What are the south american thoughts on the refugee/muslim hordes in Europe?

What are the south american thoughts on the refugee/muslim hordes in Europe?

Do your media write about it? If so what are they saying?

Are there even muslims in south america?

The media here doesn't really have that much of an opinion. They only report "millions keep fleeing out of the middle east, seeking shelter in Europe".

And no, there are not many muslims here.

there are a few.
There is a relatively important number of lebanese descended people, Shakira being the most famous one. Former president Menem of Argentina was an ethnic Syrian (who became a Catholic, was born muslim), and Bucaram of Ecuador was a lebanese who was ejected from government after being declared insane.
The current president of Brasil, Temer is lebanese. And the wife of president Macri of Argentina is lebanese too, Awada.

In Argentina many muslims converted to catholicism. 100-150 years ago, the difference between muslim and european peasants was much smaller than between a modern middle class european and a modern middle easterner/north african. And on the other side of the planet in a fully christian country, there was no social pressure to remain muslim and no one who would punish them for apostasy.
Multiculturalism and Europeans no longer being Christian eliminate that possibility imo.

We dont pay a lot of attention to it, basically, pity when many drown in the mediterranean, and some leftists blame the USA for causing problems in the middle east.
We dont consider our irrelevance something bad, it is nice to see WW3 from far away when it happens.

Latin Americans live in a curious bubble.

We have a sizable Syrian/Lebanese population in Argentina, particularly in the area where I live. However they aren't refugees, they've been living in here since the early 20th century, and most of them have been assimilated. They are mostly Orthodox Christians.

Obviously, since a lot of them have family in Syria they support the refugees. Argentina has accepted to bring some Syrian refugees here too. People here like Syrians because they see them as white, although they don't like them being Muslims.

No one really knows about it

>What are the south american thoughts on the refugee/muslim hordes in Europe?
shameful, disgraceful, the stupidest idea you ever had, but glad because you'll pay for it

I don't watch media

there are some lebanese and syrian diaspora, but most of them are christians and they're fully integrated to the society, so you'll never hear about them claiming for sharia law or bombing stuff here

Ye, but, can you blame us? We are fucked up enough as it is now. If an international issue doesn't really affect the common man, there really is no point in adding more stuff to worry about, if you want more viewers/readers.
>Shakira being the most famous one
IIRC her Lebanese family was christian?

Also, yeah I should rectify: there is a visible middle eastern population here (colectively called "turks") but they came here decades ago, and are not prevalently muslim.

I think Middle Easterner culture doesn't conflict with Latin America culture at all(except for the religion obviously). So that made Middle Easterners here adapt quickly

>People here like Syrians because they see them as white

bate

Normal, non-aspie people do. In fact women here are crazy about Turkish telenovelas. They were in love with this guy

My grandparents have a Syrian neighbor. He met an argie girl working in some kind of embassy in syria in the 70s when he was 18. Decided to come here with her, mostly for work since he also had an uncle with a small company.
Poor guy didn't eat a thing on the 15 hours flight because he thought they'd charge him a boat load of money for it afterwards.
He now has his own factory, talks with no accent and has a growing christian family. Gets mad whenever people refer to him with the regular "turk" most people nickname middle easterns with

>Turkish telenovelas
Holy shit guys, you too?
Wtf, from a totally latam selection, our most important channel went to broadcast 5 fucking turk novelas.

Would latin americans know about it, though? They're not part of the same cultural sphere. It's not like we europeans know what the fuck goes on in Latin America.

I think turks and syrians are seen on a mostlygood light here not because their skin colour but because they fit the "poor, humble, unprotected workers" our peronist/leftist society likes so much

Shitty turkish dramas do better in latin america than they do over here most of the time

You actually know a lot about us compared to what people here know about you

>What are the south american thoughts on the refugee/muslim hordes in Europe?
pic

>Are there even muslims in south america?
actually yes, but in most countries they don't even reach 1% of the population

>Normal, non-aspie people do
speak for yourself, I never heard of anyone who considered middle easterns white

>women here are crazy about Turkish telenovelas.
+35 yo women*

honorary argentinians
take the gun away and he'd be an average argie

please tell me that shit Küçük Gelin series ends with everyone bombed by Russia or USA
it's fucking endless

>They were in love with this guy
Just more proof that balding doesn't affect you that much if you have a high facial width-to-height ratio.

It was too sudden. Are you sure you are not trying to take over us?
I wouldn't be that mad, but be warned that we are an speciall kind of bureaucratic cancer.

traitors

don't worry huefriend, I still consider your soap operas the best (especially the historic ones)

But people also see them as attractive because telenovelas portray them that way

honestly it was weird for us as well.I remember the time when the first turkish dramas sent to latin america was doing great, the producers would go on the news beign like ''we have no idea why this is happening but suddenly we are making alot of money''
At the bright side, it really helps the economy. On the shittier side, all we do for tv these days are cheaply produced shitty dramas.

Three hurrah's for capitalism

You should leave your fucking bubble, wacko

Brazil is white

Tru dat. The average Latin American(and I mean average, people on Sup Forums are far from being the 'average') know absolutely nothing about Europe. Most people here is ignorant as fuck

All I know about Colombia is that it hosts 'Ndragheta officers, and several high level government people have been knowingly accomodating them. Or well, I know more than that but I consider the most memorable piece of trivia.

tfw no cute turkish gf

didnt even know that show existed tbqh.

>not worshipping muhteşem yüzyıl
i mean atleast the first few episodes were good

Alright, 30 yo women see them that way. What about the other 70% of the argentinian society?

That's a lot, most people here couldn't even tell if Finland is an european country, or even fuckin tell apart Switzerland and Sweden

Most don't know anything about Middle East. Only that they put bombs and shit

but it's true, I never met a -40 yo women who liked turkish soap operas

I don't even know which one you're talking about tbqh, the only soap operas I've watched were brazilians, I mean, did you hear about ''xica da silva'', ''terra nostra'', ''moises and the 10 commandments'' ''king of cattle''? they're GOAT

Doubt Latin Americans are extending their hands to help refugees. They have enough problems as it is. I think they do let some refugees in, but these are probably ones that actually want to make something for themselves. Nobody will give you shit in Latin america. You gotta make yourself, unlike Europe where they just go to leech off the system. Probably why o many end up assimililating to their new cultures so fast.

very good post

I only lived in Latin America during the late 90s and early 2000s but back then most people viewed middle eastern people with a fair degree of solidarity as the new victims of american imperialism. I don't know if that's changed.

Yep, the average person here can only point USA and their own country in a map. And maybe Brazil because it's big and next to us. The rest of the world is totally unknown and mysterious to them(and sometimes in a kind of Romantic way)

>muhteşem yüzyıl
it hasn't got here yet
now the ones playing are the Young Wife that i told you about and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ezel_(TV_series)

it changed very little. we still have too many socialists who think and say that, but don't worry they're diminishing

>Ndragheta
lol didn't know that.

>the story between Enrico and Giovanna
>the Berdinazzi vs the Medzenga

MUH FEELS, gotta watch it again

The only immigrants that i ever seen in Brazil are Haitians, Koreans and Chinese.

what are shitalians and g*ermans

people that live in São Paulo and Paraná

at least you don't get bolivians

I know, but Italians and Germans who immigrated here are completely integrated.

they do actually but they stay in Acre, Mato Grosso and Brasilia D.F.

so are most of the chinese, only the haitians are weird but they live on the favelas so w/e

Those people were better than the neocon silver spooners that basically lived abroad t b h. And I mean that as people.

We do, but they are concentrated in São Paulo,

are you for real?
That shit was our entartaintment industries bread and butter for atleast a year.It probably has the highest budget in all of turkish dramas.

Buuuuuuuuuuuutttttt its also super ottoman empire propaganda so maybe the producers tought it might have been a bad idea.
Anyway i know it did fucking great in MeNA

I wonder how do they manage to learn Portuguese. Here Bolivians can barely speak Spanish to be honest, and it's their native language.

There are a few haitians in my city, and they look very quiet people.

Well, I'm very concerned. These people hurt and rape Europeans and shouldn't be allowed in Europe at all. I'm happy things are turning more right wing so the people of Europe will finally take back their countries.

The french thought the same thing

>can barely speak spanish

wtf?

They speak very broken Spanish and with a lot of Quechua and Aymara shit poured in it and a really weird accent

Anyway, it looks like that they migrating for Chile instead of Brazil.

www1.folha.uol.com.br/cotidiano/2016/05/1768958-para-fugir-da-crise-haitianos-trocam-o-brasil-pelo-chile.shtml

>it's their native language
it isn't actually, that's why they suck so hard at it

well you know how backwater countries are late in everything
AFAIK it was dubbed already, the tv companies just have to buy it yet

he exagerates, but many have bad grammar, and are probably native quechua/aymara speakers, and speak Spanish as second language.

I have been healed by a Bolivian doctor who conjugated verbs badly. It was a young guy in his 20s doing the "practica", aftert getting their degree they have to work in hospitals for a few years as apprentices of older doctors to get experience.

Oh yes the old lets run from poverty and war but i want to choose what country ill go to
someone should nuke ''refugees''

I've seen them in Rio. They're like pigeons, they're ugly, make ugly noises, useless and make the city even dirtier.

There are good bolivians too though. I have a friend who is German-Bolivian. He hates Evo Morales, and his name is Adolf Otto Wilhelm(literally). He's really based, although he's a bit of a Nazi

...

I understand where you're coming from but it shouldn't come off as unexpected :/
If you were syrian and offered asylum which would you rather go to? A neighboring poor country as turkey (where youll be illegally working for 1/3 wages, overcharged rent, prostitution..) or go to a wealthy country as germany with "human rights"?

C'mon, he's white as fuck. Just like South Brazilians

we shouldnt even take refugees in the first place since we have 100 million people in poverty
fuck haitians if they come all the way down here just to get gibs me that i dotn care about what they think they should keep eating dirt in their countries

poor Argentines are worse than Bolivians
Bolivians are poor, but they are poor subsistence farmers who work all day, not poor favela/villa miseria inhabitants who steal, dont work, and love governments that give them money.

Bolivians are very discriminated by Argentines in our shanty towns, and they leave the shanty towns as soon as they can.
They produce pretty much all vegetables eaten in Buenos Aires.

el boli che

I know, I like Bolivians to be honest. But I live in Northwestern Argentina, so maybe that's why. Our own negros are much more disgusting human beings

This.

the moment you do that you shouldnt be considered a refugee and should be turned back to an neighbooring country
Now look at what these people are doing to the entire world

not a boli, but it isnt rare at all to see people ask exclusively for bolivians for some jobs, like cleaning ladies for the elderly.because they are more hardworking, and easier to exploit.

How can you not love the people who view the national economy only through the prism of how much pc gaming components cost

They're adorable

Better than pro-American cucks

Isn't that attitude more like something about migrants looking for jobs in general?

In Argentina, among the poor, we have second and third generation unemployed people, people who never saw their father work.
Bolivians are farmers in terrible mountain terrain, and work all day, they are prefered because of their work ethic.

>among the poor, we have second and third generation unemployed people, people who never saw their father work.
Holy shit. But I might not be the one to be talking, chances are that it's the same here and I just don't know.

Populism and social programs/welfare are one hell of a drug for poor people, and the politicians are the dealers

>Latin Americans live in a curious bubble.
Yes and so do Americans and Canadians.

albeit they live in a different bubble

...

Delet that fucking picture right now kuffar

...
