Pretty good return from them
are you saying to post hardcore or to discuss "post-hardcore"?
i want an answer to this too
When I think about post-hardcore, I'm imagining something like this
youtube.com
But when I talk to punk fans out there in the real world, most people imagine something like this
youtube.com
youtube.com
and they can't think of post-hardcore as not being a joke/bastardized pop offshoot of hardcore
Anybody else have this experience?
and on Sup Forums it's the opposite, i can't get any post-hardcore after 1995 discussed here
I WROTE A SONG
ABOUT GETTING BETTER
IT'S A FEELING
I DON'T REMEMBER
*BARK BARK*
Not OP, I guessing he means hardcore given the picture
happy hardcore?
Maybe the rest of world is right and your just a retard. Change your perspective
BACK IN THE UK
title track by capsule
you fucking faggot. i was friends with these guys and they sold out and put out a mediocre record. you dont belong here
how does steve albini get that guitar tone
The fakes they change and crash like waves
The worms come in droves but only when it rains.
what the fuck is this a post hardcore thread or a hardcore thread? shitty original post
anyways pic related has been in my backlog for like a year and I finally got around to it. this shit is truly great
nice I've never listened to this shit before, sounds like the At The Drive In albums I like
is this best Albini? Not a huge Big Black fan but I like Atomizer
why do people compare this to slint? because some of the members knew each other?
probably the quiet spoken vocals throughout both albums.
You guys excited for the new ATDI album?
yeah actually. any predictions about it?
Not really, both the singles sound pretty good though. Obviously it won't be as good as Relationship of Command, but if the rest of the album is as good as the singles are then I'll be satisfied.
Rapeman is dope too
god that band is so fucking bad
Yup
harmonic percolizer pedal and playing a guitar attached to his goddamn waist
>The Argument
>Leaves Turn Inside You
>playing a guitar attached to his goddamn waist
Does that actually affect the sound or are you meming?
maybe its just a diverse genre thats evolved and gotten broader over time, punk has always taken from pop influences since they ripped off 50s rock n roll, its not against the rules or anything. Post hardcore is actually meant to not sound exactly the same as every underground hardcore act from the eighties
cause 'bible' and 'for dinner' are similar in structure and instrumentation
...
Unironically good
Second best albini album (Goat is the goat) prove me wrong senpai
>That fuckin filthy guitar tone
>Real drumming
they were what nu metal was supposed to sound like, but it's still pretty reprehensible musically. lots of bloated machismo going on
>lots of bloated machismo going on
I'm not too well versed in their music but didn't they rail against that type of thing often?
fuck off zoe
Hardcore techno > hardcore breaks > hardcore guitar music
this
guitar with aluminium neck + harmonic percolator
aluminum guitars and harmonic percolator
...
I'll disagree and say that Songs Bout Fuckin deserves it's status as Albini's magnum opus.
they're both fairly quiet instrumental guitar tracks. the similarities end there though.
awesome album
