Say I'm hard core in support for no government regulations on the matter whatsoever, and you want an outright ban. It's fairly natural for people to gravitate towards similarities, and avoid differences. To that extent everyone is at least somewhat xenophobic, or racist. Really the issue I have with modern day progressives is that they use that natural tendency as a political tool. For instance they often talk about the dangers of evangelical Christians, due to them being against things such as gay marriage, but wholeheartedly back Islam which is a paradoxical way of thinking when you consider the fact that even in the old testament, homosexuality was not nearly as taboo as it is in the Quran.
I can believe that. At this point, it becomes a matter of how racist you think you think supporting his employees was here. I personally don't think it was that bad my stance wouldn't change no matter who it was. He could have done more to support them doing that than just not punishing them for poor judgement. It's just a pretty subjective one, I think.
