I still don't get what emotion Aidan Gillen is trying to convey. It's not like he's overacting or underacting, he's acting in a way that is completely misaligned with his role. He's not acting as CIA operator, he's acting as alien who had stolen CIA operator's body and is trying to impersonate him.
