>most people think Creed is worse than Green Day, U2, Blink 182 and early Fall Out Boy
>some even think they're worse than Nickelback
Why? What happened that caused a decent band to be treated like the cancer of music?

People are dumb lemmings who base what's good and what's not on the media, critics, image, etc

>>most people think Creed is worse than Green Day, U2, Blink 182 and early Fall Out Boy
are you implying that late period fall out boy is good?
not sure what your up to here OP
I'm implying that most people think late FOB is cancer on the same level as them
Scott Stapp's voice is overly melodramatic with lyrics that amount up to almost nothing. His voice isn't that great to begin with, sounding like a knock off combination of Scott Weiland and Eddie Vedder. The instrumentation's alright, a little too much power chords on everyting, but Stapp's voice is really what ruins the album and band for me.
That said, Green Day, U2, Blink-182 and early Fall Out Boy aren't that great either.
>friend hates nickelback and creed
>loves foo fighters
i seriously dont know how people dont consider the foo as one of the most simple and cliche rock bands of all time.
Human Clay [Wind-Up, 1999]
In the year rock died again, what should come storming back but metal--d/b/a "hard" or "loud" rock and, as Syracuse demonstrated, uglier than ever. Yet these God-fearing grunge babies sound falser than rape-inciting Limp Bizkit, abuse-tripping Static-X, party animals Buckcherry, or even world-dance Days of the New. Because their songs address universals, they don't debase women, a plus. But their spirituality is as sodden as their sonics. I mean, it's not as if familial oppression isn't real. It's the main thing that turns the hard and loud into truth-seekers and revenge-seekers both. So after years of Marilyn Manson lies, young bands seem to have found a psychic space where such themes open up the musical imagination. By contrast, these guys are still in denial, bellowing regressive circumlocutions to drown out the truth inside. Which is what? Maybe lust. C
FF were ok alternative rock for the first two albums. The Colour and the Shape wasn't half bad, Dave's angst at his divorce was real. But after that, they just turned into mindless radio rock that 40 year old businessmen listen to while working out on the treadmill.
