Did you ever check out Roisin Murphy?
What do you think of Candi Staton, Donna Summer and Amii Stewart?
+Stevie Nicks
+Jamiroquai
lack of afro is such a fun name
also do you like later-era doo wop
youtu.be
did you ever listen to I dream
also do you like vocal wank stuff
youtu.be
+anekdoten
+beatles
recc me something
That was nice, will have a little exploration
joy division > new order
+fleece, met those guys in texas 1 time
a lot of it sounds like it's stuck right between classic doo-wop, r&b, and early soul its lovely and some artists moved through a bunch of styles in a few years
fun interesting time I think gets overshadowed by the british invasion etc
>I dream
you mean the album by i
no I hadn't yet, I forgot all about it
I loved that performance
why have I not listened to sohyang before
but yeah anything with good strong vocals like that is okay in my book
I haven't tried her yet but I will do now
I like donna summer but haven't heard of the other two
>anekdoten
they deserve more recognition imo
Sounds like it will all be great when I get 5 mins

-----radiohead
hi pop
still dont understand the lil yachty hype but the rest is nice
drive like jehu is a great band, and so are many others that just jumped out to me
what's that women album all about?
where should I start with ween?
+Cuckteau Twins, Death in June
I should try Broadcast
Really liked that Women album
Rip that guitar dude
Solstafir is great and New Order such a classic.
probably just start with the mollusk
...
Sup Forums incarnate
tape damage and math pop. they're one of my fav bands and probably the first 'challenging' thing i got into
+steve reich, & polvo even tho i cant get into that particular album
did you watch regina on kexp?
...
fuck off lazyposters
don't know your stuff besides grant green who's got this lovely phrasing style I can't put my finger on
but yeah if you're into dlj check out harriet the spy, embassy, baby harp seal, chino horde if you haven't
all nice emo stuff, chino horde and harriet the spy are probably my favorite, chino horde is a little more classic hardcore where harriet the spy is noisy and bonkers
yeah that's the one
I kinda forgot about it too even though I really liked it
the thing about sohyang is shes an absolutely incredible vocalist, like world class, better than any kpop idol, but she's outside of the kpop paradigm almost entirely, so her stuff tends towards gospel and ballads only
ive only listened to a couple of her albums but I think her real appeal lies in performance desu
youtu.be
that being said
youtu.be
god I wish she did more stuff like this
I guess there's always davichi to fill that gap
