Thoughts?
i used to think it was amazing. its probably the first full album i ever really loved, back when i was a turbopleb
but in my opinion now it's just alright
10/10 without Get Lucky, Lose Yourself to Dance and Doin' It Right
I liked Get Lucky but I don't think of it as the focal point of the album
I think Instant Crush is the musical equivalent of moonrise kingdom
boooooorrrrrrriiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggggg
Decent /drive/core
It is fucking nuts for driving dude, especially when there is a girl in the car
One of my favorite albums of all time
The production is among the best I've ever heard
6/10
this, also
>dubs
Danced with a girl in a A&P parking lot to Lose Yourself, great memory.
Hearing Touch for the first time made me moan and dance against my will.
Good, but not this great, revolutionary album they clearly thought they were making. They come off as so subtly self-centered these days. It has good production and a fair number of good songs, but aside from Touch, nothing really stood out to me.
pleb Doin' It Right is a 10/10
Absolute ear candy production filled with horrible cheesy shit songs and terrible track order. Fuck Farrel Asshat and Giorgio by Moroder should have been it's own single/EP
it's good, it's just a little too long. could have cut out a few tracks. touch and contact are GOAT
Give Life Back to Music is an absolutely amazing opener. Other than that I think it's a bit uneven in song quality but overall I still really enjoy it.
trash
First time I listened to Touch I was high off my ass laying on the floor of my van in my dad's driveway at night. It was like going to another fucking universe, now everytime I listen to it I feel so nice. The album is nostalgic for me now but Doin' it Right and Lose Yourself to Dance are my least favorite tracks.
really good, though Pharell Williams almost ruins it
how? I like get lucky I thought it was exactly what it needed to be
promoted like it was the next big thing...
Because it's Daft Punk
Complete fucking dogshit. Definition of redditcore
You are severely autistic
>if reddit likes it its bad
>i use music exclusively as an accessory to define myself against others (because I otherwise I have no sense of self)
lame-o
actual question how old are you?
and why was this the first Daft Punk album you listened to?
please go back to /r/music
Not him but RAM was one of the first albums I ever bought. I'm 21 now.
24 and first album I bought was Demon Days when I was like 12. Everybody my age has something resembling a CD collection from their childhood. Did itunes just create a gap between people 3 years apart or did you just start listening to music really late?
Discovery was better
Yeah, pretty much the latter. I never really got into music until I finished HS for some reason.
No
definitely top 10 album of the 2010s
19 years old
I heard RAM because of get lucky
this was back when I was 16 and a turbopleb, like I said
homework is their best (unless you count alive 2007) imo but i dont listen to daft punk anymore
Washed down radio friendly garbage
Some really quality tunes mixed in with some really uninspiring ones, occasionally in the same track.
I always felt like Contact needed some kind of payoff, it's an incredible buildup.
Giorgio by Moroder is on another fucking level though
man when you're 50 driving your fuckin kids to school and get lucky comes up on the radio you're going to flip your shit and scream THIS WAS FROM MY ERA and embarrass the shit out of your children
TOUCH
I REMEMBER TOUCH
One of the best standalone albums of the decade.
Solid 8/10. Fantastic production. Everything sounds crisp and the reverb is nice and subtle. They really nailed what they were going for. Not a bad track though on the album.
Total shit, and I mean it. Darkside's remix is what this album should have been.
HAF >= Discovery > Homework >= Alive 2007 > POWER GAP > RAM
If you listen to this album with great headphones the layering in the production really stands out as amazing.
Especially on Instant Crush, the background vocal harmonies and the mixing of Casablanca's vocals with vocoder are incredible.
Audiophile porn.
Reminder that if you think this is good but Woman by Justice isn't then you are a pleb
wow you just really don't like anything poppy. its an amazing album all the way through.
Get Lucky plays well with Touch IMO. Doin' It Right is great. I agree about Lose Yourself though, instant skip and nothing of value is lost.
RED deserved that grammy
I like both, but both also have songs I usually skip. Woman's grown on me a lot. New live set looks great too.
