lo-fi Pierce the Veil

amazing record

Collide With the Sky is pretty damn good though

Try listening to it again. And again. Until it clicks.

I plan to, just let down because I was so excited going into it

well now you know what kinda style they play and your head's not clouded by wrong expectations and you can shelve it until you're actually in the mood for that kinda thing

Shut up nigger monkey seriously kys

I knew what style they played going in, it just lacked impact and was really unmemorable

This is the same singer/guitarist and guitarist making more accessible short verse chorus verse songs. Much easier to get into on the first listen.

Do you really "get" albums on their first listen?
Cedric says give it another shot, brah.

>Do you really "get" albums on their first listen?

If the album or artist is really good yeah. Some of my favorites I got first time, others I wrestled with

nah, dude, you suck

unpopular opinion: this is that but vastly improved

yeah

What is the most accessible track on Yank Crime, and why is it New Math?

...

it's Luau for that sweet payoff

Good doesn't always mean accessible. I feel like Luau is so long and meandering that it would turn a first time listener off, even though the second half of the song is practically the most memorable part of the album for someone who has listened to it dozens of times.
