I use it at work because people might think I'm autistic if I brought my hard drives full of music in with me.
Also kys tripfag.

Might as well help you guys out. Buy a prezzy card from Philippines/China/Korea, make a facebook account with the location as Philippines/China/Korea (let's face it you don';t have any friends anyway)
Spotify in Philippines is about $1.50 USD. Someone recommended it here a few months ago and I don't think I'll ever go back to paying for it on my regular facebook account at $12.99 a month (literally the price in NZ)
>being poor
>Buy a prezzy card from Philippines/China/Korea
How?
people sell them online. You can only buy them from post offices, but you can buy them at a little bit extra price from various vendors on the internet.
*Good one, you mouthbreather. That sentence was barely comprehensible.
> not using Spotifree
>that fucking airhorn advert
They make the ads as annoying as possible to make you pay for premium don't they
>that loud as fuck construction work advert
Jesus christ, makes me not wanna get premium out of spite
Sup Forums isn't private
>*alarm starts ringing*
I remember before Christmas there was a Spotify thread and some user gave away premium accounts
rip
>people might think I'm autistic if I brought my hard drives full of music in with me
literally no one would think that
I'm just getting ads for spotify premium for the most part, but I've only had spotify free for about a week.
Do they start giving you actual ads after you've been there a while?
>not including it as part of an industrial noise listening session
You do realize they intentionally use obnoxious commercials, correct?
Spotify is the least horrible streaming platform with an alright library, I'd rather always listen to physical copies (fite me) or straight from my hard drive. Unfortunately, this is impossible for most people so you're going to have to compromise.
1. You can use the browser version with ad-block to get some of the premium perks, most notably - no ads.
2. In some (all?) countries you can get a family package and only pay like 5$ a month, which is well worth it if you use Spotify on mobile or anywhere else where you don't have a hard drive with your own music or actual physical copies.
3. Like this user said, student discount.
Do ads stop after your subscription for premium runs out?
I haven't gotten any after it went back to free
I download this, but how can I open this shit when I clicked it says "what app you should open with"?
>OSX
"You will never notice how Spotifree works! Apart from an unusual silence every couple of songs or so :)"
Drag it to the Apps folder

The absolute madman
Want a break from the ads?
retarded Sup Forums faggot

Why aren't you using Google Music?
>renting internet

THE ABSOLUTE UNDERAGE FAGGOT.
This, it's honestly pretty good and the cloud is great for phonefags.
>streaming music
>can't afford $5 a month
>throwing your money away just because you can
Do I even have to explain why this is a stupid fucking argument
You're retarded. I'd rather pay $5 a month for good quality music than 128 kbps shit with possible virus. I'm sorry you're a poorfag,
>128 kbps shit with possible virus.
Did you just get out of a coma? It's not 2002 anymore.
>virus
it isn't 1999
>you have a shitty argument
>hurr durr you can get it for free
Likewise. You can get most things for free. I don't mind spending $5 a month (which is nothing) since Spotify is convenient. I can find all the music I want instantly with no ads, and I can download all of it to my phone. And here you are making a big deal out of 5 DOLLARS and telling what other people to spend their money on. Autism.
>I can find all the music I want instantly with no ads, and I can download all of it to my phone
Incredible. I can't imagine any other place that offers this benefit, especially for the low price of $60 per year.
I'd rather put that toward my education.
>I'd rather put that toward my education.
Yeah, $60 every year towards textbooks will make your financial troubles disappear. lmao
This whole discussion has been about not paying for music, why the fuck would you believe that I pay for textbooks?
>semantics
Replacing "textbooks" with "tuition" or anything more expensive would just help my point. $60 a year is equivalent to spare change under the couch
When you're old enough to have expenses you'll understand how $5 a month isn't "nothing".
In the meantime keep enjoying your imaginary benefits.
Different user here.
I'm older than you are, and $5 is really nothing. Don't get mad at anons because you are flipping burgers or mopping floors. Get a better job.
And when you finally get a job that pays more than $10/hr, you'd realize that $5 is actually nothing.
>spending $60/year for music you don't own or deal with ads
>buffering
>only being able to use it when you have internet connection
>not all of your favorite artists are guaranteed to be on it
You're a fucking idiot. I bet you have an iPhone 7 too.
>only being able to use it when you have internet connection
premium has offline mode
>$60 a year
not even half of a full day of work for a whole year
>$60/year
Very little
>not dealing with ads
Yeah, it's nice
>buffering
Nope
>needing internet
I don't live in the middle of the desert. I have internet. And Premium has offline
>not having all your favorites
>muh rare music
The vast majority of of typical Sup Forums shit is on there
>implying I own an iphone7
lmao
>implying that even someone flipping burgers (i.e. me) can't afford this shit
some people just really want to justify premium being not worth it
>he's a student
Lol. You realize you can just teach yourself for way less, right? Oh that's right you're a student, so you're too dumb to realize that.
>Very little
That's cool. I pay $0 and get every benefit you do.
>The vast majority of of typical Sup Forums shit is on there
Lemme just look up some King Cri- Uh oh!
Hmm, guess I'll try some Neil Y- Oops!
I personally wouldn't do it (I torrent my music), but I pay for both Netflix and Hulu because I can and idgaf. If he wants to pay for a premium streaming service, more power to him. But $5 ain't shit.
>That's cool. I pay $0 and get every benefit you do.
Good for you, user. I'm sure you need that $5 per month to scourge together more Ramen noodle meals. I can spend my money on what I choose if I think it's convenient, especially if it's only $5/month.
>muh music
Fortunately, not everyone listens to the shit you do. Spotify will satisfy most
My phone has offline mode too and plays music I put on it for free. Dont even need to pay $5 a month for it. Imagine that.
>Very little
$0 is much smaller.
>I don't live in the middle of the desert. I have internet. And Premium has offline
My phone also has offline. And it's free.
>The vast majority of of typical Sup Forums shit is on there
I guess they must have Prince, Tool and Thom Yorke on it then.
Meanwhile my phone's library has everything I want.
>anyone who doesn't irresponsibly sign up for as many monthly expenses as I do is impoverished
It's only convenient for you because you're clearly too stupid to use a simple P2P program.
>>muh music
>Fortunately, not everyone listens to the shit you do. Spotify will satisfy most
What is "moving the goalpost", Alex?
"Hurr I don't need it anyway so it's irrelevant!!!" It doesn't make the problem go away. It just makes you stupid for literally paying money for a smaller catalog.
I see this logic on Sup Forums too and it's really silly. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's a good use of your money. It's truly infantile thinking. Should I give a tip to the person giving me a sample at Costco because it's a piddly sum?
>>anyone who doesn't irresponsibly sign up for as many monthly expenses as I do is impoverished
>everyone who doesn't torrent their music like me is stupid
You sound like a hypocrite. It's more convenient because it is you mongoloid. You can look up most music instantly wherever you are and listen to it even if it's not downloaded on your device. If internet is for some reason not available, you can easily download hundreds of songs for no extra cost. Not everyone wants to go through a P2P program and forcibly download everything. Many people who aren't NEETs would not mind paying $5 a month for a bit more convenience. You must be too stupid to understand that
>moving the goalposts
Not really. Look up a generic Sup Forums rec chart and you'll find enough to make most happy. Even if the shit is not available, you can always torrent it on the side if needed, but many people would rather listen through the convenience of streaming
Who are you to say what isn't and is a good use of money? $5 is not much for convenience, especially for those who listen to music everywhere they go
>strawman
okay
>Who are you to say what isn't and is a good use of money? $5 is not much for convenience, especially for those who listen to music everywhere they go
Well it's pretty damn simple to figure out actually. Spotify does not offer anything exclusive for 5 dollars. They offer you music, in a convenient format. Or, "more convenient", since downloading an album off zippyshare and dragging it into your music player isn't a fucking inconvenience. Paying 5 dollars for Spotify does not give me anything I cannot get for myself, for 0 dollars. This is not my opinion, this is not an indictment of Spotify, it is just a fact. You are not paying 5 dollars for the music, you are paying 5 dollars for the CONVENIENCE. Also consider you don't actually own the music so once you unsub you lose it all. That's not terribly convenient is it?
As you get older you start to understand the value of the dollar. What should you buy with money? Tangible things, things you CAN'T get for free. I pay for my car insurance or my rent, because that's the only way to get those things. I do not pay for my music because I do not have to.
I understand your perspectives but the meme arrows and really spotty argumentation really don't help your cause other than coming off as someone loyal to a fucking corporation who doesn't employ you. I don't care if you have Spotify or not but don't assume things about other people because they don't use it, and certainly don't have any illusions about what Spotify really is compared to the alternative.
>you are paying 5 dollars for the CONVENIENCE
yeah, That's what I said
> don't assume things about other people because they don't use it
And don't assume things about people who do use it.
>What should you buy with money? Tangible things, things you CAN'T get for free.
You should buy things that have value to you, whatever that is, tangible or not. Spotify does have value for people since it's just a bit easier
> don't have any illusions about what Spotify really is compared to the alternative.
A slightly more convenient way to listen to music, which will be worth $5 measly dollars for some people. If you don't mind torrenting, great. If you just want things instantly, $5 a month is not breaking the bank. It's really straightforward. Either way, arguing over $5 a month as if those who use Spotify are terrible with money is mindless
I don't mind if you or anyone else uses Spotify my man, I'm saying understand what it is and don't say things like "you're poor" and make far out justifications. It makes you look like a jackass. It's like when people with Macs try to say they're better than PCs.
"DUDE JUST PICK A SONG ALREADY"
The fucking obnoxious faux-techno that plays in that ad is hilarious
>tfw sponge off my gfs spotify premium account
HAHA DUDE JUST PICK A SONG HAHA
YEAH I LIKE THAT ONE
A SNITCH NIGGA THATS THE SHIT I DONT LIKE
>paying for music
>not having ad block
Do you think in a nigger or teenage girl?
I literally have not seen a commercial for ten years, im on some north korean shit
>paying for music
>not even to own
>paying to rent music
>paying to rent music with ads

Yeah i'm sure those youtube videos will get me licensed as an MD. Sure you can learn some things you learn at any college/university online, but painting it with that broad of a brush just makes you look like a retard m8
And it only took them 11 years to get it.
this. just edit your hosts file and enjoy ad free spotify. (or use the web version with an adblocker)
Big fucking deal
> not using DEEZLOADER
What a bunch of plebs.
