I limited it to 1 per artist.

I see, very big fan of the 90's east coast huh? great stuff

I don't have a 'top ten hip hop albums' list; mainly because I'm not a cuck

>thinks MBDTF is Kanye's best album
>being this much of a newfag

Dope list, we would get along well.
I know mine is kinda basic but whatever these are all fantastic imo.

pretentious hipster coming through

Oh no, not Jay Z

been really into lofi Soundcloud stuff for a minute

(i'm pretty new to this)

what's third from the left?

i hear so much praise for busdriver but ive never checked him out, is this where to start?

...

>i hear so much praise for busdriver but ive never checked him out, is this where to start?

You should start with Temporary Forever and work your way chronologically to Perfect Hair.

The Money Store by Death Grips,
Minfuck if its ur first time hearing.

my bad I meant right not left

Check out Heltah Skeltah
Signor Benedick the Moor - El Negro
Check out Pete Rock & Cl smooth

Mine, too

This is counting Death Grips as not hip hop

You guys need to be a little more open minded and diverse with your hip hop tastes. Y'all playing too many identity politics instead of having fun with your lives.

Thats a good way to preface objectively bad taste, lol

no particular order apart from paul's boutique

i'm fairly new to hip-hop, recs would be appreciated, thanks

have u heard dr. dooom

Yo wat that song dat has a hook dat goes like dis?

>vocaroo.com/i/s0xa1ILkEZ2W

Lyrics are not "allahu akbar x2" ofc, it's just the first thing that came to my mind.

Bumping

please guys I need it for real

I have pleb, white guy taste. It's objectively shit. Whatever

Good choice with culdesac

You niggas aint gonna help a brother out?

They probably ain't helping you out because they don't have the answer.

>being able to recognise a song from that recording

Come on man, it's a popular song, you all normies know it 100%... I dunno a single word just that it's the way the guy is singing the hook and the other guy is rappin, but he aint rappin no good man

Real nice to see Lucy Ford

luv every artist in the top row

>alias
aye

lese majesty is rly underrated

is there a site you use for these images or just mspaint ?

in no particular order, limited to one per artist

>Funcrusher Plus
>Illmatic
>Madvillainy
>Low End Theory
>Enter the Wutang (36 Chambers)
>Exmilitary (I like other DG albums more but this is the only one I'd really Hip-Hop)
>My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
>To Pimp a Butterfly
>Acid Rap
>Black on Both Sides (I go to school with Mos Def's daughter lol)

Not gonna lie I struggled to name 10. listened to so much fucking hip hop back in 2013 and 2014 the songs and albums I liked just blur together.
Normie taste but whatever

pleb coming through looking for recs

why do i never see this in hip hop threads?

damn this is pretty hard.
There are a lot of hiphop albums i listen to but i wouldnt consider them a favorite, my favorites really change every couple of months, depends on the season as well.

I went for a 4x2, top row are actual favorites, bottom row changes every now and then.
also i didnt want to add more then 1 dutch album because most of you wont be interested in that stuff anyway.

you're right although i am interested in pete philly, perquisite, FS Green, Jiggy Dje and that whole branch of dutch hip hop.

Jiggy dje is pretty cool but im not really into those others, i like stuff like opgezwolle, sticks, fresku, zwart licht, hef a lot more.

personally i use neverendingchartrendering.org if you choose collage you can decide the size of your chart
dutch bros, what's essential dutch hip hop for someone who's never listened to it before?

Yeah, I have no fucking clue, man

Boy in Da corner would be top 3 if we are counting grime.

cLOUDDEAD is great. UC is more like a 1 song EP. Don't really think you should include it in a top 10 albums of all time. Even though I think its a 10. All of those are albums great though.

Good list

Listen to Boy in da Corner even if its grime, To Pimp A Butterfly and Disposable Arts.

southern rap has saved my life

i don't know if you're memeing or not, but if you aren't, thank god someone on this board recognises big soulja is good

In no particular order because I cannot possibly rank these albums against one another at the moment:

Tribe Called Quest - Low End Theory
Common - One Day It Will All Make Sense
Common- Like Water for Chocolate
The Roots - Things Fall Apart
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
Edan - Beauty & the Beat
Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid, Maad City
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
Death Grips - The Powers That B

By the Throat by Eyedea and Abilities

Too lazy to do a collage

Three 6 Mafia - Mystic Stylez
Big L - LOTPAD
DJ Screw - Vol II
Digable Planets - Reachin'
Pharcyde - Bizzare Ride 2 the Pharcyde
8Ball and MJG - Outside Looking In
ATCQ - Low End Theory
Kendrick Lamar - TPAB
Joey Bada$$ - 1999
Schoolboy Q - Oxymoron
Ice Cube - Predator

my roommate believes that Soulja Boy is America's greatest satirical rapper

I just lived in the netherlands for a year and it was around the time Pete Philly's Open Loops came out. I found that shit to be quite hot.

hm, thats hard to say really.
There are a couple of dutch rappers with a really unique style but they are lyrical rappers and if you dont spreak the language i dont think its very interesting, flow / beats arent anything special imo.
There are also a lot of rappers who imitate american styles but most of them are absolute trash.

Two albums i would recommend are "eigen wereld" & "fakkelteit", eigen wereld is by opgezwolle, its a group of rappers, really lyrical and good flows but most of all the earlier beats by delic are really nice, later on they get a producer named kubus who does some techno like beats.
Opgezwolle consists of rico, sticks & delic(prod), rico & sticks do a lot of stuff with other artists under other names, fakkelteit for example is an album by sticks& delic.
If not anything else i think you can atleast appreciate the production of these albums.

dutch hiphop is a relativly new thing with most old rappers doing english songs, two of the first dutch rapping artists were the group osdorp posse ( kind of like the beasty boys but in dutch with amsterdam accents) and extince ( also did some english stuff, but check out spraakwater)

Don't you fucking die on me

Mind telling me name two bottom right albums?

HOL UP

deep puddle dynamics - the taste of rain... why kneel?
divine styler - spiral walls containing autumns of light

not that user but thanks. been trying to learn dutch and it helps to hear the language thru music

what's top right there?

my nigger. uptown saturday night and ziggurat are overlooked masterpieces.

...

my man

rest of you I hope ya fuckin die

sidenote: topsters2 wouldn't let me download

side-sidenote: 80% of memphis rap is shit

Whats top left?

The only album I've listened to fully and liked was Biggie's first album.

I've listened to Kanye's first few albums but didn't like them that much. I'd rather listen to his greatest hits. His albums bore me. Maybe I didn't get to the good ones yet though.

I fucking hate every single one of you, I asked for recs and what do I get? Nothing. Look at my taste. It's fabulous, why can't you give me any recommendations based off of that? Has the collective Sup Forums hip hoppers become completely devoid of anything but parroting and regurgitating the same albums and artists?

Props to for having Aceyalone and Saul Williams on there but I also hate you for lumping Kanye, Kendrick and Danny in with them
You too with the Aceyalone and Kool Keith but again fuck you for putting Danny Brown on there

Shout ot to for having Binary Star

...

youtube.com/watch?v=vjnjqhkPluw

Well it depends. If you're more into a classic rap sound, you should've liked his first 3 albums. After that his albums get more experimental.

Decided to go post-2000 and slightly less obvious.

Did you also decide we were all ants?

Get glasses, i can read all of these!
