>low productivity >high youth unemployment >aging population >massive debt >massive housing bubble that kept on growing past 2008 when every other country deleveraged >80% of the job creation is part time minimum wage >projected government deficit until 2050
Canada is the next Greece, Spain, or Italy
Carter Lee
>80% of the job creation is part time minimum wage
This. It's pretty bad.
Christian Ortiz
Good.
Jonathan Kelly
OOOOOHHHHH I'M PROUD TO BE A CANADIAN, WHERE AT L EAST I KNOW I'M FREE!!!!!
AND I WON'T FORGET THE MEN WHO GOT PISSED ON AND SUCKED COCKS IN PUBLIC TO GIVE THAT RIGHT TOOOOOOOO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Wyatt Thompson
>toothpaste
At least we're not infested with morrocans.
Oliver Russell
Yeah instead we're infested with syrians and pajeets and chinks
Colton Martinez
Our cockroach infestation isn't as bad though.
Alexander Brown
well at least the bubble will pop eventually (let's not think about how bad it'll be when it does).
Wyatt Hall
Hey, if we're comparing non-whites, pajeets and changs are objectively superior.
Joshua Williams
Are u guys excited for free Trudeaubucks universal basic income?
I can't wait desu
Bentley Sanchez
>tfw you decide to withhold your promises to ensure you get elected next term with the same promises We all know this will be what happens
Lucas Brown
delet
Adrian Lewis
But the budget will balance itself, Trudeau said so
Jordan Campbell
Might be a good idea to post these threads on Sup Forums.
Thanks.
Bentley Nguyen
ye, better keep the catalog saved for generals and le shart in mart memes
Liam Martin
but Sup Forums is even more retarded than Sup Forums, if such a thing is even possible.
Henry Hill
Yes, it's the same reason whenever I go into your mother's bedroom, I expect and want to see her there, not your sister.
Dylan Phillips
This thread belongs here. Why would it belong on Sup Forums?
Carter Diaz
Because it's a thread bitching about politics.
>All politics and current events belong on Sup Forums.
Jack Martin
>tfw u will never live in canadia
Leo Cruz
How else are you suppose to discuss international matters without touching on politics at all? They're very closely intertwined.
By this logic easily 80% of the threads here should be deleted because they're not completely international discussion.
Austin Ortiz
You know you're wrong. You keep posting these threads and janitors delete them.
Just stop. There is no discussion about "international matters" here and you know it.
Oliver Reed
Because there can't be. There simply isn't enough to talk about without crossing into current events and geopolitical discussion, which are both against the rules.
That's why you have all the ">Your country >[totally unrelated question/topic]" or threads with idiotic memes, or generals where no one discusses anything related to international discussion.
Seriously. What does your ideal Sup Forums catalog look like? Because right now 80-90% of the threads are undoubtedly not discussion anything related to international discussion, or they're just reposts posted EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Logan Martin
>massive housing bubble that kept on growing past 2008 when every other country deleveraged
and you complain???
there's honestly, unironically nothing wrong with a bubble except for when it's over. if it's never over, what's the fucking problem?
i wish the spanish housing bubble was still up, or that it was happening now instead of when i was 14 and couldnt benefit from it
Jordan Thompson
Difference is your government has 30% Debt/GDP while mine has 110%.
Isaac Gray
Here's the catalog as of one minute ago, with all generals hidden (which are over 40, by the way)
This can be considered a good day/time too. Usually it's all retarded memes, porn or >your country >do u like boypussies?
Bentley Cooper
>What does your ideal Sup Forums catalog look like?
It won't look like Sup Forums's catalog, which has threads exactly like yours every day, that's for sure.
If you want to just whine about the Canadian economy, Trudeau, immigrants, etc., there's an entire board for that:
Isaiah Martinez
woops, just noticed I missed 4 more generals in the screenshot.
Looks like the general count is 45 now. Seriously faggot why do you get so triggered by these threads? Go complain about "What are u eating today Sup Forums" threads or KURVA ANYATOK XDDD or fucking "You're a cunt LOL do u have a gf? xd"
Josiah Fisher
>It won't look like Sup Forums's catalog, which has threads exactly like yours every day, that's for sure.
The Sup Forums threads are definitely not the issue here.
I've noticed you only cry about this shit, not any of the other terrible threads which get 100+ replies eachtime they're posted. Classics like ">Your country >Are you depressed?" and then everyone posts Yes I want to die im going to kill myself before mods delete it and it gets posted again
Justin Kelly
Nope, I call out /r9k/ threads as well.
If you've noticed my posts, that means you're one of the people who keep posting Sup Forums threads here, so you clearly haven't learned your lesson.
Christian Mitchell
A thread with just leaves is just what you'd expect it to be.
William Turner
I don't get why you can't understand that topics pertaining to international matters run out if you don't include Politics or Current Events.
There's simply nothing else to talk about. Seriously, tell me what threads you want to see here. (be specific).
You simply cannot possibly discuss international shit every single day and not overlap the same things covered over and over or cross into politics.
Christian Morales
How bad is the housing problem in canada? I've heard in parts of Vancouver that 1 bedroom shithouses don't go for anything under a million dollars.
Jaxson Rodriguez
that's why u rent, and it's not that bad.
David Hernandez
Politics and current events are something u can DISCUSS about.
100% purely international "things" there's nothing to talk about. Like what would u make a thread about?
"Russia is a big land mass" and then people reply: "Yes it's a big land mass, according to wikipedia it is blahblahblah km"
Gavin Campbell
there's a lot of multicultural interesting stuff that's not politics, you fedora tipper
Colton Robinson
>it's a leaf making an abhorrent post just another day on 4chins
Brandon Garcia
Good thing it's not our problem this time. If wages are so low, why can't you outcompete our companies? you have a free floating currency and could devalue if necessary.
Jacob Phillips
Yeah, it's pretty atrocious here. Still living at home as I would be spending my entire monthly income on rent if I moved out.
It is bad if young families who earn 70k+ a year total can't afford to own their home without going into debt past the mortgage. Home ownership is a good sign for the future. Right now everything looks bad here.
Asher Diaz
>1 bedroom shithouses don't go for anything under a million dollars. hahaha holy shit
Jordan Carter
>30,000 jobs were created this month >but they're all in part time minimum wage work
Jackson Barnes
like what
it's all either politics or current events, or something more suited to another board.
>there's lots
Quite fucking evidently there isn't if there's almost 50 generals at any time in the catalog, the same threads get posted everyday and people post any shit attached with "your country" so itdoesn't get deleted
William Allen
>It is bad if young families who earn 70k+ a year total can't afford to own their home without going into debt past the mortgage. >Home ownership is a good sign for the future. Right now everything looks bad here.
Owning a home is retarded. It's been pushed down people's throats for the last few decades in North America that it's "important". So now you have all these fags saying "muh house is muh retirement savings Xd". houses are memes for boomer fags.
Parker Lewis
ours only stayed a float from some desperate fuckary from the government.
it caused housing prices to skyrocket into the unafforable for new families area. if it collapsed and fucked over all the idiots who over priced it more families would have homes instead of living in shitty apartments. i don't know what the bubble was like in spain, but here the only people who benefit from it are old as fuck and bought houses when they were under 100k.
Benjamin Perez
who gives a shit, those people will sustain themselves (to an extent at least) instead of relying only on gibs, so that's good i think
in spain its kinda the same, there's a lot of new jobs which is what we need to get back on track, but a lot of them kinda suck
Owen Powell
>who gives a shit about young people? hello Justin
minimum wage is not a sustainable wage in our economy. those wage earners end up living off their parents and often rely on hand outs from the government. if you have a family and are stuck with part time minimum wage you're likely considered bellow the poverty line.
Ryder Adams
well i was 11-14 when the housing bubble happened here, but for example i remember about some guy on my class bragging to the school psychologist that he had no plans to even try to get good grades as he'd drop out of high school and make 3000€ a month (after 50% of taxes), also it made the country wealthier overall so people made more across all fields, for example 100k as a software developer for a bank, etc
thats why people is so frustrated and seems to think spain is nigeria tier in comparison now
Carter Robinson
>Long-term thinking What are you, a socialist?
Ian Jenkins
hey, im in my early twenties and living off 1500€ a month (after taxes)
im just saying shit jobs is better than no jobs as these people are actually making a living and dont rely ONLY on handouts
Ryan Cooper
that or just angry
like I said many people are unable to make a living on these jobs. also most of these places need full time work but if workers get full time hours the company has to give them health benefits. a friend's parents of mine growing up couldn't even afford glasses because no benefits so she had trouble in school because she couldn't read the board.
it doesn't make anyone wealthier here except people who owned lots of property before home prices became unaffordable. or people who built very poorly constructed new homes that would fall apart in a few years but charged out the ass for them.
for a while banks were even able to give out a 30 year house mortgage (because many home were that over priced). some financial papers have said Canada has the most over priced housing market in the world. right now the interest rate is something stupid under 0.5% so it costs no money to borrow money so people keep raising the costs of housing because it's possible to pay them over a long period with mortgages. but the interest rate can't get much lower so the bubble better pop soon.
Ian Roberts
>job creation
Eli Johnson
You forgot
>having a leaf as a flag
Asher Cox
flyktingar skapar jobb vet du väl
Christopher Cruz
Yeah, but sadly, unlike southern Europe, people don't have any other reasons to like Canada apart from being a good place to live so you're probably fucked
Joshua Gonzalez
That's the worst part of it all
>poor >asians everywhere >frozen waste land
We may as well be Siberia
Logan Flores
at least our negatives causes lots of people to move after landing here
and immigrate illegally into the states
Ethan Peterson
>for a while banks were even able to give out a 30 year house mortgage (because many home were that over priced). some financial papers have said Canada has the most over priced housing market in the world. right now the interest rate is something stupid under 0.5% so it costs no money to borrow money so people keep raising the costs of housing because it's possible to pay them over a long period with mortgages. but the interest rate can't get much lower so the bubble better pop soon.
I'm pretty sure that economic activity is making the country richer overall, just like with Spain. You probably don't want it to pop, bro. Your government is just being smart trying to keep it up.
By the way jobs that don't pay enough to make a living are a thing here too. I think it's because living with parents into your twenties is accepted culturally and employers know a lot of people does it. Ridiculous tbqh
Liam Diaz
The property bubble needs to pop anyways. It will be miserable but at least you can laugh at all the chinks in Vancouver getting their house values slashed.
Matthew Kelly
gee, thanks, Hat
Caleb Bailey
trickle down economics are a joke.
what actually stimulates the economy is regular joes having disposable income to stimulate the economy. that doesn't happen when they struggle to feed themselves and make rent. every Christmas medias and the government cover peoples spending habits to get an idea how people are doing. when the job market is shitty people don't spend money because they don't have it.
some jerk off who owns lots of property and hires accountants to pay as little taxes as possible does little compared to people just eating out once in a while and buying knick knacks.
you are welcome
the only reason our border security ever improves is because you guys get mad at us.
