I never liked the book or the cartoon. I doubt the film will be up my alley.

Spielberg stopped exciting me awhile ago. I still enjoy his movies, but they're always a very safe ride. Bridge of Spies, super comfy movie with an enjoyable Tom Hanks performance, but it takes zero risks, it's standard Spielberg.

Maybe Ready Player One will be better, seems to be something outside his usual fair for the last decade or so.

I'm intrigued to see it, I grew up watching the cartoon, but I can imagine I will be disappointed as I'm sure it won't have any of the original songs or charm.
