Ask me anything anons

I know someone at Schlumberger who would take you

Kill yourself bro, id do it in your place

Go to college get a skill make money. Been in your shoes make 3x what i did

kill your old boss

Oil industry, and regions that depend on it is not a good place to be right now famalam. I got laid off in February and only just just got a decent job yesterday, despite sending out a resume or two almost every damn day.

Oh wow your oil field job didn't work out long term?? Shocking. My question is do you live in Ohio?

>>Goes back on his word to give a letter of recommendation
He never intended to give you a letter of recommendation retard. That should've been obvious from the start.

Enjoy your shitty hotel job faggot

i hear that. I've been looking for "real" career opportunities outside of the field but in my area its just not an option without school. Fuck student loans though man.

Do you really think being black balled is an oil industry term?
> It's not.

always get it in writing bro. if he signed something saying he would give you a decent recommendation and pulled this shit you could have sued him for lost wages and defamation you might still be able to if you get a damn good lawyer.

Texas.
Where i'm from, even when the oil field is doing bad the production in town is still doing good. people dont lose their jobs out here. You can easily retire having worked on a drilling rig your entire life.

Kek suxks op have you tried somewhere in the ME?

What the hell do i know, fam? All i've ever done is work the oil industry lol

Midland?

Nope tried looking for some stuff in the neighboring state NM but they don't have shit.

close enough

You worked there for three years and assumed you were indispensable, and then threw a temper tantrum at your boss, who you knew was a conniving egomaniac.

Did you expect a parade?

Take your savings and get into another line of work. Call it an expensive lesson.

Maybe you should've gone to college. 22 here, just graduated in may making 65k a year as a mechanical engineer with massive upwards trajectory in my subdiscipline

Was paying off your student debt a simple task or was it a bitch like everybody makes it out to be?

For the record op, If you can bullshit and improv you can do anything you want. being an awesome liar makes you shitloads of money. use said money to pay for a degree you are bullshiting about. This is the smart way to do things man. Although I am jewish..... bullshit is a gift man make bricks with it.

Yeah, things are starting to get rolling again in the Alberta oil fields, but there's a lot of competition for new jobs from guys who also got laid off.
Lots of workers in fast food and grocery stores look like frackers and rig hands who've been scrubbed and put in polyester shirt.

>Maybe you should've gone to college
>I just graduated
>Make 65K

When i started at 18yo I was making $19/Hr
I was making 70K by and had no student loans to pay off at your age. Thats why I didn't go to college.

I'll admit it was stupid of me to do that. I've alway know not to piss where the boss walks but i just couldn't help myself. Thats also why i included it in the story. I'm fully aware i could've avoided all of this and thats part of the reason i wanted to share.

So you killed him right? Cause if they're dead you won the war.
source: america.

did you always dream of working in the oil industry? was this a lifelong goal? the one purpose?

At the time i wanted to. Actually he recently got fired over some inside shit. He lost his house and moved to another city from what i hear. So... idk that was kinda satisfying enough.

>bullshit and a lier
>although I am Jewish
Sup Forums was right again kek

I always dreamed of the money that came with the job so by extension, yes, it was my dream job.
