I didn't
What kind of music do you enjoy, OP?
14-16?
24
You don't grow out of anything.
If you do chances are that you never really liked them in the beginning.
I grew out of "METAL AS FUCK" buttmetal at about 16-17, I still listen to metal without being an autist about it
Never liked it
17
Me too, eveybody has their moment.
Now don't be this pathetic.
t. underage
Never grew into it
This. Mine was 14-15 though, but yeah, that.
t. nu-male
>You don't grow out of anything.
true
>If you do chances are that you never really liked them in the beginning.
Not true.
You don't grow out of things, but chances are if you liked something in your teenage years you probably won't enjoy it as much as you get older. You might look back on it for nostalgia, but that's it. You'll "grow out" of it whether it's linkin park or what your dad listened to.
I actually grew into metal when I was 18
This
>METALZ R FOR REELMANZ
lol teenagers are funny
t. butthurt underageb& newfag
I think we can all agree that this is the best album
>triggered nu-males
>you listen to problematic unbearably white genres like metal? I mean come on it's 2017! check this sick trap song I found!
You're just uncultured and can't even get into all the complex sounds in metal.
so what's i t like being such a pleb?

Metal and trap have major listener overlap though. Both are teen transgenres.
you never do
Are you just one guy? That's some severe autism you have there.
>trap
>transgenres
at 18 when I became a pretentious kid but then grew back into it at 24+
Id fuck that guy.
most of the guys that listen to metal that i know are either fedoras, or weak skinny fags.
but aye aye, we are nu-male cause we listen to non-kiddy shit
I didn't. And I discovered other great music thanks to it.
>are either fedoras, or weak skinny fags
sounds just like Sup Forums
Around 18. I still enjoy a handful of metal albums. What I grew out of was praising music just because it happens to fall under the "metal" umbrella and discounting music for not falling under that umbrella.
Unironically at 22.
I think the real question is what age did you grow into metal? I'm 22 and still haven't gone through this childish phase. I don't want to have to wear diapers when I'm 32.
>dismissing music because of the genre
a true pleb
I was REALLY into metal when I was like 15. Slipknot, slayer, disturbed, cradle of filth I listened to it all. After a few years I grew out of it and now I listen to actual music. My favorites are Radiohead, beatles, in a aeroplane over the sea and Kendrick lamar
Non of that is true is it.
I know that this is bait, but I have a feeling many of the people on Sup Forums that 'grew out of metal' followed a similar musical journey.
>be 18
>EDM fag
>go clubbing almost every weekend becuase want to fulfil my porn fantasies
>think metal is for loosers and emos
>fast forward to 22
>brain starts to reject the wubbeth
>strange urge for slayer and metallica
>slowly expand my metal collection
>now death/black metal fan
sick it op. ive never been so enthusiastic about music until i fully explored metal
what's your favorite war metal
Chemicals can do weird things to the developing mind crazy.
marduk
same guy. every single thread. it's pathetic
And now we wait for all the buttblasted shitposts from 20 something armchair critics who couldn't play a note if their lives depended on it coming your way.
try making a non-pathetic thread then
same
why do you think i made this thread?
This faggot OP hasn't even heard Abigail
I don't but it was much simpler to put it that way instead of, say "well you know, if you're expecting to be dignified with a serious answer in a bait thread on a indonesian saddle crafting forum, you may have another thing coming, as the quality of the thread, or the board itself for that matter, doesn't actually motivate anyone to reply seriously"
wew lad
I have never enjoyed a metal song in my life. Not even for one second. It just sounds so autistic
false
t. nu-male falsies
This
Same
>it is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE for people to not like what I like
fuck you m8
whatever you fucking false fuck
15, that was the age I got out of both metal and buttrock. Got into hardcore punk for a while.
Now I'm into post-punk and whatever else catches my fancy.
I think you belong here m8
>all this triggering
wew.
>false
What the fuck does that mean in relation to music taste? Is this like the "dishonest filmmaking" meme?
End yourself falsie
HELLO
Fuck you Homer
I was an edge patrician progsnob back then at 16, I believe Petrucci is Jesus come to save humanity, being unsocial and speak *Petrucci Solo Guitar Part* as my kind of language to my friends
fag
same.
I miss the rampant stupidity of smashing beers
and acting stupid as fuck
Metal stopped being the main thing I listened to around the age of 16 and I moved onto Jungle and Drum & Bass. I'm 26 now and that's still predominantly what I listen to and apart from the odd Thrash Metal album at times (and whenever Blind Guardian release something new) I don't listen to any Metal at all.
15-16 i listened to alot of thrash and 80s metal e.g kreator, metallica, judas priest, iron maiden, annihilator
grew out of it at 17 when i got depressed and started listning to more sad music like the smashing pumpkins, the cure, the smiths
got back into it at 18/19 when i discovered obituary and carcass
>tl:dr
you just need to find the right sub genre of /meal/ for you, not everyone is going to dig beastial war thrash/post-avante breakdown core
>Doing X? What do you think I am, a child? I only do Y for mature adults such as myself.
You know this is how actual teenagers think, right?
>I shit my pants and can have indepth conversations about it on my forum
16.im a late bloomer
it was around -15
Skipped my metal phase and went str8 to emo phase so..
i grew into metal
impossible to grow out
Metal is fine but the growling shit has become unlistenable because it just sounds like crap
bump
I wouldn't call it growing out of it but I just prefer other genres more now. 21.
underated thread
Grew into it at 17, 22 now and I still love it. I don't see myself not being into it any time soon.
23 and still rocking out
youtube.com
if you really get into a genre heavily, it's never a 'phase', you just become more picky. Metal is just full of teens and purists so this phenomena it more obvious within metals sub-cultures.
metal is fucking awesome. Gorguts forever bitches \m/
12-13
I was a full metal head from 15-25 yo. Now I still like it but I don't wear bands shirts. Haven't done the horns in yeaaaars, I cringe just thinking about it.
I didn't.
\m/
18 now it's dream pop and emo
