could use some real advice mixing/mastering wise here - anybody with guitar/programmed drums/vocals experience?
and also tips on the drum track? i'm going for a sound that's kind of drum-machine-ish but i feel like it's stuck in the uncanny valley between sounding programmed and sounding realistic, and it just sounds cold and cheesy
not so much into the indie music genre but I cannot imagine this sounds good to people, Im sorry but your voice physically hurts. The guitar playing sounds good but maybe find somebody else to do vocals.

Woah, "I don't know" is really blissful. Much love for the vibes. V crisp & professional production :o
:o very chic, paranoid london, very cool ~ there's definitely an audience eager to gather together and dance to your music! uh ohh!
hmmm ha, your style is a challenge for me to understand... wait a second, this is exactly the type of thing I was looking for! perfect study music! thanks!
mmmm campfires n blankets n logs
brain math music, not for me but very well executed!
Could use some more dynamic range all the elements sound fine but it's just to squished it doesn't have much energy I feel. I really like how you chop the vocals though.
Sent you a msg.
Listened to such cold hands, pretty chill it's kind of minimal but maybe some variation of that icy sounding synth could help bring some interesting into the track.
Your delivery is really interesting in light warrior I think you could have something REALLY compelling if you work on it a little bit, the vocals are mixed a little bit awkwardly, they sound too static and like they aren't apart of the song.
I think if you cleaned up the mix a little bit this would be really good, I like it how it is now for the most part.
Working on releasing an EP in a few weeks, here's the intro track. Would really like to hear what anyone thinks
guitars sound really good, vocals could use a bit more compression, boost in mid-highs/highs and some overall timing fixes. not bad though. bit more delay/reverb would work too (roll the lows off your delays and reverbs). I pretty much cant hear your snares, they need more snap/high-end and to be distinguished from the kicks (also muddy) more. use tube saturation/glue compression for better drum sounds (free plugin RoughRider is really good). crash cymbals down a lil bit
not bad at all, good vocal production. liking those vocal swells in the middle. shakers are a little loud but overall you are accomplishing your goal (from what I can gather). nice sparkly sounds throughout

anyone else watching the GGG fight today?

How many cats did you kill when recording Distance, holy fuck that was awful

I do all types of rap. From running through bars, to trap, and turn up shit. This one is me fucking around, but I have one on my SC where I spitting bars. Im dropping another one tomorrow where Im spitting bars.
love your stuff man, has a really unique sound. I think Children of The Earth sounds a little disparate at times though, It's hard to find something to really grasp onto musically.
(me) Thanks, real sweet feedback :D constructive comment is v much appreciated ~
your sound is so unique, production is never something I intended to learn... due to not having a link to a producer I "forced" myself to learn ~ no doubt it's proven to be a v valuable skill, however much of a novice I am :)
This is me, continuing on feedback. Some feedback on my work would be great in return.
Sounds fairly chill, could be developed better. It's peculiarly produced, but there's good work put in there.
already heard and given feedback for this. Love it until the vocals come in.
Wow, unreal man! Really love the sound, though the mix is a tad dodgy. In fact, this would sound totally professional and great if it weren't for the mediocre mixing.>
>71656124 Love the sound man, really relaxing and calm. Mixing needs work, but otherwise it's cool. Could be expanded. more
Keep learning production man, I really think you have great potential.

thanks a ton for the mixing advice! the saturation is helping the drums a lot and i'm working on the rest of your advice - everything already sounds a hell of a lot better

!!!!! Love the chords, it's extremely well done. I love how intricate the work with the various lines is. This is subjective, but I feel like I would prefer it if the drums at 20 seconds were half as frequent. Like when the kick hits again, that's where I'd put the snare. This would space it out more, and you'd be able to listen to melodic lines a little more. Great work though.
no worries, glad I could help. using glue compression on the drums really helps - look up New York compression and Mid-Side mixing too
Matthew Reyes
I really like "dreaming?" it's real chill but I feel like the snare is very loud in comparison to the rest of it
Jose Cox
Thanks! Yeah, it ended up getting a little out of hand. It was like 3 am and I promised myself I would publish it that night, which in retrospect was a terrible idea.
I like! Good chip tune is the best. Nice arps. Some parts kinda remind me of the h3h3 theme.
Everything sounds a bit too clean and lifeless. Don't be afraid to loosen things up, get off the grid and dirty things up.
Great sounds. The mix is a little off in places with the balance of things, maybe too heavy on the compression? But the musicality of this is great.

Hey guys in need of some feedback on my latest track, I will be returning all feedback on soundcloud! if you like what you hear be sure to share it with friends and family, Thank You in advance
I like this track, if your aiming for like a video gamer audience this is great
Sebastian Turner
I really like distance, I feel what you aiming for. I would say mix the vocals a bit better, there is definitely some peaking going on, I hear distortion all over the place. By all means if that's the goal then your headed in the right direction
>Really Varied stuff, mainly electronic/hip hop, but i get aggro-atmospheric sometimes >Electro, cloud hip hop, fun synth design >i try to really fill out a lot of details >Hot Sugar sometimes, NIN other times
Juan Gray
This is great. A good mix of chilled out vibes/hard stuff.
