Panics first two albums are good
MCR is good all around
FOB had a good three album run thru the mid to late 2000s, wasnt a fan of take this to your grave
future dadrock
it means i'm getting old
basically they're the emo trinity
i love panic, they haven't had a bad album
MCR's pretty good, no strong opinions
FOB to me is background music at best, and annoying pop-punk at worst
Brendon Urie's vocal range is god tier
complete agreement, Patrick' Stumps WhOa-Oh-oH's are pretty good too.
>Panic
One really good pop-punk album
One fucking amazing psychedelic rock album
A good Power-Pop album
A decent Electro-Pop album
A really good Pop album
>MCR
Fucking legends, Gerard Way was the last true Rock star after Cobain.
>FoB
4 really good Pop-Punk/Alternative Rock albums
2 passable pop albums that are basically Stump's solo career under the FoB name.
never listened x3
>Never was an emo kid
FTFY
which patd albums are which in that ranking
>Panic
A couple good singles from the first two records
Brendon Urie is underutilized talent
>MCR
Very good band
Put out three great records and a pretty good one (Three Cheers n Danger Days are top tier)
If it wasn't for their fanbase, I'm sure they would be universally praised
>FOB
Minus the two most recent record (they don't count), they're one of the strongest bands to come out of the mid 2000's
FUTCT and IOH are both great albums
Folie a Deux is an underrated masterpiece
1. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out
2. Pretty. Odd.
3. Vices & Virtues
4. Too Weird to Live. Too Rare To Die.
5. Death of a Bachelor.
good reasons why I go to Sup Forums instead of tumblr
My Chemical Romance is good, never listened to the rest
rawr! xD
follow me on myspace
Annoying edgy white girls. Dont mind the bands, but their fanbases are fucking cancer add top to that list aswell
there was never a period in my life where i didn't think these kinds of bands were corny asf
>My Chemical Romance
Love them, I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and Danger Days are god tier. Black Parade is alright.
>Panic! At The Disco
Only listened to a couple of their albums. Pretty. Odd. is one of, if not my favorite album overall, and I like Vices and Virtues and Death of a Bachelor decently.
>Fall Out Boy
Decent. I enjoyed From Under The Cork Tree and American Beauty/American Psycho a lot, but the groups sound as a whole is basically pure teenage angst if it could be made into music. Not to say that Panic or MCR are any less angsty, but yanno
They literally saved my life
I'm a little torn here. I feel like many of these acts haven't aged well in the sense that I can't go back and give full listens to A Fever You Can't Sweat Out or The Black Parade because of how much they fit the bill for teenage angst. At the same time, I still have nostalgia blasts listening to any of the three. Of them, at least Panic tried to evolve into the modern music landscape where MCR gave up and FOB...I'm not really sure wtf FOB are doing.
Also, Under the Cork Tree is still good
to me personally?
nothing.
opinions: pretty odd is REALLY fucking good, most of panic's other stuff is good too
mcr were my favourite band when i was about 13 and i can't really look at them objectively but i still like all of their stuff a lot (with the possible exception of black parade)
i like fall out boy's earlier stuff. their poppy stuff is ehhh mediocre
So far everything FOB has put out after the 00s has been either trash or mediocre at best. I don't know if they will ever recover.
Panic made one incredibly shitty pop punk album, then made an enjoyable baroque pop record
MCR started off with a decent post-hardcore record, then followed it up with a series of absolutely wretched, bland pop rock records.
FOB has a career of bland, no-pulse pseudo-Midwest Emo albums, but every once in a while they randomly drop a great emo song, like "Sugar, We're Going Down"
MCR will forever be the key Hot Topic-era band. Way's solo album is actually decent.
Two of Panic's members left the band to start a 60s throwback garage/psychedelic band, and it's actually better than anything Panic ever did... still kinda mediocre, though. When Panic started, they were really a second rate post-blink pop punk band.
FOB's members actually started in some awful, but legitimate underground metalcore bands. FOB is the only band here that has any connection to real emo.
All are pretty mediocre desu
Panic is nostalgic for me but only their first 2 hold up for me.
My Chemical Romance used to be my favorite band. I only dislike Danger Days, everything else including the singles is great.
I never got into Fall Out Boy but I like a couple of their singles.
i just know a handful of songs from Panic and FOB.. But i love MCR, although i can't get into their first album.
this
I could image Welcome To The Black Parade being played on classic rock stations.
how did they do that?
dont care for fob/patd (i like one song off the new patd album but couldnt tell you what it is without having to pull it up)
danger days and bullets are still two of my favorite albums, hesitant alien was pretty good for a solo thing
they all suck shit though desu
>Panic!
Love their first two albums, can't stand the rest of 'em
>MCR
They're still pretty good, I guess, but I can't see myself going back and listening to one of their records
>FOB
Take This to Your Grave is pretty good, don't really like the rest of their pre-hiatus albums, their post-hiatus shit is awful
MCRs first album was fantastic, second was pretty good, shit after
Literally only ever listened to one PatD song
Think I only ever listened to one of FOBs albums
I couldn't give less of a fuck about P!ATD
FOB is pretty good. Folie holds a very special place in my heart but their other albums I could take or leave.
MCR is unironically one of my all time favorite bands, Three Cheers and Black Parade will go down as two of the best albums of the 2000s
No matter how much I try, I will never not like Panic.
The other ones I couldn't give less of a fuck about.
stop trying so hard
The Young Veins suck ass dude.
nuPanic is better than that shit.
upvoted!
FOB has the best singles of any of them. all of them are hot topic-tier though
I Write Sins Not Tragedies is the best FoB song.
thnks fr th mmrs has the best hook of any song of any of the three groups. wentz is a good pop songwriter
second place is either dance dance or helena
patd is all 100% 14 year old girl trash cringe shit
Wentz was also a good lyricist too
>patd is all 100% 14 year old girl trash cringe shit
but that's wrong you fucking retard
i don't think you used enough buzzwords
lol why are you upset bro. it's hot topic shit
>tfw to smart for Panic! at the Disco
see
>cringe
>u mad
you sure youre not 14 yourself?
patd is bad music and bad lyrics. urie has a nasally shrill voice
I enjoy the MCR's debut, but probably mostly because it's a good ripoff of better bands like Thursday or At the Drive In. The rest of their discog is pretty meh, but they have their bright spots.
While Brendon Urie is clearly a talented singer, Panic's music has always come off as shallow and obnoxious to me, so I never really listened to them properly.
I like Take This to Your Grave, but most of FOB's discog comes off as bogus opportunism, and it seems like they're into jumping onto every conceivable musical bandwagon they can. Their new shit lacks any sincerity their old stuff did. And at this point they're basically a poor man's Imagine Dragons, if you can even imagine something so utterly shite.
(You)
nah, nuFall Out Boy has much more interesting lyrics than ID and Stump's vocals are miles ahead of ID's lead singer
