Did he ever make it to admiral or did the numerous disciplines on his record bar him from getting that far before retirement?

With everything he did, he would never make Captain. I think saving Jadzia instead of completing his vital intel mission was the last straw.

not becoming an admiral in star fleet is sort of to a person's credit

Numerous disciplines are actually a prerequisite for becoming a starfleet admiral, the problem with Worfs is that they're not of the evil or insidious kind that they like to see when selecting candidates for admiral positions.

He topped off at Lt. Commander before leaving Starfleet to become the Federation ambassador to Qo'nos. He was simply too hot headed to go on to have a full time command of his own, this is an asset when dealing with Klingons though.

I can understand that. It would probably be much easier for him to become an admiral or general in the ImperialKlingon defense forces than become an admiral but damn he could lose his rank overnight just by pissing off the wrong person or not going with the program.

Worf never really seemed terribly interested in climbing the ladder In the first place.

in the ep where he saves dax's life instead of meeting with a cardassian informant who could've ended the war a year sooner, sisko said he could probably never make captain because of that

>Captain, we're being hailed by a vessel off the port-bow
>it has no weapons, its shields are lowered and it's broadcasting intergalactic peace messages on all frequencies. It also has a white flag and doves painted on its side. Life signs indicate it is entirely manned by innocent children who have no knowledge of violence and are genetically incapable of murder or betrayal.

> recommend arming photon torpedoes.

Also don't forget that in the episode from the picture, he destroyed a Klingon transport because he didn't check his target before firing. It was still absurd, however, that the federation was even catering to the idea of holding a trial to determine as to whether or not worf should be extradited to the Klingons, which were at war with the federation at the time.

Brunt. FCA

>*hyperventilating* So, tell me, Ad-vo-CATE. Isn't. It. Posssssible... that there were no civilians on the transport Worf destroyed? Isn't. It. Posssssible... that the ship he saw was sending out FALSE. SEN-SOR. IMAGES. and that this whole affair was STAGED so that the only Klingon officer in Starfleet would be accused of a MASSACRE and the Federation would be forced to stop escorting the CONVOYS? Tell me, Ad-vo-CATE, isn't. It. Posssible??

Who the fuck would want to be an Admiral when he could be an Ambassador and go Targ hunting with BASED Martok and call it work?

He probably ended up better than any other cast member from any of the shows.

Ezri, jadzia was dead as hell

>Working through the series in order for the first time
>Just watched Improbable Cause and The Die is Cast
>All that Garak and Odo
>Tain's glorious plan to wipe out the Dominion
>That Odo torture scene
>The Romulan/Cardassian fleet getting wiped the fuck out
>The Defiant unleashing hell

God what a great two parter.

how was he not fired and dishonourably discharged after this episode?

The new Trek show better be about Brunt, Weyoun and Shran sharing a small freighter together.

Avery Brooks is a god among actors.

He's talking about "Change of Heart" where Worf abandons an important mission to extract a Cardassian defector to save Jadzia (who dies a couple of episodes later anyway).

Sisko said he'd pretty much ruined any chance of him ever being promoted past Lt. Cmdr.

its pretty obvious that he has no desire to obtain real power (see the episode where he duels and kills gowron and gets asked to lead the klingon empire - but refuses and hands it to martok instead)

besides he becomes an ambassador in the end which makes him a pretty influential person in the federation

Also throw in Moogie for good measure

>
Sounds like a typical Romulan ploy. Worf is right,

This just compounds that the writers really hated the character for some reason.

>tfw Quark never got that moon
>or a working ship

I cry every tiem

You forgot pic related, since I know it was a mistake.

why does the ferengi dodge after the shots already missed him?

why doesnt data have a phaser hes probably got pinpoint aim and amazing reflex?

>why does the ferengi dodge after the shots already missed him?
Because ferengi are cowardly and phasers are scary. Probably more of a cringe/cower than a dodge, really.

There's nothing more courageous than the risks inherent in acquisition.

I just watched this episode not too long ago.

It's great for a training simulation where Geordi is on the Romulan holodeck, he kills O'Brien, then sits down with the other two guys at the table and they start talking while it pans to dead eyed O'Brien lieing against a bulkhead in the background.

"Commander, tell me about your sexual organs."

He could've been Chancellor of the Klingon Empire if he wanted to

that would have lasted ~5 minutes because they'd all cry about muh starfleet.

>just started watch ENT
>themesong starts playing
Why?

>"Oooh, that was too easy!"

NO ONE'S GONNA' BEND OR RAPE ME

Cause Archer has got the faith of the heart

I unironically love that song. I even put it on my MP3 when ENT was released

Is there fanon for why his forehead changes over the years?

1 is distinct.
2-4 is the same with MAYBE some slight modifications.
5 is the same as 2-4 with notable modifications.
6 looks distinct - not sure about that one
7-8 are the same

All strafleetians eventually become admirals. Look at a typical starfleet vessel. 90% of the crew are ensigns which means they are on the officer track. On fuckups like the curly cuckoo Irish guy was an enlisted rank (seriously, he must have trisomy or something to not become an ensign when every Tom and Harry could become one). In real life militaries, Admirals are few because of limited money and fleets to command. In a post scarcity society, this is not an issue. Only your aptitude and willingness. Serious, the Transporter Irish must have fucked up real bad somewhere.

He has got PTSD from fighting all da evil space nazis shoaing those poor Bajewrans

We do not discuss it with outsiders

O'Brien didn't go to the Academy, so he's not an officer. It's just that simple. And there are only so many officers: the Academy doesn't look to be much bigger than a modern military academy, so only so many officers get made each year. Before Wolf 359, there weren't that many ships in Starfleet (since the 40 ships destroyed there were a huge blow), so even if everyone was an officer in TNG (many of the extras in TOS and STVI were enlisted), there weren't strictly that many officers. And as we see in "Tapestry," cucks don't get promoted at all, let alone to command rank. Most people probably retire at Lt.Cdr.

Also, Star Trek isn't strictly post-scarcity, since resources are still limited. Only Humans (and probably just Earthlings) don't have money; it's not a Federation-wide thing. There's still mining and trading and stuff. Ships take resources and people.
