Just getting into slowcore after falling in love with Stratosphere. Currently spinning Bedhead - WFLW and Codeine - TWB.
Any recs/charts friends?

>Duster Listen to the 1975 EP and Contemporary Movement. Helvetia's first three albums sound the most like Duster. >Bedhead The New Year. It's basically a continuation of (and IMO even better than) Bedhead, especially considering it features the Kadane brothers from Bedhead. >Codeine Not much sounds like Codeine, but Low claimed to be heavily influenced by them on their early albums.

Low made a pretty amazing and experimental career in slowcore.
I rec anything 3.5 stars and up. There are probably good things below that, but they don't really appeal to my particular tastes.
Lucas Gomez
YEa their entire discography is worth listening to. I started chronologically and I think it works pretty well.
Jason Adams
Idaho - Hearts of Palm
Also if you're into Slint check out "The Going Away Present" by Lowercase.
Ryder Ortiz
I' rec uneasy flowers by autistic daughters. Fairly obscure album that kind of sounds like xiu xiu if they were slowcore
Jeremiah Barnes
I still can't get over how much I like their first album.
Lucas Miller
Lowercase is great, Kill The Lights is their best album
Brayden Jenkins
Rex is probably my favourite slowcore band, and they did a really good collab with califone (loftus)
Bluetile lounge is some good australian slowcore that doesn't get posted much
and I really like pic related
Matthew Morales
>uneasy flowers by autistic daughters
lol this sounds like something you'd hear in some parody of indie music in a comedy sketch
Aaron Young
i know that Sup Forums hates this album but i really think it may be the best slowcore album
Camden Richardson
Alright guys, tell me about American Music Club
Isaac Peterson
why are the vocals always so bad :(((((
Ayden Moore
This! Idaho is underrated as fuck on this Board.
Evan Martin
You mean loves that album? It's in our essentials.
Dominic Turner
Low's run of albums from the debut to Things We Lost in the Fire are excellent. Their other albums aren't bad, but they don't capture the same appeal as the first five. Also, most people like their minimal trilogy the best, but I personally think they peaked with the Albini-recorded albums. Secret Name is highly underrated.
Good suggestions. Idaho is a pretty unique listen. I'm quite fond of The Lone Gunmen too.
You know that Transona Five just came back in a way? They didn't quite reissue Duffel Bag but they released a compilation containing some songs from it and some unreleased stuff.
I've seen that album discussed fairly frequently. mu definitely does not hate it. I just wish people talked more about Happiness and Excerpts from a Love Circus.
>POURQUOI TU MANGEAIS ? >JE MANGEAIS LA FROMAGE >AVEC TOI Lmao, it should be "je mangeais du fromage avec toi" (I ate some cheese with you), and 'fromage' is a masculine noun anyway, it's 'le fromage', not 'la fromage'. And it doesn't make sense to ask "Why did you eat ?" before this sentence. That's hilarious. But thanks for the recommendation user, it's a pretty good album, and that song is cute.
Anthony Gomez
essential

Vocals have never been a strong point in slowcore. Just try to put them to the back of your mind and focus on the instrumentation and mood.
Dominic Thompson
not really that much into slowcore, but Wires by Art of Fighting has been one of my favorite albums this past couple of months
Chase Anderson
Your taste is really good man. I have so much overlap with you.
Jose Rodriguez
Thoughts on the new Planning for Burial?? AOTY contender imo
Blake Adams
Average as fuck like everything else post-Leaving.
Julian Hill
Is that so? Damn, Leaving is one of my favorite albums of all time but in all these years I've never bothered to listen to any of their later albums. Do they really have nothing else worthwhile?
Christian Mitchell
thanks for this
Aiden Roberts
don't listen to that user. his whole discography is excellent. Desideratum and Below the House are crushing.
