Post an album more people should listen to and explain why. If something sounds interesting, check it out and let the person know what you think.
Pale Cocoon - 繭 (Cocoon) It's "ethereal wave" like Cocteau Twins, but much more atmospheric and minimalist (yet still melodic). The songs function well individually, but flow even nicer as a whole, with a wonderful climax halfway through.
Iosonouncane - DIE This one takes styles such as contemporary folk, alternative rock, Mediterranean folk, progressive pop (inspired by Lucio Battisti), and a little ambient and combines them incredibly well. I think it has the potential to become a Sup Forums favorite if more people listen to it.
Aoki Takamasa + Tujiko Noriko - 28 Sparse glitch pop that occasionally comes around to sound beautiful. It's not "beautiful" exactly but it is really hypnotic and a good transition album for someone interested in electronic music.

>Théâtre du chêne noir - Chant pour le Delta, la Lune et le Soleil (1976) It's often tagged as French "psychedelic rock", but it's quite misleading: imagine French spoken-word by a gypsy woman, daydreaming about pagan gods & hippie utopia, while musicians played gentle Spiritual Jazz. Actually it's a concept-album created for an underground theatrical performance. youtu.be/56vG2_srkcA

Both are overlooked masterpieces

Harold Budd, Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie & Simon Raymonde - The Moon and Melodies This one's a collab by several members of Cocteau Twins in their heyday, and it's fantastic, yet it often gets forgotten because it's not Cocteau Twins proper. If you like any of their stuff, give this a listen.
This is sweet, those drums are awesome. Grabbed. Absolutely, especially DIE. It might be my AOTD so far.

Is Mariah's Utakata no Hibi Sup Forumscore yet?
Armenian singer with songs in half Armenian and half Japanese playing early 80's progressive jazzy / funky / krautrocky / spacy proto-electronic stuff with a Japanese band lead by Yasuaki Shimizu

The Fall - Gorillaz Listening to this album gives me a feeling of this small journey through the US. It's the Gorillaz at their most experimental and I think it pays off (cept for Seattle Yodel, I hate that one).

Japanese experimental new wave is really interesting. Wish I knew more about it.
Someone on here showed me pic related (Aragon - s/t), and it's excellent stuff in a similar style. It's not on youtube, but check out the song "Horridula", the sound is wonderful.

A.R. Kane - 69 Another ethereal wave album (How 'bout that). This one's similarly sparse like Cocoon, but from a black British dude in London in the 80's instead of Japan. It's very hypnotic as well, with some pop moments. It's worth checking out for the unique factor alone.
