european son sucks

love that song, do people hate it?

I've been revisiting There She Goes Again weekly. I'm a sucker for Lou's pop songs.

I can acknowledge the influence it has. I can acknowledge how important it was. I can acknowledge why it is an essential and considered one of the best.

But fuck me, I just think it's boring. I'm sure for the time it was in it sounded different or groundbreaking, but I have a really hard time enjoying this. I also think they were all self-absorbed assholes so that might be affecting my opinion.

The tracks where lou reed is doing the gay voice are the best tracks

Prove me wrong, protip: you can't

I'll be your mirror

agreed

Good shit. Not flawless, but certainly good. Most people who hate it are trying too hard.

I really hate Heroin and European Son. But I love every other song. Femme Fatale especially. What a wonderful song.
