Historical buildings are not necessarily all that matter in this topic.
Modern contemporary architecture in Germany look so sophisticated and well designed. They've done a great job with city development management.

Most cities who were entirely destroyed in France like Dunkerque actually pretty bad. Fortunately its not that common and usually the allies mostly bombed relevant places and left historical building alone.
