Not bad. Lots of old school stuff

Lately I've been into what I'm going to call the first wave of breaks: artists like Meat Beat Manifesto, Renegade Soundwave, and Depth Charge who pioneered that jungle sound in 1989-90.

i'm getting tired of people making DnB or house or techno generals when /bleep/ exists. it's literally the designated general for all this music. GO THERE. DELET THIS.

If you guys can have two or three grimes threads, I think we can have threads for specific bleep subgenres.

And I'm tired of K-pop being on the front page all the time, or this board talking about the same 10 albums

i seriously doubt this is going to be a lasting thing, so i say who cares post chunes

>IDM
ugh

except thats all breakcore. good job.

though i guess i can see on the last track. still has fast chopped up break though it's not as well done as terminal11 or flashbulb. its not really badly done though, just not very notable. having a gazillion similar sounding genres is stupid anyways from how I see it. if you can make your track drum and bass by removing most of the synths what difference does it even make? what even is a skullstep anyways? is it when you take a few bars of a breakcore track, make a whole track out of it, and add in some edgy samples?

what do you have against skullstep
youtu.be/erIZTqPiyRA?t=86

sorry, i didnt mean to hate on skullstep. whatever it is. the tracks you're posting are pretty great, its having its own distinct genre that im being nit picky about, and that if it is different enough to be its own genre the criticism of the other guy for me posting breakcore instead of dnb would apply to skullstep as well.

/thread pussies

Nah it's not that serious the term is kind of a joke. I just call it all Darkside anyway. There are very few producers who use that drum pattern started by Limewax. I don't know enough about music to describe it but I know what it sounds like. It says on the wikipedia that Limewax started it but who knows. A drum pattern shouldn't have it's own sub-genre that's just stupid.

I could go on but yeah you get the point I'm a fan.

Would this be classed as some variety of drum n bass?

Just pretend the mixing isn't shit it's not finished yet.

Anyone care to post some bad company or calibre?

Out of nowhere some dirtyphonics

youtu.be/IUD11hzpm2g

Posting some songs i like. You'll have to youtube it yourself.

Soular Order - It never ends
Liam Back - Don't wanna play
GLXY - Seductress
Spectrasoul - on the curb / shackles
Calyx - Long Gone
Kasra - Overthinking
Dusky - Skin deep (global communications remix)
Amnesia - Special Request
Carmada - Maybe (fred V garix remix)
Dawn Wall - Spears
North Base - Join Dots
Ren philips - blue (s9 remix)
Apex - Inner space
Electrosoul system - Closer view
Lenzman - Open page

Also if you're gonna tell me this isnt DnB you can fuck right off in advance. You genre police are acting ridiculous. What differentiates music is what you feel, not BPM and sequencing and so on.

Logistics got me into Hospital Records, great label. Metrik is really good too, but I haven't listened to much Camo & Krooked, I should give them a shot

chill senpai that's literally all dnb
