I unintentionally listened to Dopethrone at the height of my first trip and it changed my life. Would do again.
>checked
Dude I'll have to check it out, do you have a youtube link? Also Death Grips is pretty dope too.
...
Pink Floyd, the Doors, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Temples

Whole album is cash but the title track especially hit me pretty hard. The devil was in the backseat of my car and I was being catapulted through skyscraper-high valleys in the medieval era.
Confrimed for never having done acid
I'm listening to so much metal next time I trip. Recently no music brings me as much comfort as Death's first two.
I'm not talking visuals, just my internal vibe. Some friends were with me and as another walked down the street towards the car they started whispering in my ear, "uh oh, user, it's David", giving him a sinister air that I related to the devil. Granted this was 2 tabs and my first ever psychedelic experience, so some of these feelings I may have been subconsciously forcing on myself.
Any music you like can be good on acid. Just close your eyes and let the music and drugs do the work. Stuff that's not even trippy sounding can be great. My recent favorite has been anything by Mazzy Star.
Probably not actually. Probably not a good idea. I'll try if I'm in the mood.
I listened to Sing To God while peaking and it was pretty fun.
>King Crimson - Red
Great album. Especially Starless
This and a LOT of Aphex Twin are eligible to listen to while tripping over spring break.
Fuck off all collegetard pussy
Your kind isn't welcome
Why
Grow up a bit first before you can talk about drugs
You haven't done shit
Also quick question, how do LSA effects compare to LSD?
The ambient works albums are great tripping from Aphex Twin. His other albums are good sober but get too weird at times for tripping
Not even close. Don't bother with LSA unless you're curious and don't mind some bad side effects. Go with the real thing
I've done LSD 3 times. Last time I had a really bad trip on two tabs but it was in bad circumstances. I respect the drug if that's what you mean. I just have no idea where you are coming from.
I tried it once from the flower seeds. You need to use a lot of seeds depending on the flower and I used the one that requires more seeds. I barely felt it so as far as I could tell it was just minoly psychedelic. Probably pretty similar at a proper dose but like the other guy said not worth it unless you're in high school or something.
I have a bunch of feel good tracks picked out.
I only used LSA once via seeds. Horrible time, I puked and had a very mild trip. LSD on the other hand is amazing.
>no J Spaceman
shameful but still a breddy gud chart overall
>bad experience
There is no such thing as a bad trip. It's all about perspective. Sometimes "bad trips" are necessary.
I was needlessly beaten with a metal folding chair and that's only 1 small detail of the affair. It left an impact but I've grown from it. Feeling better now.
Another to listen to sitting shotgun with the best buds.
Literally my exact experience.
Holy shit dude. I want to hear this story
It feels like you are drowning in a pink hazy swirl if you turn the blacklight on.
>listens to music
>isn't in college
Best music experiences for me were
LSD:
Sung Tongs, The Avalanches (SILY), and MPP
Shrooms:
Pet Sounds, Feels
Mostly AnCo it seems
In short: 2 friends were sitting, I was tripping alone. One left to study my best friend at the time and I was left alone with chinese dude who had weird social upbringing. Chinese values in urban America, not really important but he is an angry violent asshole. Kept trying to trip me out I got confused couldn't think for myself. Felt strange power and freedom but was punished for it. He hit me with a chair when I was just saying weird shit and making a little mess. Went downhill. I was unaware of what was going on most of the time btw. They got me onto the basement steps and left me there while they figured out what to do with me. I was wanted to leave the basement. I needed help and they neglected me. He beat me again with a plastic coat hanger until it broke but at that point I was just furious so i smashed a lightbulb in my hand to show him that he doesn't have power over me. Felt better. From that point the trip was very uncomfortable and I was getting impatient but nothing fucked up happened after that point. Got home safe. I was really depressed and paranoid for a while, felt like I was on the verge of schizo. But I got better when I put the pieces together months later.
How do I get my gf into?
...
I listened to Tarkus and then Close to the Edge back to back...that was something alright..
>tfw you will never experience a higher level of consciousness because you're afraid of hallucinogens and you panicked on pot the moment your contrived sense of reality began to slip
imo metal is cheesy to hear when you trip its actually pretty funny
...
Was on shrooms but the idea still applies
Oh fuck off. The majority of when I tripped was when I was in highschool. Dumb ass superiority complex.
Atmo BM and Blackgaze are comfy as fuck if you go for a walk in a snowy forrest.
Wow. Get some better friends. No one should try to trip you out, never mind start hitting you with stuff or "figure out what to do with you." People who try to trip you out are beyond annoying when you're just trying to have a good time.
What a couple of assholes, holy fuck. This is why I trip strictly alone.
What's with this meme of "you HAVE to listen to blank while tripping" these days? In my experience you just listen to what you already like, but you will really like it under the influence. Example, hippie dorks where I live eat up Zappa, and I know he's supposed to be cool within the stoner folk community. But, I popped on a record during my last trip and it fucking sucked. Maybe I have my bases covered already being into 70s hard rock stuff, but even metal, riffy shit, and rap stuff I already listen to regularly sound great on acid.
this and my crippling social ineptitude, i only ever get high when i'm with people who are already smoking and they offer me, or when i'm in amsterdam
it's annoying because everywhere stinks of weed constantly but i just can't bring myself to walk up to a stranger and ask for drugs. i wish it would get legalised already for losers like me
couldn't mess with hallucinogens either even if i wasn't so sheltered because i'm 100% sure my shitty mental state would fuck me up.
Exactly this. People get so caught up in what they're supposed to do instead of figuring out what they want to do. Tripping is a personal thing since everyone experiences it differently. Metal may be great to one person while modal jazz is great to another, why would they listen to Pink Floyd or something while tripping just because they're "supposed to" but would never listen to it sober?
>these days
It's not just these days sadly. I remember when I first got into acid 20 years ago there was no shortage of annoying girls doing acid once and suddenly becoming full on stereotypical hippies no matter what their background
this
I've been bingeing all the death Grips records recently would be giving gov plates or nldw a spin for a first time trip a good idea?
I tripped listening to this and it was probably one of the best trips i've had, aint it funny made me feel like i wanted to punch a hole in the wall
the best + on the corner
Nice to see Edan on here.
I'm quite a spiritual person and I love a lot of the stuff on here.
But the fact that there are No Sufjan, Joanna, Bjork, Kamasi Washington and Radiohead really hits me in the wrong place considering you're chart is otherwise really strong.
Have you not recognized these groups as deeply spiritual and significant to the past couple generations?
Albums like Vespertine, Carrie & Lowell, Ys, Divers, Illinois, Kid A and In Rainbows are literally "The greatest and most significant" albums of our time. And as a spiritual person I see so much importance to those albums energy-wise when I listen to it, especially on a psychedelic
i can't say i've ever listened to nldw during a trip, but i imagine it would be a fucking crazy experience.
Whatever you like, but I would go with a warmer album.
