Dont go cheap on the psu, i would also go for at least 600w for that system
Isaac Mitchell
why only 500 w power sup[ly
Levi Johnson
>bronze psu
enjoy your future microwave
Aiden Cook
you asshole, now everytime i look at it im going to think of a microwave lmao
Jaxson Nelson
dont be a cheapass and get an i7
Leo Moore
I'm getting a pc for christmas too, anything wrong with this?

I know it's a budget pc stfu
Mason Sanders
youll forget thats fine, but youll again maybe remember when youre laying in bed with brain cancer due to the microwave being close to you so much
Jaxson Adams
No point in I7 if it's just for gaming
Nathan Anderson
whats wrong with a 500W? PCPartpicker says ill use at most 350W...
Levi Hill
I've got that case, except it's the padded panel version for soundproofing, the thing is great, just watch out as mine came slightly warped or something because the back access panel won't come off without using a great deal of force
Lucas Bennett
^^^^ he's right. Get a better PSU. Try and water cool with explanations from jayztwocents. GPU is great. Fine first machine.
Luis Myers
Quad core for gaming?? Scrap that whole thing. For 1/10 the price you could build a real system with a 8 core 4.0 amd and a radeon hd card. Also get a gold 850 psu because you'll want to upgrade in a year or so.
Ayden Brown
>850
waste
Josiah Scott
I got a higher watt PSU for upgradability and longevity. If you are good to a PSU it will last years. I had a 450 watt from 03 that I didn't upgrade until this year.
Carson Hall
Depends on the games you play, when I used to play WoW the bottle neck was always the CPU since there's a lot of conventional (if that's the riggt term for it?) processing compared to the graphical processing. Not saying that you need an i7 per se but yea..
Levi Cook
a .
Ryan Stewart
If you sli or crossfire video cards you need more power.
Ryder Nelson
are you serious? I'm getting confused about how I should choose the best motherboard for the case, and also a compatible gpu for the motherboard in order to maximize performance... help mee
Ryan Torres
>128gb of storage
Jordan Wilson
bronze pcu means higher chance for equipment failure. read into it. it's like building a really nice house on top of a shitty foundation
Jason Hernandez
get a dvd burner/reader for like 20 bucks
id suggest windows 10 pro for simplicity, if you're a college student check with your school if they offer free keys
z170+K series CPU= future overclocking? if youre spending money on a cpu cooler, buy a water coolor id say, the stock fan does fine for non OC needs
also 128 GB SSD only? least add a HDD thats at least 1TB for all the porn you'll be downloading.
you dont need a sound card or a wired network adapters, read your motherfucking motherboard specs
fuck are you on Sup Forums for with this shit? go to a tech website
Blake Powell
Apparently replying to this post results in dubs.. Testing..
Jeremiah Butler
wait so you havnt built it yet? so are we judging something you want to build or giving you advice? nypa
Gabriel Evans
why no i7?
Michael Hughes
its something I would like to build, but I'm literally a complete rookie... and very unsure
Wyatt Anderson
Didn't work, faggot
Jaxon Ortiz
should i get the p90x graphics card?
Noah Foster
Looks good user
Colton Wilson
whats wrong with a quad core? this guy isnt a super high end streamer for all we know. quad works fine for most games and in reality it depends if he's playing games that deals with high CPU or GPU usage
Nicholas Smith
OP, I'd say everything looks great! 1070 is plenty of power. i5 is great if you're just gaming, the only thing that I would suggest is get another Power Supply. PcPartPicker seems a bit iffy when it comes to saying how many watts it'd use. I'd go for the EVGA SuperNOVA 650W, it'll run you $90 on Newegg, but it's completely worth it. Other than that, looks great man!
Nathaniel Ortiz
But you got em from the magical chain..
Brody Robinson
>bait Intel are better than AMD (I do use a fx8350 cuz I'm cheap)
Kevin Peterson
not op but skylake i7 is100 bucks more and stuff he's getting is already pricey not including he needs more still. might be he's not a super multitasker user like you
Jace King
would get a board that supports a m.2 ssd and get a samsung nvme ssd
Asher Gonzalez
RAM is cheap there is no reason to not go 16 gb. Other than that looks like a decent enough build build, although I would probably prefer a 1060 but I hear the rx 480 is a good equivalent
Juan Jones
Don't listen to this idiot who doesn't even know how to reply to posts
Aaron Hill
this will run anything for years. dont listen to perfectionists if youre on a budget... if not go ahead.
Nicholas Brooks
lookin' good!
David Martinez
Get a 2tb hdd they're only like $60-$70. Where the hell do you think you're gonna put your games/porn?
Keep the ssd and install your OS on it for dem fast boot up times, and then the hdd for all your other shit
Tyler Jones
>buying a 1070, i5 6600K, hd moniter 144Hz i wouldnt call that a budget build
Joseph Garcia
well, like I mentioned it is my first time trying to build a rig... if you have any suggestions...or point out something... I'd appreciate it
Carson Cruz

go on youtube and watch a lot of content about new computer builds and what's important. that's what i did when i built my first one. read and find out what everything does, seems like you want feedback, well ya got it here, and theyre not trolling you, but you still need to consider a few more stuff
Nathan Baker
>only storage is 128GB SSD
David Carter
virgin 4 life
Cooper Carter
Don't get 2x4gb RAM, spend like $5 more and get 1x8gb incase you want to upgrade to 16 gb one day.
Don't get a CPU Cooler because you aren't going to need one as your processor cannot overclock.
Pay $20 more for the RX 480 8GB instead of the 4GB because there is about a 10% increase in performance for only $20 more
Owen Reyes
ok.. now that you adviced that guy.. how about OP
Anthony Bailey
hell ye boi
Hunter Carter
Just buy an Xbox neckbeard
Thomas Ward
Just be careful putting it all together. I put my new system together, and something apparently shorted against my case and blew out my fucking motherboard...
Joshua Ward
Here's what I would change:
Forget about the i5-6600k..to be honest the i5-6500 will perform just as good when gaming. Now that we can save money there, we can also get a cheaper Motherboard since we won't be overclocking we can go to a Micro-ATX, but don't worry it can still support your 16 gb of RAM.
With the made up money let's upgrade you to a 250 gb SSD and throw in a 1 TB HDD for porn and shit.
With the rest of the made up money upgrade that Power Suppy to ECGA SuperNOVA 650 80+ Gold. It will be much more reliable and it is a more of a long term investment.
Michael Price
how's that 720p gaming, low frame rates, and shit-tier aiming with a controller?
Juan Howard
Depends if you want to max out all the games
Nathan Rivera
...
Henry Long
Here's the complete list of exactly what I would do:
CPU: i5-6500 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro-ATX LGA 1151 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 1x8gb Storage: Sandisk SSD PLUS 240 gb Storage: Western Digital 1 TB HDD Video Card: Gigabyte GTX 1070 8GB Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 650W 80+ Gold Case: Whatever you like
Total Price of this build is $867.29 (US dollars), you just need to add the price what whatever case you want to build in. The Micro-ATX will fit in almost any tower except Mini
Wyatt Hughes
bump but add one more stick of 8gb of ram, it wont kill ya and itll help for future's sake
Aaron Morgan
I mean yea you could go for another 8gb stick but it will cost you another $50, and for gaming 1x8gb has never been a problem for me.
Julian Morales
really wanna cheap out on the cpu with a gtx 1070?
Luis Campbell
The i5-6500 will not bottleneck the performance gtx 1070. It is by no means cheaping out. If he went with the gtx 1080, then yea overclock with the 6600k.
Jacob Martinez
everything is a 10% increase for only $20 more when building a PC.
Jonathan Thomas
what in the fuck thats like exactly me, except i gotta RX 470 because im a poor fuck.
