>Bonus points for artificial lighting.

What other lighting even exists underground?

The light from the lava dumbass

Magic of course.

Underground

As Above, So Below

Fire, magma, bioluminescence, etc.

...

The Descent. Set design is as good as it gets.

What is this?

Kanal

What movie is that? Is it as comfy as it looks in that picture?

this
and this

yo mams puss

this

also one of the few movies with an all female cast that was amazing

this wasn't as terrible as I expected it to be

Looks pretty comfy.

I hear it's not very good. I'm a sucker for that kind of settings, so I might give it a try.

The Brazil-esque futuristic setting was gorgeous, it's a shame it didn't have much screen time.

I'm planning on watching it.

The 1957's one?

No movie, just tunneling work for a metro system.

Bump

THX 1138

urban Explorer not great but worth a watch.

The Third Man

10 Cloverfield Lane takes place in a bunker does that count?

The Matrix 1 2 and 3. It's so cozy, especially in the first one when the Sentinels are scouting them near the start.

...

Luc Besson - Subway (1983)

Luc Besson - Le Dernier Combat (1981) post-apo
= ripoff of Marc Caro - The Bunker of the Last Gunshots (1980) youtu.be/NIpWJnwDb_k

Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Lord of the Rings (several), Pan's Labyrinth

Eden Log, it's not great but if you want an underground setting it might satisfy you, also you should really watch The Descent.

Is The Descent 2 any good?

youtube.com/watch?v=IPR5N0wZVYM

it has like two minutes of underground sequence faggot

youtube.com/watch?v=E0pzCii8RK8

kinda good to mediocre

Kontroll

came here to post this two, both are perfect

Journey to the Center of the Earth
Under The Mountain
Haven't seen any of these but they seem to fit the bill

definitely a flawed trilogy, but yeah its really comfy. The underground sets are designed well

10 Cloverfield Lane

Fantastic Voyage, it's a body not a cave but still nice movie and it still holds up pretty well today.

Agent fightscene in the subway in 1 is GOAT. I wish more films could capture that level of comfy martial arts.

The wachowski trannies were/are so good with color and set design. Hopefully they chill the fuck out and return to form with another grimy high-fashion sci-fi fantasy. Fuckin leather spandex baby

Daylight
Do highway tunnels count?

Mimic
Creep
Metropolis

I suppose they do.

creep is the best underground movie ever

Marebito

WATCH CREEP OP
youtube.com/watch?v=bnV_jGgGZH4

i`m interested, going to watch it right now thanks dude

Fucking this. It's Lucas' magnum opus. Star Wars was just for fun. Then he slipped and hit his head on the stairs and made the prequels.

For this movie I'll always respect George as an artist no matter what nonsense he says or does. Van Gogh cut of his ear and put it in a little box but his paintings are still masterpieces.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys, I'll check them all out.

Here are some suggestions from me:

>Big Trouble in Big China
A large chunk of the movie takes place in underground settings.
>Quatermass and the Pit
Takes place in the London Underground. Make sure you watch the first two Quatermass movies, they are excellent.
>The Midnight Meat Train
Surprisingly entertaining and atmospheric movie.
>The Borderlands
Greatest found footage film ever made.
>Cube
Kind of.

best docu i`ve seen in a while

>Quatermass and the Pit
is this a straight sequel, as in it follows the plot from the other two? or is it more of a re-imagination of the story, unrelated to the others.

i might not want to bother with the other two to be honest but this looks good. actually didn't know it was a sequel.

Actually was gonna mention Cube but wasn't sure if it would fit.

>Quatermass and the Pit
based lovecraftian movie

I think u can't skip the 2 first Quatermass: i only have watched the 3rd and it's not a sequel. It's a bit slow, but the ending is worthwhile.

>dat spoiler

You've got my interest.

no its quite bad, I think I only watched it cause that asian chick was hot.

City of Ember was kinda ok

as above so below was surprisingly decent, it has the jump scares that are expected with that kind of movie but they sort of went beyond that and tried to make an actual movie. its a fun underground treasure hunt adventure movie with its fair share of horror and jump scares.

>tfw no metro 2033 movie

came here for this

Pandorum

just finished Dark Days, all it needed was a russian dub and more guitar and it might as well have been a Metro 2033 movie

X2: X-Men United

Alkaline Lake

It isn't a straight sequel, since there isn't much of a plot continuation between the movies, However, the first two build a background story that is only implied in the third one.
As I said, they are all great and surprisingly realistic pieces of sci-fi, despite their B-movie status, so they are worth a watch.

It looks good.

I'll give it a try, then.

It may be happening
pcgamer.com/metro-2033-is-being-made-into-a-film/

An alright-ish movie. I liked the ending, though.

60 posts and no one mentioned Day of the Dead?

...

This sucks.

>It may be happening
>De Luca
Fuck
>L’Heureux
Other than Sin City, what did this guy do?

>Indiana Jones series
Entire underground temple in Temple of Doom, also other settings throughout the movies

>Fortress
Takes place in a futuristic underground prison

>The Core
Journey to the Earth's core - some brief scenes outside the vehicle

Yet another This for (you). Remember to watch the UK version not the US one, OP.

I kinda liked it.

Catacombs

Not a great movie but it has delicious Shannyn Sossamon running around all sweaty, so there's that

Cube might qualify.
Cube Zero would for sure.
fuck Hypercube

This one had some pretty great underground parts. The entire premise of the movie is that going outside kills you so everyone has to remain indoors for the entire movie.

I thought it was pretty great. My friends were 50/50 on liking it or hating it

Also:
>foreign film so you have to read throughout the movie ;_;

>>foreign film so you have to read throughout the movie ;_;
Get a load of this fucking pleb

Sorry I like to look at the entire scene and not have my vision primarily focused on the bottom part of the screen. Not saying that I hate foreign films.

Alien 3

>not have my vision primarily focused on the bottom part of the screen

You just need to read faster dude.

>not just glancing at every phrase once
>not using your peripheral vision
>not learning other languages

would have been greater if she had fucked the ayy lmao

Blast from the Past with Brendan Frazier

>can't read subs in 0.2 seconds

sucks to be you

I've come to terms with my shortcomings

that australian tunnel movie about the monster thing that kills people. its found footage, really good. cant remember the name, it might just be The Tunnel

Watership Down. Be aware though, unlike some of the chill movies posted in this thread (The Descent, Creep) this is some pretty heavy, traumatic shit.

>not taking pic related before watching movies

>>mfw I'm hungarian and have to use this shitty soviet metro every day to get to work
>>mfw it breaks down constantly and a serious accident is bound to happen

Demolition Man had underground sewer people did it not?

>City of Ember
NO. What a fucking trainwreck that was. So much potential was pissed away.

>would rather have a stoopid horrible porno than Aliens 3
yeah, no. fuck off.

Damn, I wish there could be a movie with OP's pic.
That shot is pure kino.

>>fortress
Fuck thanks user I saw that a long time ago and couldn't remember the name

>dat 15 year old Keira Knightley flashing her tits doe...
Worth every minute, desu.

watching this right now & its pretty entertaining so far. so thanks

opiates or bust

stay safe
