained for that though.

art imitating life

do they expand upon the ferengi in ds9? so far in tng they've all been evil jew aliens. the only one that wasn't doing something evil was the ferengi ensign in that hologram thing that kid projected over riker

Yea, maybe. I think it depends on how Michael Bay Star Trek it is. Hopefully they go back to Star Trek's roots a bit more.

Given that its all supposed to be one continuous story though, I'm really not expecting much.

When do you think we will start getting information about the new Trek? I really want to know the premise and when it is being set.

Ferengi are much better in DS9.

One of them is even the best officer in all of Starfleet.

>it's a worf episode
>he kicks ass and doesn't job

>Darmok
>no action

But I get what you're saying. The Drumhead was really Measure of a Man, Pt. II in some ways.

>Guy being prosecuted for his race/what he was born as, not what he may or may not have done
>Sort of a stance on profiling and shit like Rodney King without banging the drum(head) to hard
>Epic Picard speech at the end

...

DS9 saves the Ferengi by massively expanding on them and having several great Ferengi characters.

They are still space jews though.

>get to Enterprise season 4
>they've time traveled into an alternate past where the Nazis are the bad guys

Fucking dropped. Alternate timelines are one thing, time travel is another, but if you combine the two there's no sense of tension at all.

>Given that its all supposed to be one continuous story though
Is that confirmed or still just rumour?

if it's true then you are probably right, they really need standalone episodes to do that sort of concept. Don't get me wrong, I love action, I'm not some sort of fedora enlightened by my own intelligence that is above explosions, but those sorts of episode are Star trek, they need at least a couple cerebral episodes in the mix.

Vut iz a matter? JEW don't like bloody eyed time-traveling NOTZSEES?!?!?!

I legitimately never understood those episodes. They always felt like filler, but who decides to make filler the season premier?

Do you think they will try and do a Nazi episode? Even ENT and VOY managed to shoehorn Nazis in.

Bryan Fuller understands that Voyager and Enterprise were mistakes, so don't count on it.

Captain Jean Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise
Captain Jean Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise

Bryan Fuller did an interview with Collider where he confirmed it. One story over 13 episodes.

I agree. At least for me, it was the cerebral episodes that ended up making a long term impact on me.

>it's a Bobby Bacala helps save Brooklyln episode
>it's an episode about Nazis that's literally called Storm Front.. episode

A reminder that Archer is the Sulibon future leader guy.

>One story over 13 episodes
The only thing I can think of that such a concept could work with is something like a war as in DS9, what other type of plot could possible warrant 13 episodes of dedication?

Maybe some sort of conspiracy I guess.

But it was voiced by a guy who was in the first softcore porn I ever saw on Showtime back in 1997 called "Alyson is Watching" which subsequently also featured a sexy chick named "Jennifer Hammon" who was in the Voyager episode "Author Author"

A matter of honor. Rikers banter with the klingons is great and I love how he becomes the captain in only a few hours.

>one of the Brooklyners comes up to the ship
>it's a worse version of Lily from First Contact

>one of the Brooklynites shares info with one of the aliens
>the Brooklynite doesn't actually have any info to share, so it's never explained why the alien meets with him

What were the writers thinking thinking?

God they truly did make that thing disgusting as fuck

If I wouldve seen that episode as a child it wouldve fucked me up like the first time I saw a facehugger in Aliens

It's going to be syndicated overseas, right?

Yes.

CBS is stupid, but they're not so stupid that they'd give up international distribution.

...

I forget, was he so dedicated to his exchange position that he was going to attack the Enterprise?

>Tell Archer that the ZIN-DEEE are working with a secret race
>the ZIN-DEEE

Also, the idea of bringing Shran on the ship would've taken away from the character's belovedness in my opinion.

Part of the fun was his reveal in episodes. Every time he showed up there was a freshness and excitement he brought because the character was both written excellently and acted by the legend himself, Jeff Combs

...

>COLLIDER: When are you going to start revealing the specifics of when the timeline is and that kind of stuff?

>BRYAN FULLER: I imagine around Comic-Con. It’s interesting because normally I love talking about everything, and I’m sort of relieved I’ve been muzzled by CBS on it because I do less interviews, so I can spend more time writing, but I love talking about Star Trek and I love being involved in it, so I’ll be very excited to share when the muzzle comes off of me.

I think "All Good a Things" is my favorite episode, though it's hard to say for sure, and I guess picking the last episode is kind of cheap.

The one where Picard sees 5 lights.

So anyone in the US can stream any english language broadcast?

Legally, if you pay for it.

Illegally, for free, if you know how.

would you wear this jacket in public?

i would

Minus the badge, yes.

I think I'd go out of my way to find reasons to wear it.

1. S5E25 - The Inner Light
2. S2E16 - Q Who?
3. S3E26 - The Best of Both Worlds: Part 1
4. S7E25 - All Good Things...
5. S7E12 - The Pegasus

I never realised this until now, but three of my top 5 TNG episodes are season finales.

...no?

I own it. So... yes.
No combadge.
Looks fine just with jeans and a black shirt. White shirt makes me look like an American flag.

This is the only correct answer.

Well, the 4th of July is coming up, so you had better share some pictures of you wearing it.

Oh, whoops. The list I'm looking at has Time's Arrow as one episode between season 5 and 6. Some idiot's put it together.

Average ratings by episode:
S3 - 7.35
S4 - 7.2
S6 - 7.08
S5 - 7
S7 - 6.88
S1 - 6.72
S2 - 6.64
Average rating across series: 6.98

Rated by who? Nerds (and not the good kind)?

>No Tapestry.

This is so true.

I've always said Season 3 of TNG is arguably the best Trek season of the entire franchise.

So what's your list then?

I really liked the one where the crew of the ship keeps disappearing, I think it's called "Remember Me"

I thought it was brilliant in how it handled the whole memory lapse issue and I liked the idea that people's entire memory could be expunged, I thought it was the scariest thing I ever saw in the show.

"Conundrum"

Such an cool concept.

Plus, TOP TIER RO

Yeah that's the one

fuck that was so much fun. I bet I could think up a lot more if I weren't as fucking drunk as I am but I loved that episode.

No, by me.

by IMDb voters it's:
IMDb
S6 - 7.71
S5 - 7.62
S3 - 7.56
S4 - 7.53
S7 - 7.2
S2 - 6.88
S1 - 6.79
Average rating across series: 7.33

That episode was extremely fun.

Worf asserting his Klingon dominance.

>I am ALSO decorated!

Every Klingon Episode is my favorite. Especially where Worf has to interact with other well-cultured alien individuals like Garak, Quark, Data, and Picard. Worf is a very good representative of his people just like those other characters are of theirs. Watching highly well-cultured people who are a credit to their own race was always fun.

Worf and Quark

Arguably the best interaction scene between two star trek characters outside of Kirk and Spock.

Picard and the Duras Sisters. Watching Picard keep his calm, integrity, and politness towards these too is amazing.

I looked it up because I was surprised that they didn't just copy paste scenes between iterations. Turns out they just had 4 cameras shooting at different angles

Tapestry is easily on my top 10, just didn't make my 5.

1. S5E25 - The Inner Light
2. S2E16 - Q Who?
3. S3E26 - The Best of Both Worlds: Part 1
4. S7E25 - All Good Things...
5. S7E12 - The Pegasus
6. S6E11 - Chain of Command: Part 2
7. S6E15 - Tapestry
8. S7E11 - Parallels
9. S2E09 - The Measure of a Man
10. S3E02 - The Ensigns of Command

James Horan was also in two episodes of TNG (the guy who wouldn't accept Data as captain IIRC) and voiced Skullface in MGSV

>James Horan was also in two episodes of TNG (the guy who wouldn't accept Data as captain IIRC)

No, that was the guy pictured, his name was Hobson.

James Horan played Dr. Jo-Brill and random tough looking tactical officer during second Borg two parter. HIs name was Barnaby in the episode

SHIT, this is HOBSON
Barnaby was the previous one

Yeah you're right, sorry. I wish I could say the faces are similar but your pictures prove otherwise

They are similar enough to be remember wrongly.
I always wished they brought back Hobson.
The guy was a good actor and his short yet quality sequence of scenes with Data made for the better part of that "Sela" two parter (which I didn't really like all that much).

Same. I usually lap up the cornier aspects of TNG, but for some reason I can't stand Sela's delivery and it ruins the scenes she's in. Maybe it's because the focus on political drama in her episodes doesn't mesh with that kind of goofiness

>tfw no qt evil blond space elf

>not comforting a post-rape gang Yar

You own the real costume or a replica?

I think the real costume sold for like 20$USD so I doubt he has anything worn by Sir Patrick Stewart.

20,000$USD is what i meant obviosuly

A replica.

anovos.com/products/star-trek-the-next-generation-captain-picard-jacket

I actually purchased mine from thinkgeek.com but it's not on there anymore - this seems to be their supplier.

What doe le cutest mean?

My favorite episode is "The Survivors"

There's no real "message" or "moral" in the story, it's just pure sci-fi mysticism and mystery, and that's that.

If you don't remember, it's the episode where they come across a planet previously filled with colonists, but they have all been wiped out... there are only two survivors, and Picard slowly pieces together the truth behind their survival.

Yeah, that's a great one. I distinctly remember the final scene where Kevin says something like "no.. no... you don't understand. When I say I killed all of them... I mean all of them. Everywhere."
The gravity of that just felt so awesome, in the truest sense of the word.

I'd argue there was something of a message towards the end, where the episode sort of challenges our views on morality and whether killing is always an evil thing. Picard says something about not knowing whether or not the man should be praised or condemned for his actions. It's certainly something worth thinking about, I thought.

Oh, and it's of course the episode where we got the amazing line of "Good tea... Nice house."

Ayy lmao.

Make it so
Make it so

aka Jean-Luc Riker

Yes, Kevin Uxbridge was one crazy old D(o)u(w)de

Triple dubs

Also pic related - Every size above medium is sold out

I'm stating for the record that I bought a medium, damn it.

200 bucks and I can't even see myself in it first..

Gonna' have to pass.

Nice dubs.

Although now I wonder if there were two jackets used in the show? The one in Darmok looks like it has leather on the top.

You are correct (I think).

It's like a shiny coating over a presumably fluffy material in Darmok.

But then there's also the microsuede version that looks even comfier.
