colonialism left a huge wound

Ethiopia is the best African country. You cannot (can not) disagree.

But Ethiopia and Liberia were never colonized and are some of the worst countries in Africa while South Africa, Egypt, Seychelles, Tunisia, and libya all have a long history of European colonies and are the best places in Africa

Liberia was a colony. *Our* colony.

Dumbshit Amerishart you never owned it formerly.

Things are looking up pretty nicely in many parts. I'm honestly waiting for the majority surpassing the Middle East benchmark and use it as shitposting material desu.

even if Liberia was technically started by the US they were never ruled over by the US or taken advantage of in the same way that proper european colonies in africa were. They were entirely spared the whole colonial phase of history.

Granted sticking a lot of uneducated freed slaves into a place that they knew nothing about is hardly a fair starting point they were never an actual colony.

>Granted sticking a lot of uneducated freed slaves

A ton of them were educated though.

>sticking a lot of uneducated freed slaves into a place that they knew nothing about is hardly a fair starting point

Luckily for them they were educated in the ways of slave/slave master behavior, otherwise the Americanized transplants would've had a more difficult time enslaving the locals upon their arrival in the newly-formed nation of Liberia.

No, many of the were freedmen.
They did have the traditional superiority complex up the ass typical of settlers in settler colonies.

maybe in a century or so.

I was referring to the fact that many American blacks who made the trek back to Africa began enslaving the natives upon their arrival. Hell, it's still going on today, it never stopped.

Why a century?

>Hell, it's still going on today, it never stopped.

What?

>what are the wars in liberia
>what are liberian child soldiers
>what is liberian illicit drug/weapon/mineral/child trade

Next you're gonna tell me that General Butt Naked is a Disney character?

There is to much to fix. Most borders are not even proper for the grups that inhabit those states since they have remain very similar to the ones europeans artificialy created. This causes a lot of tensions between ethic, religous and cultural groups. Africa is a complete mess.

Even LatAm is way more stable and developed. For them to reach the same level as LatAm, countries for example, would take several decades.

They are dealing with those issues though and most groups just stopped giving a fuck about national borders because it's never going to change.

> For them to reach the same level as LatAm, countries for example, would take several decades.

There are quite a handful of nations that are Latam level though

Hell a lot of conflicts people pin on ethic, religous and cultural groups are actually based on other factors but modern media just goes for the easy stuff.

South Sudan is not an ethnic war but basically two of the leaders fighting to enrich themselves and stealing money and getting top position and using cronies to fight it out and profiting from the war/ "The key catalyst of South Sudan’s civil war has been competition for the grand prize, control over state assets and the country’s abundant natural resources between rival kleptocratic networks led by President Kiir and (former) Vice-President Machar."

The Boko Haram is a result of local militants getting encouraged by the spread of Islamist groups AND Nigeria's tenuous grasp on Northern Nigeria.

>Libya

Y-you are welcome

Yes somalia regional power by 2020

Africa doesn't need to grow or improve they can just come to Europe and we will help them

Ethiopia was embroiled in a massive 10 year long civil war then controlled by illiterate communists

the fact that it's growing today is testament to the resilience of it's people desu

the population grows at the same pace

A 2-8& GDP increase doesn't mean shit if your GDP is shit tier to begin with. We'd probably have to wait a century untill Africa reaches somewhat normal GDP levels.

Why is African economy growing ?

Because their population is growing faster than their economy.
Because of white people foreign aid.

ACHTUALUCLLY Nigeria's economy was in recession all of 2016
